  1. Not very nice to call Leicester a pack of cunts like that
  2. I hope anyone that wants Klopp gone steps on Legos every day for the rest of their lives. And that they piss themselves regularly.
  3. I'm with you on EA... but I've still played some good EA games in recent years. But quite frankly those games are sort of more the exception than the rule.
  4. Tbf I can only see EA ruining the F1 games now (and other good games Codemasters made) - those games were pretty polished little games, I really loved the career modes on them. I just don't see how piecing the game out for microtransactions will go well. I was going to say, I hope they retain a bit of their soul like Respawn managed to do under EA. But given how the reboot of Medal of Honour went... and it was Respawn's first stinker (although sometimes I think games that get poor-average reviews aren't as bad, and I've never played it); but they managed to make good games that were fairly pro-consumer and anti-DLC/microtransactions... but kept EA happy by making Apex which makes shitloads on microtransactions (and was a fun game while I played it and I never spent a time - I burned out on battle royales so I'll probably never play it again, but it was my favourite out of those types of games). I hope that's not the case and Respawn's next big game is a big success... but looking at the critical reception of that game compared to the ones I had played is a pretty stark contrast. It's just a shame what EA does to studios... because when EA gets a game right, they usually get it very right. And in an ideal world, Codemasters getting to work with EA's beautiful Frostbite engine should be a LOVELY thing for gamers - but they've just got such a fucked up track record with the studios they buy. Even shit that does well under EA at first suddenly starts to sink, it seems.
  5. Tbf haven’t Codemasters been making a racing game each year with the F1 games?
  6. Netanyahu storming out of his corruption trial is wild.
  7. I'm not sure if Trump & the racist nationalist views from Brexit are necessarily the cause of the increase of more racism and bigotry on the internet, or if they're just another symptom of the problem of social media sort of normalising bigotry and racism and instead of framing it as something wrong, framing it as a "political opinion" - although I do think they are very dangerous because people develop a large crowd of people that share horrificly backward views about groups of other people. It's not hard to see why idiotic arseholes are more racist on social media than they are outwardly racist in real life - they're behind a screen, nowhere near the target of the abuse, with infinite more anonymity if they want it. I've seen racism in real life with my own two eyes... but I see it all the fucking time on the internet. So it's undoubtedly more common online. And social media has just been an effective tool at radicalising a lot of people to views that I wouldn't think would be common. And race and racism is an easy way to get people to be radicalised. And a lot of hate groups that spread racism have used the same tactics people like Islamic extremists have used to radicalise and recruit terrorists. For a while, I've thought there needs to be more done to regulate social media. I don't necessarily trust these companies to self-regulate, at the end of the day they're companies and companies are more concerned about making money for shareholders than doing what is right or what is ethical. It's hard to propose what the fuck should actually be done about social media though... because I think there's a decent amount of free speech concerns and concerns about shit like "being the thought police" and regulating actual legitimate political opinions under the guise of "preventing bigotry and racism." For instance, with politicians and world leaders... I think Merkel is right - it is a little bit concerning. It's a private company silencing a politician. On the other hand, Trump incited violence on twitter and Khamenei made death threats on twitter - they deserved to get banned. I think the companies need to be held a bit more accountable for when clear breaches of their Terms of Service haven't been quickly and effectively policed and it leads to shit like racial abuse or anything else illegal.
  8. I will never understand why this pillow salesman has become a loud voice for the American ProFa movement...
  9. I think Rodgers should treat the league game before this like the last time the idiot faced Real Madrid
  10. The away leg being played at Spurs sounds good to me. Also probably sounds good to Levy and Spurs because they’d probably get paid.
  11. Matip is a brilliant defender and anyone that says otherwise needs their eyes checked. He's quietly consistently excellent, you rarely ever get a shit performance out of him. The only issue with Matip really is how unbelievably injury prone he is. But even then, it's not like he'd do the Lovren thing and need to be played back into form and put in a few horror shows after coming back from injury - he comes back after a lengthy layoff and just slots back in to being an excellent defender. If he didn't get injured constantly, I think he'd be considered one of the best defenders in Europe.
