Had a busy running schedule lined up this year, but said my 50k in early January ended with me suffering from 'runners knee', which just means I had to rest for a few weeks. Problem is that I had to then skip a 11.5m race weeks after, and now tomorrow I have the Atlanta Publix Marathon, and I have been able to run roughly 10 miles since my 50km pain free...so this should be interesting.
  2. New season, same crap. Atlanta down 1-0 within 10 minutes to SAN F**** JOSE.

    The Holiday Thread

Yeah - I'd love to time it up with a week that maybe Atletico has a midweek game so that we can attend a couple of matches. Likely wouldn't be taking the daughter though, so that'd make it easier.
  5. Those photos at the bottom are what nightmares are made of. 'Girl catching snowflakes with her tongue'....shutter.
  6. I definitely agree with this, and I hope it begins this weekend It does seem Real Madrid struggle creating chances if Vini isn't playing lights out, whereas Barca are a lot more deep and can attack from a lot more angles. It should be an exciting couple of months regardless.
  7. This kind of stuff seems to be coming out daily against Valencia. IF true, then this is just more of a reason for Lim and his team to leave the club to someone who actually cares about the club, fans, and results. https://www.football-espana.net/2023/02/21/valencia-accused-of-failing-to-pay-players-while-funding-luxury-house-for-chairwoman
  8. Absolutely on Seattle vs Portland. I was in Portland during the time of a game between them to, and that was great to see the excitement. While it's not as big, Atlanta vs Orlando is a pretty nasty rivalry too.
  9. These lists are always just someone's opinion and nothing more. For instance, #2 I'd put America vs Chivas, as I love that game and it's just such a massive deal here as well. I don't get the DC vs NYRB, as DC haven't been relevant in years and so their seems to be very little around that game. El Trafico I get though, while new, it's got some passion in it and has provided some of the greatest MLS games ever. Outside of a few Brazilian and Argentine teams, I don't watch anyone else in South America, so honestly I couldn't tell you the two best teams in Chile/Peru or their greatest rival.
  10. It's insane. I heard a small select of people mentioned with his dancing, that he's asking for it. F*ck off I say, and I hope Vini dances away. People will always find a way to hate you and so if he were to stop, they just find something else they'd not like about him, and yet swear that they aren't 'racist'. Pricks. I'm glad La Liga is really taking this serious, and putting in extra effort to find those that are yelling things at Vini, and prosecuting those that are guilty. They already found the main culprit at Mallorca, and luckily that jackass is facing criminal charges.
  11. Valencia's Next 5 Matches.... Feb 25 - vs Real Sociedad Mar 5 - at Barcelona Mar 11 - vs Osasuna Mar 18 - at Atletico Madrid Apr 2 - vs Rayo Yikes - I'd give them an outside shot against Osasuna, but really I can't imagine Valencia getting any points in these games, which is why this last weekend was such a crippling lose for Valencia.
  12. Exactly. Valencia fans are doing anything wrong, and are just trying to support their team. Tebas has more important things to worry about then this, he just needs to shut up and let things take their course. The shit show continues...
  13. Saturday, February 25 NYCFC at Nashville San Jose at Atlanta New England at Charlotte Houston at Cincinnati Toronto at DC United Montreal at Miami NY RB at Orlando Columbus at Philadelphia St. Louis at Austin Minnesota at Dallas FC LAFC at LA Galaxy Kansas City at Portland Salt Lake at Vancouver Sunday, February 26 Colorado at Seattle
  14. @Carnivore Chris - 3 upcoming matches against Real Madrid. Should be an extremely interesting month.
  15. What an absolute run of games for Real Madrid coming up! I heard this early and had to confirm as I couldn't believe it to be true, but sure enough, this is brutal. Feb 21 - at Liverpool (CL) Feb 25 - vs Atletico Mar 2 - vs Barcelona (CdR) Mar 5 - at Real Betis Mar 11 - vs Espanyol Mar 15 - vs Liverpool (CL) Mar 19 - Barcelona Apr 2 - vs Valladolid Apr 5 - at Barcelona (CdR) Apr 9 - vs Villarreal Espanyol and Valladolid should be easier games, but holy shit is this a brutal lineup.
  16. And then Javier Tebas says this, WTF Tebas, the fans protested outside the stadium for 19 minutes before entering...hardly being insulting.
  17. Nothing is going the way of Valencia this year. Nothing.
  18. Couldn't even begin to imagine what that was like... Unreal
  19. Maybe since I'm not German, but it's always shocked me how popular Schalke are.
  20. Officially begins in 8 days with Nashville vs NYCFC! @Stan - Mind doing your 'pinning' magic and replace last year's thread with this one? Thanks Love, LP

Stuff like this is just fantastic. Reminds me of an America's Got Talent Performance when you had a slightly similar thing happen.
  22. It's fantastic to see this. Truly is. There has been marches nationwide in solidarity to the Iranian people, and two of them were here in Atlanta. At work, there are a few Iranians and it's just unreal to hear stories about what is taking place there... Truly shocking. I hope your family is well (I think your Mom's family is still over there if I'm remembering correctly), but yeah, seeing the people of Iran stand up for their rights is completely inspiring.
