  1. I think the best England manager most of us have seen. Sad to hear about his death.
  2. Young stepped on Martial's foot, inadvertently perhaps , but its a penalty.
  3. I didn't say I didn't like Trudeau's stance on whats going on in the Middle East, just that it upsets the Arab world..
  4. The early sunsets in Canada are a downer at first, but I think you get used to them as the winter goes along. It's daylight savings time that makes them worse, less than 3 weeks ago we turned the clocks back so it gets dark by 5. In this day and age, surely we don't need to change the clocks twice a year anymore. What I don't like about Canada, is its size. It covers too much of an area to work efficiently as one country ruled by a strong central government. We are a country of regions, with not a lot in common. Ontario and Quebec determine what happens in this country and the West, the East and the North are undervalued and under represented and it causes a lot of alienation. I believe that people at a local level should determine how they are governed and in a country the size of Canada that doesn't happen.
  5. The US economy under Trump was the best in my life time, they were self efficient in engery, the stock market was booming and prices were likely half of what they are under Biden. I live on the US border and have friends and family in the US. We used to go across on a regular basis, whenever we ran out of milk and gas or just wanted a inexpensive meal. Now we hardly go across at all, US prices aren't much better than ours and when you factor in the exchange a lot of things are more expensive. I don't know how the average American is dealing with the damage the Biden administration has done to the US economy and if people do vote with their pocket books, Biden won't be reelected. Trump's the only thing that's keeping it close, if the Republicans nominated somebody else that wasn't as unpredictable they might get Melei numbers. Trudeau in my opinion is the worse PM since his old man, but at least Pierre had brains, the boy Trudeau inherited his brains from his mother. Canada is a very progressive country, and as somebody who doesn't have a progressive bone in his body it's frustrating. The Liberals benefit from the political system here, the 3 parties to the left of them prop them up, meaning the Conservatives have to get a clear majority of the seats to form a government. That very rarely happens so the Liberals don't have to put in a lot of effort to government properly. They just assume its their right to govern. Trudeau though has pissed most people off, he doesn't seem to think before he speaks or acts, he seems to be uniting a country made up of different regions against him. What is worse though is that other countries seem to be pissed off at us now, Trudeau has accused the Indian Government of assassinating a Sikh nationalist in Canada , arrested a CEO of a Chinese company and upset the Arab world with his stance on the fighting in the Middle East. So much for developing trade relationships with Asia and the Middle East. There is a Chinese curse which says “May you live in interesting times.” Like it or not, we live in interesting times, but they are also the most creative of any time in history . A lot of change is coming, not only in South America, but in North America as well over the next few years.
  6. Man City 2-2 Liverpool, 12.30 Burnley 1-2West Ham Luton 1-2 Crystal Palace Newcastle 1-1 Chelsea Nottm Forest 1-2 Brighton Sheff Utd 1-2 Bournemouth Brentford 2-2 Arsenal, 17.30 Tottenham 2-1 Aston Villa, 14.00 Everton 1-1 Man Utd, 16.30 Fulham 1-2 Wolves, 20.00
  7. It is symbolic. He's going to take a chainsaw to the Bureaucracy.
  8. I think a lot that has been said by Milei and about him is just campaign rhetoric and he has already walked back some of his more crazy suggestions, included what he has said about Healthcare. The Argentinian economy under the Peronists is a disaster and when somebody throws you a lifeline you just grab it, you don't ask who is handing it to you. The people voted to oust the present government, they wanted things to change, it was a simple choice between more of the same under Massa or try something new with Milei. If it doesn't work they can vote him out next election, doesnt sound like he can screw things up any more than if they reelected Massa.
  9. Interesting results. Argentina needs a change after 17 years of Peronist socialism running the economy into the ground with inflation around 150%
  10. I think you need to clearly see space between the attacker and the last defender for it to be offside. Then there is no subjection, its clear where the player is ahead or not. It should be obvious to the naked eye in real time, they shouldn't be slowing the tape down and watching countess angles to decide its a millimetre off. It goes against the spirit of the game.
  11. Not sure where to put this or how to put it, but I try. So in the NFL teams have to publish Injury Report Designations a few days before every game. Probable – If a player is probable, he is almost definitely playing. ... Questionable – they don't know for sure ... Doubtful – A player listed as doubtful is almost definitely not playing. ... Out – This is as simple as it gets he's out. If they lie or don't include a player who is injured they are in trouble Situation in the NFLthis week regarding Joe Burrows the quarterback for Cincinnati. He's not on the injury list and arrives at the game with his throwing hand bandaged and in a brace. Burrows started the game but left before half time after landing on his hand. Now Cincinnati is being investigated by the League for not coming clean about his injury and there is also a class action lawsuit by bettors who put money on Cincinnati mainly because of Burrows. So to finally get to my point or question regarding football or soccer, why aren't soccer teams made to inform the fans about any injuries prior to the game. It's the only way to create a level playing field for bettors, because if you have inside information that a teams top player or players won't play the next game it gives you a huge advantage when laying a bet.
  12. It's definitely the spiraling of player values that's the major problem. This is where City advantage comes into play, they can afford to make mistakes in the players they buy. If they need to fill a need in one area of the pitch, they can keep buying players til they get the right one. Other clubs have to get it right the first time or they end up stuck with expensive players that aren't any better than the ones they have replaced.
  13. For me It really has little to do with the charges, I don't think that nation states should be allowed to own football clubs. Other clubs can't compete with them financially. It's why I was hoping the Qataris would buy United, if you can't beat them join them philosophy.
  14. The teams they investigate seems selective. Chelsea definitely since Abramovich, but I would like to see the Glazers investigated for using United as their own personal AMT.
  15. Hopefully the 10 point deduction for Everton is an indication that City will be treated correctly. I hope they get the same treatment as Rangers and are demoted to League Two. Personally if it was up to me they would be out of football
  16. Yeah Governmens don't always tell the truth and the photos of the weapons of mass destruction is a perfect example. But you have to go with the percentages and the history, Hamas has no history of telling the truth, Israel does. Nobody is saying the israeli Government always tells the truth, they will tell lies as well, but I trust their record of telling the truth more than I do Hamas
  17. Because they normal provide footage,, pictures, video and taped conversations that back up what they say.
  18. Yes I am. DWB has long been accused of having an anti Israeli bias. They consistently abuse their status as a humanitarian organization to launch venomous anti-Israel political campaigns.
  19. No independent verification of this claim. No reports from any western media. Remarkable similar to a claim 6 years ago about an Israeli sniper shooting a double amputee vaiving a Palastinian flag, a claim that has never been proven. You can't believe anything Hamas says and the continued posting of Hamas propaganda on this forum is disgusting.
  20. Israel has offered to evacute all the patients in the hospital, Hamas has refused to allow it. The reason there is no oxygen or electricity in the hospital is because Hamas have stolen all the fuel needed to run the generators. IDF arranged with senior officials at the hospital to deliver 300 litres of fuel to a collection point near the hospital, which the Israelis delivered. Hamas refused to allow hospital staff to pick it up. If these 39 babies die, and I understand 2 or 3 already have, their deaths are on Hamas 's heads, not Israel 's.
