I think of Juve a decade ago. Trent is your Pirlo, Szob/Macallister your Marchisio/second striker but you are lacking a Vidal. Not necessarily a defensive midfielder as he was more box to box, but someone that can do the destroyer work and tidy up as well as get forward.
-
I'm sure I've seen your centre backs drop into a back 3 plenty this season? I know Gomez does get forward, or Tsmiskas or whoever, and it's not necessarily a traditional back three, but doesn't the left back a lot of the time drop in with the two centre backs?

Tbh if you play with a back 3 then you don't play with a #6, so not the worst thing if you're just relying on MacAllister

I think Josh Dasilva might be back for this which would be nice. I’m in two moods, I would love a great Cup run to try and help lift the club but also we have the worst injury record in the league and I’m not sure we need the fixture congestion. A win would be a great response to the hammering we took from Wolves in the league though.

Jadon Sancho - Back to Dortmund on Loan

Probably best let him get some form and confidence on loan and then start fresh in the Summer -
Jadon Sancho - Back to Dortmund on Loan

I can't imbed tweets anymore but Dortmund in for Sancho on loan apparently. He desperately needs it, kick-start his career and find that form he had there early on and the form he was able to show at the Euros too. https://x.com/David_Ornstein/status/1742238756793434521?s=20 -
You’re both right to an extent. The keepers elbow does make contact with Jota’s ankle, but the problem is if its enough contact then he goes down as the keeper touches, but the keepers elbow lifts away from Jota almost as quickly as it made contact, making it minimal. If there was enough contacy he would lose balance stood on his right foot. But he makes another step with the foot that initially makes the contact and then quite literally leaps to the ground. Stonewall yellow card for Jota tbh.

What clubs do you lot like choosing for career mode? I always like a club you can build a bit of a story around. Athletic Bilbao being an obvious one, but they are tougher than they seem as the squad looks good but then you realise it's technically gifted players with the physicality of pensioner in the freezer section at Iceland. I've got a save with Udinese at the moment which I like, I developed a liking for Udinese about ten years or so ago when they played Arsenal a few times in the Champions League (or qualifiers), back when they had Di Natale. One of the only clubs to pull off a race track stadium. They've recently renovated and I think the stadium looks class, jumped at the chance to start a save with them when I realised the stadium was on Fifa. Last season I had a save with Everton that I'll probably revive, former giant club in the shit and all that. A good challenge to try and beat Liverpool too. Crystal Palace are a good shout too, a club that has dreams of being the Arsenal of South London but ultimately are shit enough to make it a challenge. I've gone through a phase of liking Croatian footballers over the past year or two and so I think I'd like to try and start a Dinamo Zagreb save and see if I can get them to win a European competition but with mostly academy players. In recent years they've produced Modric, Badelj, Corluka, Gvardiol, Halilovic, Kovacic, Kramaric, Kranjcar, Lovren, and Vrsaljko. Surely has to be up there as a top ten European football academy?

David Ornstein saying we have valued him at £100m for January, Miguel Delaney saying we will do a deal at a minimum of £80m. The reality of the situation here is that Arsenal do need a striker if they are to win the league, Ivan Toney can score 20+goals in a season whilst also bringing other players into the fold and even though we only have him left on a years deal, right now, we seem to have the upper hand in negotiations. I don't think we'll sell him now though, I'm not sure Arsenal have the finances to put a deal through, if we sell him it depends on how desperate Chelsea are to buy him as that might trigger Arsenal into action. United too but let's be honest they don't have the wiggle room with FFP the same as Arsenal. If we sell in the Summer I think it'll be somewhere between £60m-£80m and really we do not need £60m right now, not when we can keep him and try to push for Europe.

Our injury list right now.... 7 of those players below are guaranteed starters in our eleven, the other 5 would make regular appearances either from the bench or would rotate in the starting line-up....January will not be a pretty month for us. Mbeumo - 3 months Toney - 3 weeks Schade - 1 month minimum, probably longer Wissa - 1 month, AFCON Ghoddos - 1 month, Asian Cup Onyeka - 1 month, AFCON Jensen - Could just be the next game, could be longer... Dasilva - Who knows, been out for ages... Henry - Whole season Hickey - 1 month minimum, probably longer Ajer - Who knows, comes back and then gets injured again Mee - 1 game suspension -

Has felt like that this season. Remember the United game, everyone was wanking them off after that result but the reality was that the game was a 0-0 all over in terms of performance. You could tell early on that Arteta felt hurt from last season through the goals they conceded against Bournemouth etc, seems like hes over corrected and not freshened the attack up as much. -

We’ve struggled so badly with Wolves’ runs in behind our defence. They just speed play up and then fire one in behind and we don’t know who to mark. We’ve given away two absolute sitters, our worst performance of the season easily
