  1. In fairness Cricket is such a poor excuse for a sport, its very close to pool and darts in that its a game for people who arent actually athletes
  2. different gravy being the all time goalscorer in England though I’m sure that plays a part, but even so Dixie Dean is more relevant than whoever won the first division in 1905.
  3. but he will never lose his little trophy he gets either, because he will always be known as a Premier League great because he held the all time record. And we are going to know his name even more when he loses it, because the next person to win it wont be Marcel Schmelzer, it’ll be some Harry Kane/Kylian Mbappe/Halaand type freak
  4. brosefine ofcourse Sky and the internet are a factor, they have changed massively how the league is watched and perceived around the world. They have helped make it the most watched league in the world, so ofc in a time without that we are going to be less likely to know previous record holders
  5. Lads this has been a fun chat, we done all of this without calling each other a cunt. What a day on TF365
  6. It will never change that he broke the record either.
  7. Nein, they are reigning champions until someone else claims the title. Personally if Kane goes to Bayern and only wins German silverware, I’d see that as the lesser ending go his career in comparison to him having the chance to break the all time goals record. If he wins a Champions League with Bayern only then would it be worth it. But if he won La Liga and not the Champions League I’d say it would be worth the move
  8. Because the internet and Sky TV didnt exist then. It does now, the game is global, Harry Kane will be remembered for a much longer time globally as a PL record holder than he would winning Bundesliga
  9. You lose your title as champions of Germany if another team comes along and wins it. That’s how sport works lol Kane having his record broken will not mean he will lose the accolade of being a Premier League all time goal scoring record breaker, he will remain there in history much like you would if you win a title.
  10. They take the title of champions from you…its exactly the same concept as having your record broken. Except the next person who breaks it will likely be one of the very best to have played the game
  11. Missing the point mate, Kane will be remembered for it as much as a title in Germany, more so than a title in Germany let’s be honest. Bundesliga is small fry compared to the Prem.
  12. Lads the team who wins the league next season takes the title from you lol. Kane can break Greave’s record and that can never be taken away from him, even if someone else breaks it.
  13. No one had Sky tv back then, or the internet. I certainly couldn’t tell you who won the Bundesliga then, or if the competition even existed
  14. Record breakers will always be remembered, you can’t take away breaking a record in the same way you can’t take away winning a league. You can lose your title as champions, more quickly in fact, than you can lose a record. I get the appeal, Bayern are big and there’s a chance to win the Champions League. If he leaves its because of that which is fair. But I think it’s a harder ask for Bayern than it is for Madrid, United or Liverpool as the Bundesliga is considered to be less of an achievement in comparison to winning the Prem or La Liga.
  15. If Kane stays fit he can easily do that in 3 seasons assuming he carries on at this rate. But I did think he was closer to the league record than he actually is. But yeah I think that record is better than winning the Bundesliga, to do it in a time where the Premier League has had better players and teams than in the Bundesliga, I’d prioritise that personally. I think the only teams that would really be worth moving for are Real Madrid, Liverpool and United. (obviously City have Haaland.)
  16. I guess he’s previously fucked himself over with bargaining power so will see out either a transfer or new contract till the end of his current one. Haha good point, but no English player will match it anytime soon. I think the record is worth a lot more than winning the Bundesliga tbh. I do think winning the Champions League is the real reason to give it up and in fairness to Bayern they always seem to have a chance.
  17. Just feel like he ain’t giving up all time Premier League record scorer to go and play in Germany
  18. So we are interested in Nathan Collins and Joachim Andersen @The Palace Fan. Seems strange to be in for Andersen if we won’t stretch to £25m for Collins, can’t imagine he’s any cheaper. With out current centre back options being 35, 33 and 30, with us also having lost Pontus Jansson, Zanka being a bit part player and Kristoffer Ajer perennially injured our focus is that we bring in another young centre back who is ready to challenge for a spot in that back 4/5. What is also expected to happen is we are not aggressively pursuing a Toney replacement as that is already in house. We’ll likely play with 3 up front next season now we have Schade and I imagine Wissa and Mbeumo will be encouraged to step up their goal tallies respectively. If there is an issue there it’s one of depth as we then only have Keane Lewis-Potter, but I imagine we’ll sign a winger before the window ends unless we’re expecting a B team graduate to step up.
  19. Have Norwich got much young talent in their team? Because those transfers don't scream "let's have another crack at staying up in the Prem if we get up", they scream "here comes the yoyo".

    Rugby League

Yeah I use channel 9 a lot tbh, works great. If you’re after highlights the NRL youtube channel is pretty good too
  21. I remember Dortmund/Bundesliga fans saying that his final season was already a descent into this. There was a MOTD analysis of him recently where they spoke about him having a good game, creating chances left right and centre. Assumed that might have been consistent behaviour towards the end
  22. Mad how we all hyped him as the next big thing. He did look like he was starting to find his place at United though?
