That's such a big impact. Worst possible way to hit the wall. Rips half the car off and significant damage to the floor, electronics, gearbox and everything in the middle part of the car.

Always knew Grosjean was a bit of a selfish prick

Romain Grosjean: "Mate. Mate! Can't believe my luck."

Not too bothered about your team-mate who's just crashed massively in front of you, then.

2nd impact across the other wall does most of the damage to his car.

Hahahahah the levels of desperation from Ferrari. It's a circuit they were expected to dominate and Lewis is only 0.200 behind, splitting them both.

2nd would be a good result anyway, both titles are all but wrapped up already.

No doubt, but we (the fans) need something new in terms of pole and grid starts.

This is absolutely great.

I suppose, although personally seeing the package that Mercedes have put together is entertaining enough to watch.

Certainly, but competition is good, and that's what happened today, is that for the first time this year, Mercedes aren't lapping everyone in Qualifying.

Happy for MaClaren and Dann

Oh Jenson.

Remember the days when a likable Brit won races?

His last win was only 2 weeks ago.

Massive for Ricciardo and Renault to beat both Red Bulls. Banging lap to beat three of the top six cars.

Norris is doing a cracking job as a rookie in the McLaren. Shouldn't underestimate how quickly he is getting similar results in qualifying to Sainz. Just needs to show a bit more guile in the race.

Hope Vettel gets a good start, Lewis has had some cracking starts since his poor ones the first 2 races. Lap 1 be interesting because there are 2 or 3 long straights where you can get a tow.
