  1. The talent was more spread across Europe at that point in time. It was miles harder for an English club to win it at the point.
  2. Old Trafford will never ever be empty. One thing about United, league Cup or League game. Always full. We're not City, they can't even fill their stadium for Champions league games with a team so dominant. Our support is huge, I've just been to Egypt and whenever I say Manchester they all love United.
  3. I wasn't suggesting we'd be relegated. I just think the owners are happy running as a commercial business and don't have the ambition of other owners so we may never get back within the title contenders.
  4. United fans aren't that stupid mate, we know the score ourselves and the expectations have slipped massively over the last few years. I think we'd have been happy with the League Cup this season myself but he showed that trophy a total disrespect. Reality is he should have taken the City approach and looked at it as a good stepping board to further success. That's what Sir Alex did with the cups. One thing I've always said is I can accept a transition and a wait given how much success I've seen as a supporter. What I didn't expect was once Sir Alex was gone the League would become so damn competitive, there have been four different champions since we won and now Newcastle will be in and about us sooner rather than later. We could be gone for good at this rate.
  5. Said with spite that. To be honest the one thing I don't like or understand about the whole situation is the general dislike people have for Ole, I always felt even though he was a United player people held a bit of respect for him due to the whole super sub Mr nice guy image. Must be hard being a manager that's such an easy target, the stuff getting shared about on social media about him would be enough to send you into a depression. Sad thing is the players must see it themselves.
  6. Manager swap? Another question, for anyone actually this one. Do you think Ole will get another shot at a Premier League club after United?
  7. No I don't think so myself. What's your feelings on this, would you be disappointed if he were to leave for us? I'm split on it myself, he has done really well with Leicester and Swansea and people tend to forget if Gerrard didn't slip he'd have guided Liverpool to the title as well. The fact he's managed Liverpool aside I think he runs a very well organised team and he's had a fair amount of experience.
  8. To be honest I always go bed and breakfast or self catering but Egypt is pretty hard to find a resort that isn't all inclusive. I've been before and it was about the snorkeling for me. The food and drink were a second thought as I was desperate for my youngest daughter to see the coral and the sea life. Thankfully she managed that with me so it's still an experience shared. As for reviews, I doubt you'd find a single resort without food poisoning reviews, the place is riddled and I've now learned my lesson. I thought I was untouchable and as my mate said before I went, it's Russian roulette. I unfortunately took the bullet this time. Never again now though.
  9. No, mine was a five star but not that resort. Ours was the Jaz Aquamarina. To be honest they all claim to be five star in Egypt and they all look outstanding but you get inside and you see its all a big fake mask. Once you are sick you tend to look at stuff with a more open eye and the place cuts far too many corners.
  10. I wonder if it was my hotel....... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10153583/amp/Egypt-arrests-three-workers-Red-Sea-hotel-50-tourists-hospitalised-food-poisoning.html Would explain why I felt like I was dying whilst I was there.
  11. That could have ended badly. I'd say teaching teenagers must be one of the most frustrating jobs on the planet. For every keen enthusiastic student there is an immature cocky little trouble maker looking to destroy your class. Remember the substitute teachers, they'd get it worse than anyone. It was like they were being paid to come babysit and the whole class would go wild. Even the grade A students would lose focus and make their lives hell.
  12. I started school only a few years after corporal punishment was abolished and I can clearly remember certain teachers struggling to control a class with the same authority they'd previously have. Fairly often a board rubber would fly across the room hitting the back wall as that's all they could get away with.
  13. The money wasted hiring Nuno and paying him off. Bringing Conte in now would be mental, why didn't they just agree terms in the summer. Talk about throwing money away.
  14. Should imagine a defeat at Spurs could realistically be an end to him myself. Not that I don't think it's over anyway, he's basically playing caretaker until this run of horror fixtures is over. I hope he goes without any badness in the stadium as well because the fans have to remember Ole gave us arguably the clubs most famous moment.
  15. I'd say so. Easily the worst I've ever had. Sad thing was the hotel manager was informed my wife had spoke to guest relations about it and requested to meet me personally. Only tried to strong arm me into signing a form that stated I was satisfied with the facilities and that it couldn't have been from the hotels food. I refused obviously and he showed how uncaring he was for the situation. He need not worry though because unless I accepted treatment from the medic I stand zero chance of getting any sort of compensation.
  16. The one bonus of it, usually when I return from a holiday I'm looking to lose the few pounds I've gained from excessive eating and drinking...... Instead I'm down about half a stone.
  17. Well that was an interesting break, did some amazing snorkeling at Paradise beach and a coral island in the middle of the ocean. Then 3 days into the holiday I felt like I'd been kicked in the stomach by a horse but being a father who didn't want to spoil his kids holiday I soldiered on through even though I was near collapse from dehydration and diarrhea. Only ended having to go into one of their private clinics after three days of hell. The doctor walked in looking like he'd just ended his shift as a night porter and possibly only left school a few weeks earlier. Not to mention the room looked about as hygienic as construction site cabin. So I quietly refused the drip they suggested was the best medical solution through fear of catching something far worse. I'm now home still sick and waiting for my appointment with my GP tomorrow who is that concerned about me he suggested if I get any more pains this evening I go straight to A&E. So all in all it was a bit of a disaster and it has put me off travelling to Egypt ever again.
  18. had the right hump this morning.
  19. What an unusual question to ask people Yes in answer to the question. Funny story as well, met a girl from Ellesmere port in Blackpool. Two weeks later she came down for a night out in Manchester, she was basically all over me all night so it was inevitable we wouldn't make it back to mine before anything happened. We stumbled into what looked like an old work yard and got down to business only to interrupted by a loud cheer. Looking round I was in total shock to see a double decker bus full of young lads and women banging on the windows cheering. Because I was drunk I didn't even check my surroundings and the wall was only about 7ft tall and the night buses ran directly down the road.

    Boxing

Fury dominated the fight, Wilder shown heart and landed some very telling shots but Fury was all over him. That's my opinion, I respect others views.

What an absolute warrior Tyson Fury is, I remember being at one of his early fights at a leisure centre in Huddersfield. Never did I think he'd go on to become the fighter he is today. He's taken the best that Wilder has been able to give over the trilogy and he still came out on top in all three fights. The result in the first may say draw but everyone knows Fury had that fight won. Totally dominated last night, yes he went down twice but that further showed how powerful and strong he is to come back and dominate Wilder.
  22. I'm not a Bond fan if I'm honest but reading that review just highlights a problem with a lot of new big budget movies. They are just far too long, it puts me off watching movies at the cinema when I know its nearly 3 hours long.
  23. Tui have cancelled all flights up until the 18th October to Egypt, I fly out on the 19th October. So I'm currently half expecting it to cancel but also thinking it will happen as it falls within the School holidays so flights will be busier.

That's amazing, people offer money, some people give food but this man is helping them feel human again by using his skilled career. He might only do this one day a month but the change and lift this could give someone could potentially increase their confidence ten fold.
