  1. It doesn’t excuse it, but it’s more understandable that someone’s more of a twat when they’re drunk. As opposed to someone who is a twat all the time
  2. Well I feel like a lot of Chelsea fans took the “we are competing with each other rivalry” and tried to make it something more - which may have had something to do with London ex-United fans hopping aboard a new team. But there was a lot of bile coming from the London side of that competitive rivalry - some prominent lawyer that’s a Chelsea fan even joined in on it. And then got himself fired. You wouldn’t so much see it on our little forum, but pretty much anywhere else. The general consensus from the LFC side of things was “lol plastic club, plastic rivalry” I wouldn’t so much equate what Lampard and Gerrard did while drunk as the same as Terry fucking Bridge’s wife or his alleged racial abuse of Rio Ferdinand. Nor would I equate his constant moaning at referees, going full kit wanker to lift trophies he didn’t win (even with Villa’s promotion lol), or having that stupid cunty face as the same as Gerrard and Lampard being twats when they were drunk.
  3. Nah I've got nothing against Chelsea other than the few idiot fans they've got who are: 1.) racists and/or 2.) idiots that try to make it out like they're big rivals of us somehow - although I think part of it was fueled by the media with Rafa v Mourinho, Gerrard v Lampard, etc... Well and John Terry, I absolutely hate John Terry. But he doesn't play for them anymore so who gives a fuck about him. Them being likeable is a welcome return, imo.
  4. Back before you were rich and had Mourinho, Chelsea were one of the more likeable clubs for neutrals imo. I hope Lampard stays for a while and keeps his style of play with all of these young players making names for themselves as well. Then for the first time in a very long time, I will actually be finding Chelsea likeable once again and it'll be like my childhood has returned a bit.
  5. I was surprised as fuck about Robertson coming in and immediately from his debut (even though he wasn't a regular after his debut weirdly) he was impressive. In fact, I think on his actual debut he as MOTM. With Trent I was a bit surprised his debut was against Manchester United... but then he came in and did his job looking like a player much older than he was and made the position his own in a big way. But after his debut, I wasn't so much surprised - his first match was in one of the biggest league fixtures for LFC and he looked well beyond his years that day. But yeah for me watching Mount and seeing him just look fucking phenomenal, it really does seem out of nowhere. But yeah, I don't know a fucking thing about Chelsea's youth program other than it's good but kids seldom get a chance at Chelsea because normally pressure is too high to allow for that. It's early days and all, but he looks great and fits into that Chelsea midfield naturally. A bit shite for Ross Barkley, but that's his own fault for never being consistent and still looking like that raw talent he was when he first came through with Everton. Excellent news for Lampard and Chelsea. Unrelated note, but I hope with Lampard this means the beginning of Chelsea acting like a normal football club once again. He's still learning as a manager and I think Chelsea is the best place for him to learn how to be a top manager... the issue is will he be given time? He'll probably be given at least 2 seasons, but I hope after this transfer ban is over he's allowed to shape the squad long term and it lasts well beyond 2 seasons. I always liked Lampard, despite the whole bullshit between Gerrard v. Lampard in the media, even though he played for Chelsea. And out of the 2 lads who I think were the face of Chelsea for such a long time... probably their biggest legends ever... Lampard is obviously the one that appeals more to neutrals than Terry. So it'd be nice to see him really forge a name for himself as a manager at Chelsea. Makes for a good story.
  6. Trent was one of the more promising kids in our youth team and I think Gerrard cited him as a player to watch in an autobiography (that I never read, I just saw the quote somewhere). Robertson was more surprising to me, because nobody other than @Inverted really seemed to predict how good he could be for us (granted I wouldn't really say Robertson joined us as a kid, and he's definitely not an academy product of ours). Granted, if you don't follow youth football (I don't really) or don't see write ups on which of our young players is looking quality (which I do for our players, but for literally no other club)… it's going to seem out of nowhere. Like with Mount, I'd known fuck all about him - although I'm sure people following his development are less surprised at him immediately coming into the side and looking a natural.
  7. Wow that quote from Boris Johnson... irony is dead.
  8. It's shocking this has support from anyone tbh

Holy shit how old is it? I've never had a Boss pedal die. I've heard the EXH Silencer is arguably better than the NS-2 (which is the noise suppressor I've always used)… and it's a bit cheaper. And it's a noise suppressor rather than a noise gate, which I prefer.
  10. I've only played a bit since completing the quest line for their big update - but they did add another new update with new quests. I just haven't played much of it lately. That game's always a good time if you've got a good group of friends on, but otherwise... it can be a bit dull. And you've also got to set aside 2-3 hours to play, which can be impossible sometimes. Most of what I've been playing lately is Rocket League, which is like my bread and butter
  11. It looks like the Witcher with pirates. I'm interested.
  12. This song always reminded me of my grandad (and my dad - cos they were both bakers, well my dad still is lol). RIP Grandad
  13. Social media's emboldened racists
  14. Rashford was given some abuse too for making comments defending Pogba. It’s got to be so disheartening for black players in England to see racism in football still so prevalent. But rather than monkey chants they deal with it once they’re off the pitch and on their Twitter or insta

