  1. It will never change that he broke the record either.
  2. Nein, they are reigning champions until someone else claims the title. Personally if Kane goes to Bayern and only wins German silverware, I’d see that as the lesser ending go his career in comparison to him having the chance to break the all time goals record. If he wins a Champions League with Bayern only then would it be worth it. But if he won La Liga and not the Champions League I’d say it would be worth the move
  3. Because the internet and Sky TV didnt exist then. It does now, the game is global, Harry Kane will be remembered for a much longer time globally as a PL record holder than he would winning Bundesliga
  4. You lose your title as champions of Germany if another team comes along and wins it. That’s how sport works lol Kane having his record broken will not mean he will lose the accolade of being a Premier League all time goal scoring record breaker, he will remain there in history much like you would if you win a title.
  5. They take the title of champions from you…its exactly the same concept as having your record broken. Except the next person who breaks it will likely be one of the very best to have played the game
  6. Missing the point mate, Kane will be remembered for it as much as a title in Germany, more so than a title in Germany let’s be honest. Bundesliga is small fry compared to the Prem.
  7. Lads the team who wins the league next season takes the title from you lol. Kane can break Greave’s record and that can never be taken away from him, even if someone else breaks it.
  8. No one had Sky tv back then, or the internet. I certainly couldn’t tell you who won the Bundesliga then, or if the competition even existed
  9. Record breakers will always be remembered, you can’t take away breaking a record in the same way you can’t take away winning a league. You can lose your title as champions, more quickly in fact, than you can lose a record. I get the appeal, Bayern are big and there’s a chance to win the Champions League. If he leaves its because of that which is fair. But I think it’s a harder ask for Bayern than it is for Madrid, United or Liverpool as the Bundesliga is considered to be less of an achievement in comparison to winning the Prem or La Liga.
  10. If Kane stays fit he can easily do that in 3 seasons assuming he carries on at this rate. But I did think he was closer to the league record than he actually is. But yeah I think that record is better than winning the Bundesliga, to do it in a time where the Premier League has had better players and teams than in the Bundesliga, I’d prioritise that personally. I think the only teams that would really be worth moving for are Real Madrid, Liverpool and United. (obviously City have Haaland.)
  11. I guess he’s previously fucked himself over with bargaining power so will see out either a transfer or new contract till the end of his current one. Haha good point, but no English player will match it anytime soon. I think the record is worth a lot more than winning the Bundesliga tbh. I do think winning the Champions League is the real reason to give it up and in fairness to Bayern they always seem to have a chance.
  12. Just feel like he ain’t giving up all time Premier League record scorer to go and play in Germany
  13. So we are interested in Nathan Collins and Joachim Andersen @The Palace Fan. Seems strange to be in for Andersen if we won’t stretch to £25m for Collins, can’t imagine he’s any cheaper. With out current centre back options being 35, 33 and 30, with us also having lost Pontus Jansson, Zanka being a bit part player and Kristoffer Ajer perennially injured our focus is that we bring in another young centre back who is ready to challenge for a spot in that back 4/5. What is also expected to happen is we are not aggressively pursuing a Toney replacement as that is already in house. We’ll likely play with 3 up front next season now we have Schade and I imagine Wissa and Mbeumo will be encouraged to step up their goal tallies respectively. If there is an issue there it’s one of depth as we then only have Keane Lewis-Potter, but I imagine we’ll sign a winger before the window ends unless we’re expecting a B team graduate to step up.
  14. Have Norwich got much young talent in their team? Because those transfers don't scream "let's have another crack at staying up in the Prem if we get up", they scream "here comes the yoyo".

Yeah I use channel 9 a lot tbh, works great. If you’re after highlights the NRL youtube channel is pretty good too
  16. I’m on series 3 of Succession. I think it’s really good but at times gets a bit dry/repetitive. Don’t think I’ve ever watched a show where you know for a fact that every character in it in one way or another is a massive, massive cunt. Tom and Greg for example, both genuinely hilarious, both complete weasels. I do like how their characters are used as a tool to explain the ridiculousness of the world they inhabit though.
  17. United kit is ruined by a horrific sponsor
  18. Spurs’ jersey is so meh, nike really don’t produce good kits for them
  19. There's only one place Messi should be playing football and that's at Barcelona, let him dictate from deep with a group of players willing to do all the running around him. Obviously their finances are a mess, but it'd be good to see him winning major silverware there again.
  20. Forgot image uploading was a thing, will get some pictures up Today is our final day here, back home tomorrow. Not been to Bilbao though it was on the cards, felt there was gunna be too much travelling with Biarritz and San Sebastián so gave it a miss. Definitely will be making the trip over there at some point though! Been trying to speak (very limited) Spanish whilst here, did try Basque but not all the workers are from the region. They appreciate a Kaixo and Eskerrick Asko though. When I say I’ve tried to speak the language it’s essentially been variations of “kaixo, puede tenner dos ___ y ____ por favor”. No idea how formal or informal it is but I feel like I speak 7 languages when the waiter doesn’t have to resort to speaking English lol
  21. I have so many things to say about this place but I’ve just had the cheesecake from la vina and had it topped with a caramel tasing fortified wine and it was fucking mesmeric
  22. Currently on my first holiday abroad since pre-covid, just shy of 4 years. Fucking needed it. Spent two and a half days in Biarritz which was very calm and relaxing, lovely coastal town that I’d happily spend 10-14 nights in. Currently on day 3 of 4 in Donostia San Sebastián and honestly I don’t think I’ve ever been to a better city. Their Pintxos (Basque for tapas) is arguably the best food you will eat in Europe and I’ve not even touched the Michelin star restaurants. There is also a beer called 18/70 that every bar seems to serve (some places only serve it) and honestly it accompanies the food beautifully. It seems like a very wealthy city and tbh if like me you come from a working class background where you ate unseasoned food throughout your childhood this place will seem like a hidden gem, but to maybe the more wealthy and Euro savvy it’s a must go destination. It is a tiny city, feels similar to somewhere like Liverpool in terms of size but honestly it’s worlds apart. Being here feels like a small city on steroids, it’s not directly comparable to these cities because of its smaller size but it’s 100% in the same league as major cities I’ve been to like London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Sydney and Melbourne. It’s definitely above those for food, sun and sea, which really is all you need. I have spent the majority of my days on La Concha beach, the first night we were able to watch the sunset on it which was great. The first full day, away from the beach, me and the missus secured one of the only tables at Bat Nestor, viewed as the most iconic bar in San Sebastian. Their tortilla de patatas was genuinely incredible, we then shared a plate of heavily salted tomatoes soaked in olive oil, before a plate of charred and salted peppers, which led to one of the most famous bites in the city, the steak. Cooked to perfection, rare, again heavily salted and full of flavour. Today was a boat ride around Santa Clara island, onto it for an hour with a swim in its tiny beach before heading back to La Concha for a swim. Tomorrow we will be climbing the two mountains (sort of) either side of the harbour. Every evening has and will be filled with time spent in the old town eating Pintxos and drinking beer. There’s so much of the city to see still, we’ve barely touched the centre or any of the other areas. There are vineyards too not far away which will have to be done in future. If I could post pictures on here I would, but I can’t for some reason. But if you need a place to holiday, San Sebastian is a great choice.
  23. Ian Wright said it best, the slogans don’t work and they need to be hit where it hurts the most, in their wallet. No surprise this action is only being taken now the entire footballing world are watching. The effigy is truly mental, a stark visualisation of their hatred for a black man.
  24. Getting Joey Swolled as a professional athlete is mental
