  1. I’m on series 3 of Succession. I think it’s really good but at times gets a bit dry/repetitive. Don’t think I’ve ever watched a show where you know for a fact that every character in it in one way or another is a massive, massive cunt. Tom and Greg for example, both genuinely hilarious, both complete weasels. I do like how their characters are used as a tool to explain the ridiculousness of the world they inhabit though.
  2. United kit is ruined by a horrific sponsor
  3. Spurs’ jersey is so meh, nike really don’t produce good kits for them
  4. There's only one place Messi should be playing football and that's at Barcelona, let him dictate from deep with a group of players willing to do all the running around him. Obviously their finances are a mess, but it'd be good to see him winning major silverware there again.
  5. Forgot image uploading was a thing, will get some pictures up Today is our final day here, back home tomorrow. Not been to Bilbao though it was on the cards, felt there was gunna be too much travelling with Biarritz and San Sebastián so gave it a miss. Definitely will be making the trip over there at some point though! Been trying to speak (very limited) Spanish whilst here, did try Basque but not all the workers are from the region. They appreciate a Kaixo and Eskerrick Asko though. When I say I’ve tried to speak the language it’s essentially been variations of “kaixo, puede tenner dos ___ y ____ por favor”. No idea how formal or informal it is but I feel like I speak 7 languages when the waiter doesn’t have to resort to speaking English lol
  6. I have so many things to say about this place but I’ve just had the cheesecake from la vina and had it topped with a caramel tasing fortified wine and it was fucking mesmeric
  7. Currently on my first holiday abroad since pre-covid, just shy of 4 years. Fucking needed it. Spent two and a half days in Biarritz which was very calm and relaxing, lovely coastal town that I’d happily spend 10-14 nights in. Currently on day 3 of 4 in Donostia San Sebastián and honestly I don’t think I’ve ever been to a better city. Their Pintxos (Basque for tapas) is arguably the best food you will eat in Europe and I’ve not even touched the Michelin star restaurants. There is also a beer called 18/70 that every bar seems to serve (some places only serve it) and honestly it accompanies the food beautifully. It seems like a very wealthy city and tbh if like me you come from a working class background where you ate unseasoned food throughout your childhood this place will seem like a hidden gem, but to maybe the more wealthy and Euro savvy it’s a must go destination. It is a tiny city, feels similar to somewhere like Liverpool in terms of size but honestly it’s worlds apart. Being here feels like a small city on steroids, it’s not directly comparable to these cities because of its smaller size but it’s 100% in the same league as major cities I’ve been to like London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Sydney and Melbourne. It’s definitely above those for food, sun and sea, which really is all you need. I have spent the majority of my days on La Concha beach, the first night we were able to watch the sunset on it which was great. The first full day, away from the beach, me and the missus secured one of the only tables at Bat Nestor, viewed as the most iconic bar in San Sebastian. Their tortilla de patatas was genuinely incredible, we then shared a plate of heavily salted tomatoes soaked in olive oil, before a plate of charred and salted peppers, which led to one of the most famous bites in the city, the steak. Cooked to perfection, rare, again heavily salted and full of flavour. Today was a boat ride around Santa Clara island, onto it for an hour with a swim in its tiny beach before heading back to La Concha for a swim. Tomorrow we will be climbing the two mountains (sort of) either side of the harbour. Every evening has and will be filled with time spent in the old town eating Pintxos and drinking beer. There’s so much of the city to see still, we’ve barely touched the centre or any of the other areas. There are vineyards too not far away which will have to be done in future. If I could post pictures on here I would, but I can’t for some reason. But if you need a place to holiday, San Sebastian is a great choice.
  8. Addicts are rarely honest about their vices though, hence being addicts. Considering the industry makes a lot of profit from gambling the response is highly hypocritical
  9. He was betting on Newcastle when he was out on loan I believe
  10. The ban on training is a farce, he has been diagnosed with a gambling addiction and has at no point been involved in match fixing. How is keeping him away from the training ground going to help support his rehabilitation in any way?
  11. Ian Wright said it best, the slogans don’t work and they need to be hit where it hurts the most, in their wallet. No surprise this action is only being taken now the entire footballing world are watching. The effigy is truly mental, a stark visualisation of their hatred for a black man.
  12. Getting Joey Swolled as a professional athlete is mental
  13. Good squad overall, some good additions in Trent, Dunk, Eze, Maddison and Wilson. Honestly don’t get the hype behind Gallagher, I’d prefer a relegated Ward-Prowse. Can see why Tomori hasn’t been picked, Serie A fans and pundits have mentioned all season about how his form has dipped off from last season.
  14. No mate it happens because footballers are allowed to try and intimidate and abuse refs, but then it happens at clubs where managers encourage it even more, as seen with Robertson and Klopp there. Pure and simple thats why Robertson has felt he can try and bully someone like that. It is pathetic and is one of the few things about the actual 90 minutes of football I hate watching
  15. Robertson makes a b line for the ref from a distance, storms towards him and puts his face into the refs face and starts screaming. If that happens randomly on the street anyone would lift their elbow up, but because it’s a ref on a football pitch they’re expected to let footballers try and intimidate them. It’s pretty pathetic and even more pathetic that the ref is the centre of the issue when it’s clearly Robertson who was being a div
  16. 100% this. The ref threw his elbow back because his personal space was purposely being encroached and had some nutter screaming at him, it pure and simple Robertson trying to intimidate him. The ref shouldn’t have thrown the elbow but it’s easily understandable as to why given the circumstances, Robertson should be punished for approaching the ref like that just like most players should be every game. Klopp deserves a ban much the same
  17. Only 2 clubs in the league that come under that.
  18. Thomas Frank not being included in the manger of the season selection is stupid.
  19. Looks like a training shirt
  20. I 100% think we'd sell for £70m regardless with only two years left on his deal. I think Ivan is still underrated and does a lot more than just benefit from a direct style of football. If he goes to a club that can continually create chances through possession on the wings he will bang goals in for fun. Not to mention the chances he will create dropping deep, the flexibility he will give to a teams style of play and also his outrageous defensive output.
  21. Wait to see what the club make of the published reasons, but yet again the FA leaked information to Sky yesterday.
  22. Chelsea need to sell around ten players in the Summer, not sure they even have the luxury of being able to keep the players they want if the right bids come in for them.
  23. Because you get banned for months not games
  24. A lot of the ban should occur over the Summer. But someone who needs goals in the Prem. Honestly I’m happy if he stays and we sell for £50m next Summer.
