thats why its so effective, American’s think theyre trying to stop a scrum
  3. Honestly after that game where you should have put 3 past Fulham, I thought you’d be fine. Without the ban you’d be 2 points behind us and Frank is getting a lot of plaudits this season. Granted we have a massive injury list and we could be higher this season, you’d still be floating with us, West Ham and Brighton who are all doing well. I’ve always rated Dyche and I’m glad he’s getting a chance at a club where he will get greater recognition, it’s just a shame he doesn’t have the money to spend that your previous managers did.
  4. Watched the Real game yesterday, they looked like they lacked depth up front at the beginning of the season and in fairness they still do with Joselu. But Brahim Diaz played really well and is a really good wide addition for them, was a lovely combo with Kroos to take the lead against a packed out defence. Bellingham seemed infuriated all first half, thought he was gunna get himself sent off. It is such a cheat code that Madrid can be without Tchouameni, Camavinga and Modric and then still stick Kroos in at the base of midfield to dominate play. They’d be so much more dangerous if they had a better option up front than Joselu.
  5. I think it’s also the case that you’re a lot better than you were last season and the season before. Dyche has made you difficult to play against and has done to Doucoure what Moyes done to Fellaini. I think as we progress into the new year yourselves, Wolves and Bournemouth will push up towards mid table.
  6. We could meet Scotland in the quarters!
  7. You are completely right, I read it wrong. Still, could have done with France being on the otherside of the draw lol
  8. Assuming England make the quarter finals, there will be another like fixture against France
  9. Honestly whoever this commentator is on the Optus stream, they commentate on us nearly every game and it's the same waffle everytime. Toney, Toney, Toney. Ivan Toney. Long throw-in, Ivan Toney. Never mind we are playing without Henry, Hickey, Ajer, Collins, Jensen, Damsgaard, Dasilva, Schade. Nevermind that Lewis-Potter is on the bench finally returning from injury and so can't start. If we're not playing as well as we could, it's Ivan Toney, if we're not creating as much as before, it's Ivan Toney. Apparently playing with possession rather than going long is alien to us, as if we haven't played 4-3-3 against every non-top 6 side we've played this season. Currently playing with a defensive midfielder at left back and an attacking midfielder at right back, a centre mid making his second professional start playing alongside 2 defensive minded midfielders. But still, the issue is Ivan Toney. I'd love to get a job as a commentator, apparently you don't need to pay any attention to the teams you're commentating on and can do it week in, week out. As you might be able to tell, it's been a boring 45 minutes so far with little going on in the game
  10. I think this is a good idea, how professional footballers treat referees has caused a crisis in refereeing down to grassroots level. If a protocol is needed to prevent refs from being abused by players and coaching staff then it should be introduced. With that said it is ironic that this is being introduced at a time of possibly the worst level of officiating we’ve ever seen. Referees need to be protected but clearly there is an issue at the very top which is causing all of the inconsistency and bad decisions that have occurred this season. Heard there was talk of VAR intervening for corners and the like? Madness surely at this point?
  11. Honestly wasn’t that impressed by Villa. Think Spurs could have grabbed 2/3 goals early in the first half and another 2 early in the in the second. But the game went as expected, Spurs ran out of energy and didn’t have anyone to change the game from defence. I think what was obvious from Spurs’ perspective today away from the flurry of injuries they’ve suffered is that they need a goal scorer outside of Son. Johnson and Kulusevski are both great creators but they lack a clinical edge. Obviously having Maddison in the team would help with that but still, they need another forward that can grab 15+ goals and help put a game like this to bed.
  12. That was a poor goal to concede but a lovely finish by Watkins, Emerson Royal at centre back though, Lo Celso deep midfield, no wonder Villa found it easy.
  13. Spurs should be about 3-0 up, but they ran themselves into the ground first 20 minutes and the performance dipped. Do feel like Villa’s bench, especially after a taxing international break, may win it for them.
  14. I’ve got this piece of shit and what have they done to it? The moment the cpu puts you under pressure your ayer cannot pass, cannot dribble, cannot turn. Just immediately give the ball away.
  15. One of those games, I knew it’d be Havertz or Maupay who scores the winner. Don’t have a lot of complaints, good pressure there from Arsenal at the end but an annoying way to concede. The difference is really what you could do from the bench and we couldn’t do much tonight with so many players out and players already playing out of position. Kind of frustrating as we had two, nearly 3 chances that we could have scored from and Arsenal really just had the goal. But that is the difference at this level, you pay the money Arsenal can pay then eventually you will get those moments and results. Honestly I’m just looking forward to a fully fit and unsuspended team. Toney, Schade, Damsgaard, Dasilva, Jensen, Henry, Collins, Hickey…7 of those start when fully fit.
  16. We should be 1-0 up, Mbeumo should have squared to Norgaard for an open goal. That’s frustrating. Outside of that we’ve created very little going forward but have been solid at the back, reducing Arsenal to nothing chances or getting them so excited they dont understand the offside rule when theyre 2v1. Ramsdale has been a calamity and if theres one fanbase that will get under his skin it will be us. He’s been well off the boil. You can tell its been a while since Mee has started a game, very rusty in possession. We have a centre mid and an attacking mid playing wing back, an 18 year old making his first league start and 8 first team players out. As much as I want us to win and play better going forward, I’ll happily take a scrappy or dour 0-0 against a close to full strength Arsenal.
  17. We know which lino will fall for the dives then and hes currently on Arsenals side
  18. Wissa - Mbeumo Yarmolyuk - Norgaard - Onyeka Janelt - Mee - Pinnock - Ajer - Ghoddos Flekken
  19. No Jensen tonight, thats a huge loss. Assume we line up as below. Feels like a 4-4-2 which is strange for us. Interesting to see how we line up on the pitch. Edit: I reckon Norgaard steps into a back 5, but again who the fuck knows Wissa - Mbeumo Yarmolyuk - Onyeka - Norgaard - Ghoddos Janelt - Mee - Pinnock - Ajer Flekken
  20. Can't lie the more I see of the inside of the new Everton stadium the more boring it looks...it weirdly looks like the old White Hart Lane. You'd think there'd be more going on inside to make it stand out a bit more seeing as it's brand new and they're not constricted for space.
