My Dad made a joke that I must be wired differently. Yet I have a lot of friends who have the same passion as I, and we all joke about this hobby of ours. This year alone, I have 2 marathons, a 50m (80.5km) race, and then a race that is approximately 120m (193km)

Knocked off one of the things that was on my 'bucket' list last weekend. Since I moved into my house, I have wanted to run from my house, to my Mother's House, and finish at my Father's house, so I decided to do it this year the weekend before my birthday. I started at 5:30 in the morning, with just a bag, and a lot of water, and ran around Atlanta to complete the journey. I felt great until I got to my Mom's house, where I ended up staying for about 15-20 chatting and eating a PB&J. The Trek from My Mom's to my Dad's was a rough affair. I have ran much further, but this route didn't have sidewalks so I was constantly on uneven soft ground which sooner or later begin to wreck your ankles and knees. Here is my Garmin Tracker form the run. In early March I will be volunteering at the Olympic Trails for the Marathon that is here in Atlanta, and the day after I'll be running the Georgia Publix Marathon on the same course.
  3. Just finished this - 5/10 - Started off strong, and very intriguing, and then just got rather boring. I'm surprised I even finished as it was more a chore than it should of been. Regardless, it's about a subject I love...
  4. I could certainly use a new show. Have finished Peaky Blinders (Really Good), Bodygaurd (Really Good), and Bosch (Good) Thinking of watching maybe Dexter, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, or anything else if someone has any recommendations.
  5. Yeah - the video that Stan posted almost made me spit out my coffee. I felt like a child laughing at a penis joke.
  6. Yeah - this doesn't make sense. I would argue that racism is a much harsher offense than grabbing your pecker and doing the helicopter in public.
  7. I saw that this was under discussion. Makes sense really, nothing much worse when an outbreak occurs than to gather a lot of potentially infected people into a small area.
  8. I heard there is a case in Indiana as well.
  9. Outbreaks are being reported in the States. So far they seem to be mainly on the West Coast, with nothing reported here in Atlanta...yet.
  10. Young, Moses, Erickson...it's a lot of talent coming to San Siro. It's an exciting time for sure and I keep getting surprised when I get alerts that Inter signed another big name.

Very true, and it was an honest misread, but that whole dialog still gets me when I think about it. No - I am also an introvert, although not severe, and the #1 issue my wife and I have is our different personalities and how she wants to always be with people, know about other's lives, and be 'in the know', whereas I couldn't give a shit, and am rather focused of being the best version of myself and the rest of the world be damned. It's a constant struggle, and I'll say this with any personality trait. You are NEVER alone. Their are too many people in this world for you to be the only one of worries or stressing about something. If you like reading, I did like the book called quiet by Susan Cain. You might want to give it a shot.

How in the world did this not win 'Quote of the Year"?

    Animals

For those of you that are friends with me on FB, you probably have seen (although I rarely post anything), but the wife and I have gotten a new Puppy to go with our 5 year old Black Lab. His name is Bear, and he's a Plott Hound puppy that is roughly 9 weeks old.
  14. Just finished a French show called, Marseille, which was watchable but lost the plot on Season 2 (and thus got cancelled). But I've been watching a lot of shows on Netflix, particularly in foreign languages. Some of the ones I recommend are Better than Us and Можер
  15. But I keep checking to see how many days left until said races.
  16. I can't wait for this season to get started. It's amazing how I keep checking my calendar for this sport, which I knew NOTHING about just 12 months ago.

    The Weather

Awful weather here. Warning already of Tornados and severe thunderstorms for the next week.
  18. This is what I strive for in 2020.

Yeah - I have heard about it, but have never done it. I did do P90x a few years ago, which was nice and extreme (especially the Abs workout). HIIT is nice, in that they have different classes depending on what you are looking for. For me, since I run Marathons and longer, I'm going to be doing the Accelerate HIIT which is meant to increase speed and other cardiovascular boosting activities.

And another loss last night, this time to the awful Red Wings. Such a piss poor excuse for effort last night, being up 2-0, then 3-1, only to lose it 4-3.

Probably joining a gym in the next day or two. Not for any New Year's Resolution that I have, but that as I have been increasing my running, I have wanted to add a HIIT (High Intensivity Interval Training), and there is a gym near me that has classes like this and it's only $29.99/mo for my wife and I. Usually gyms like this are about $100/mo around here, and I just wasn't about to splash that kind of cash.

Another fucking loss tonight for the Habs. This is getting ridiculous .
