Smiley Culture Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 The man seen as largely responsible for the emergence of what we know now as “The Class of 92” but probably also a hell of a lot of other players too.
Subscriber CaaC (John)+ Posted February 14, 2019 Subscriber Posted February 14, 2019 R.I.P. Eric. SAF has always been regarded behind the 'The Class of 92' but he knows that you stand beside him or even before him on that one.
Administrator Stan Posted February 14, 2019 Administrator Posted February 14, 2019 That's a shame . Whenever the Class of 92 were talked about his name always followed. Man Utd and a lot of that 'class' owe a lot to him. RIP Eric.
Dr. Gonzo Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 RIP, brought through some great players. Obviously very good at his job, shame he was a Manc. Unrelated, but someone please teach Gary Neville how to use commas.
Cicero Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 Class of 92' and Phil Neville. All seriousness, RIP.
Vegan Kel Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 A bona fide club legend for sure and he brought through many players who progressed to the United first team or made careers elsewhere, even as far back as Whiteside and Hughes. RIP
Vegan Kel Posted February 25, 2019 Posted February 25, 2019 Nice little documentary on MUTV about Eric and the class of '92. The most enjoyable thing about it, besides giving an insight into how he prepared players for careers in football at United or elsewhere, was that the main focus was on the players that didn't make the grade at Old Trafford as their stories are more interesting than hearing about Scholes, Beckham, Giggs etc for the millionth time https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WASQCkTrlKY