  12. I think Fabinho's still first choice CB this season (unless Virgil comes back by some sort of miracle). One of our new CBs hasn't ever played in the top flight, although Preston fans all seem to think he's boss and the attributes they praise are sort of... exactly what Klopp looks for in a defender so that's promising. And the Turkish lad's got a bit of potentially, from what I hear... but is very raw. And our manager isn't really the sort of guy that likes to give new signings too many chances until they've practiced with the side a lot - although this season he's had his hand forced with the injury situation. But I think he'll want to "protect" whichever of the new CBs he'll feel need "protecting" in any given week and as such, we're likely to see Fabinho still play at CB when he's back from injury... at least unless these 2 lads don't hit the ground running (I hope they hit the ground running). As you say, though... I suspect Matip's on his way out, though. I think unless Kabak is totally crap, we're probably signing him considering our interest in him earlier in the summer. And that'd be 5 senior CBs between VVD, Gomez, Matip, Davies, Kabak. Gomez and Matip basically both guarantee at least 1 lengthy layoff a season - so we probably can't keep both of them around. I imagine Gomez has more value to us (through age and pace) than Matip at this point. If these 2 lads stay healthy and hit the ground running, and we get a functional defense + our first choice midfield back, I think we've got a decent chance of actually putting up a fight against City in the title race. So that's nice to not feel like 3 injuries haven't basically ruined everything nice I'd been hoping for.
  13. Haven’t a lot of the shitty things Aung San Suu Kyi done been in the name of appeasing the military? Military coups are rarely good though and Asia generally has struggled with democracy (although for the past few years my faith in democracy has been shaken - lol, but having a say in governance is generally better than not). Personally, I think she’s a horrible cunt because I think what they are doing to Rohingya’s is genocide. And she denies it’s genocide because they sometimes fight back, which imo doesn’t not make it a genocide. And I think a lot of people are okay with this type of genocide because it’s Muslims. But the military is the most obvious aggressor against the Rohingyas - so things are likely to be worse after a coup.
  14. He likely had a pre-contract agreement with Celtic - his contract is up in 6 months. Preston can still sell him before his contract is up, he'd just need to agree terms with the club that negotiates a fee with Preston. I'm assuming he'd want to be given the chance to play regularly with the champions for at about 6 months. He either does well and next season gets to fight with Gomez for a spot next to Virgil, or ends up playing a lot as our 3rd choice CB tends to year-in-year-out, or he doesn't... and he's likely still improved his stature as a player by getting 6 months playing top flight football. It's sort of win-win for everyone, except Preston lol (if they think he's worth more, at least). But it's better for them than him leaving on a free. So it's sort of win-win for everyone.

    Cooking

So I never posted it because I never found the exact recipe that I was thinking about! Didn’t wanna give you some shite recipe. But this one is pretty much the exact same recipe it’s just the person who typed it up is a bit too chatty for my liking - but the instructions are pretty much the same https://www.isabeleats.com/mexican-pico-de-gallo-recipe/
  16. I wouldn’t still be pissed off about Brexit if not for the fact they had years to get Brexit sorted after a referendum, but instead they’ve played musical chairs with PMs, then fucked around not getting anything sorted. Then a pandemic took the government’s focus away from our divorce from our number one trading partner. The fact more people who voted leave aren’t fucking livid they were lied to and so much of Britain’s industry looks like it’ll probably forever changed and many jobs will be lost. Instead we get a “meh it doesn’t affect me, it doesn’t affect you, who cares?” - yeah maybe that’s how it seems right now. But quick and sudden economic changes will ripple through the economy and it’ll impact loads of people in the UK (and abroad). It’s all fun and games until you realise there’s lots of real people at the end of the shit you hear about on the news. Shitloads of people losing their jobs in one city, or in one industry, or in both, tends to send shitty ripples through communities and the surrounding area. If there was no benefit to Brexit, what was the point? And if there was no point to Brexit, why can’t we hold the architects of it accountable in even the most minimal sense by criticising them using their own words against them. How many times did Farage go on TV and make his point of the fishing industry? That is, very obviously, why the plight of the British fishing industry is being brought up now. It’s not suddenly brought up at random because it’s failing now - it’s brought up as a failed promise!
  17. Basically: how dare you bring up how wrong we all were. Don’t ever speak of things that could be politically damaging to what I believe.
  18. Idk if it’s because I was woken up by a series of WhatsApp messages at 4 am... but I got up and started to think about all the fun things I’d do this Saturday. Just one problem... ... I woke up too early for my brain to be fully engaged to realise there’s still a fucking plague going on! Reality came and slapped me in the fucking face, I did not enjoy that.
  19. Macron acting like a Brexiteer and making some demands of the UK
  20. Nope, I can’t remember him from any of the recent young cameos at least, and I can’t remember hearing about him in preseason which is usually where you hear about the hyped kids if they aren’t getting chances.
