  1. Fair play. Appreciate you contributing to the forum.
  2. This would place you around 75-80 to years old?
  3. Totally agree with Sir Les. It's turned into something else now, a stick to beat people with.
  4. The overwhelming sense I get as a neutral is that Lampard does not know what to do with all the players that have been brought in. The system he's operating makes no sense whatsoever. I disagree with Jorginho being a passenger, he's one of the best passers and calm in possession, the problem as I see it is that playing him at the base of the midfield with Kante pushed to the right fundamentally does not work. Play Kante centrally and use Jorginho as a floating 2nd pivot. Until Pulisic is back it may even be wiser to play a more narrow system rather than playing attacking midfielders on the flanks where the game bypasses them.
  5. https://talksport.com/football/760345/man-united-no-money-sancho-bale-transfer/ A quite extraordinary interview Tim Sherwood gave TalkSport this morning. I don't believe for a second Tim Sherwood know's the inner workings of Man Utd but I'm curious as to who he spoken or listened to, to publicly state something that will very well look very silly if United spend big.

    This did not age well
  7. I've added the permissions for pinning and featuring to your profile.
  8. You should have those permissions, I'll see what's happened.
  9. I think he's flattered to deceive on early promise. That he insisted on a clause at both Huddersfield and Brighton specifically to allow him to leave if a Chinese club came in feels like he'd either been hoping for a huge fuck off payday or just wanted to be closer to home. Or both. Then again he is 29. Last fat contract of his career.
  10. I think he'll thrive under Lampard if Frank can tighten his team up. They're far too open, it's a recipe for diminishing confidence.
  11. That's not really a counter to my point, in fact your comment is a strawman in itself. You don't agree, that's fine. We'll see what happens on the pitch.
  12. As much as I would love to go back and forth over this, Havertz has proven himself over a long period of consistency and is far more effective and dare I say pragmatic player than Grealish. Comparing price like for like is false economy. If I sell you a VW worth 25k for 50k and you pay it, it doesn't mean that car is comparable to a Porsche you could buy for the same price. Dortmund sold Dembele for over 100m euros and it unlikely he'll ever fulfil his potential to justify that money. It's a non-sequitur.
  13. I disagree. Havertz IF he settles is a real coup. He's young and absolute class.
  14. I'll get the broken sunglasses, you grab the three beers and tuna salad that make it socially acceptable to drink them with lunch

    Wrestling

Watching SummerSlam. So far it's been God awful. I won't spoil it if anyone is watching it on delay but what has happened to Seth Rollins to be having turgid matches with rookies?! Snore.
  16. Writing was on the wall after Paul Aldridge was brought in. I'm not really sure how I feel about it at this time. It really depends on the recruitment policy moving forward, plus at times despite doing well, I was never entirely convinced by AVB.
  17. Explains all the children he has
  18. I thought the over 70s were supposed to be shielding the younger people from COVID-19? I told Joe to out and mingle
  19. Yeah you're right. Joe is a quite the fast mover too, even in his advanced years
