I know you are old @Bluewolf like me but I never had these at my school, you must be really, really old to have a Quill pen!! 

Don't tell lies John... trying to pretend you are younger than me is laughable

Serious though you could not beat the old school days with desk, a pen with a nib and inkwell in the desk and a blotter, put to much ink on the nib and it would fuck your writing up, nowadays they make it so easy for the younger generation with, calculators, tablets, disposable pens that when the ink went you just toss it and get a new one.