My Grandad just died. He was one of the greatest people I ever knew. I just want to go home right now
  16. He also cites a poster/post that's not on here

Do stores let you bring in your own pedal boards? I've never actually tried doing that... but I think what surprised me most about it was how well it can take pedals. Most solid state combo amps are totally shit at taking pedals over the effects built into it.
  18. I think what happened with City has more to do with a stupid rule than VAR. My biggest issue with VAR is how they keep the flag down even if someone is obviously well offside. It’s unnecessary as fuck.

I’m really impressed with the Katana 50 - I see why the entire Katana series comes so highly recommended. I basically spent all day fucking around with it. Playing at bedroom volumes, then going to my mate’s for jamming (it keeps up with a drummer in 50 watt mode with the stock speaker, seriously impressed with that) - tested out the software for hours too (which is cool, it’s like a stripped down version of the Boss GT-1000 software; but still plenty complex). I will say the stock presets are absolutely a steaming pile of shit and once I figured out the software I made my own 4 presets of common tones I like to use and quickly replaced them. That’s not a complaint though, it’s really rare on anything like this that I like the stock presets. They’re always shit in every product tbh It’s hard not to recommend the Katana to anyone looking for an amp tbh. Is it the best sounding amp? Nah, it’s not a valve amp and solid state hasn’t caught up yet (I think it will soon though). But does it sound great? Oh yeah, it most definitely sounds great. And because it’s made by Boss, pedal making legends, it takes pedals so fucking great. Which imo most solid state amps I’ve tries are a bit finicky with some pedals - so that’s nice to see. For the price it’s a seriously impressive unit. Like unbelievably impressive tbh, I wish these existed when I was a kid. And cheap combo amp usually sound bad because of shit circuitry or shit speakers, with the Katana you’re definitely not getting that. I’ve only got one complaint: there is no effects loop on the Katana 50 - if you’re getting the 100 that’s not an issue. But yeah, I see why these are so highly recommended. It really is a jack of all trades option for guitar players - a wide array of tones in an amp that can be used in a variety of ways. I’m seriously impressed with it, if you want an amp that can be used in a shitload of practical applications I think it’s the best option for the money. Because it’s seriously cheap for all it can do and how good it sounds (again, tonally it’s very similar to the GT-1000, but with less effects, amp models, and the software’s a bit limited... but it’s about a grand less dear). The only way I wouldn’t recommend it is if someone wants a super particular tone - like if I wanted a Marshall Plexi tone, I can get close with the Boss tone studio with lots of tweaking... but a Plexi or a Plexi clone will (obviously) be a better amp choice. Tl;dr - I’m seriously impressed with it, it’s not the best sounding amp I’ve ever used/owned... but it sounds great and is so versatile in so many ways. Even though it’s not perfect, I’d have to give it a 10/10 considering my fiancé paid just over $200USD for an amp that can do so much

Well it’s weird, in the manual it recommends having the master volume flat out and limiting the volume with the ordinary volume knob... so basically the opposite of how those knobs operate on every other amp. But when I first gave it a go it was still loud as fuck

it’s uh bigger than I thought it’d be. I haven’t really done much with it, like plug it into the computer and used the tone studio or anything. But I plugged it in and gave it a whirl at the lowest wattage setting (but with the master volume flat out ). Sounds pretty fucking good tbh - really versatile. For a modeling amp it doesn’t really try to actually model other amps, imo, it’s different amp channels/voicing (I’m gonna call them channels and what Boss calls the amp’s channels are more like presets) all cover a wide array of tones. I got tones I liked from each channel. I’m not sure which I like best right now.

I was just gifted a Boss Katana 50 because my fiancé has told me I'm not to play the 6505+ at home anymore I suppose my "hey this sounds alright and the volume isn't too loud" solution to the 6505+ was still too loud for normal people I won't be able to fuck around with it until I'm back home... but I'll definitely be putting it through it's paces in trying to get some good heavy tones out of it.
  23. I think players should start suing twitter. If twitter isn't going to police itself without motivation, maybe hitting them in their pockets will give them the motivation to do that. The problem there is that unless that person's identified themselves on twitter, they're basically anonymous. But the counterpoint to what I said is that Everton fan got arrested, so clearly it did help. But yeah, I think that's a good thing for twitter users who see this kind of racist stuff to do. But the thing is, how do I know which police to report it to when it's twitter and they've gone fully anonymous? I wouldn't know who they are or where they are from, would I? Or do tweets have that geolocation shite on them?
