  1. BBC covered it quite a bit on last night's news.
  2. Six boroughs in Liverpool to be told to shut their pubs and other social gathering areas (casinos, gyms, bars, social clubs) from 5pm on Wednesday for a month. Ridiculous that it's just Liverpool being told to do this. Nottingham has a seriously high rate of infection per 100k people yet has faced no lockdown restrictions at all. It's no wonder the government are being labelled as discriminatory and unfair. Jenrick this morning on Andrew Marr's show was a joke.

    Tennis

I very much enjoyed that. Not cos I proper love Nadal but because seeing Djokovic get annihilated after his recent antics was bliss.
  4. Terrible pic cos it was off the phone very much zoomed in but this was Mars last night with a clear sky over London
  5. Very much so. Best to vote them out when the option presents itself...
  6. Margaret Ferrier can fuck off now as well. Should have done last week. Refusing to resign and now she's saying it was 'just a blip' and covid makes you 'act out of character'. Sturgeon should just sack her. Takes the piss now.
  7. This shite and corruption still continues. Corrupt tories know no bounds

  11. As much as it would be common sense to do so, it's not compulsory to wear a mask outdoors yet so they're probably just taking advantage of that.
  12. Shaqiri has now tested negative. Going to Spain to re-join Swiss squad.

    Nice. Good luck!
  14. I don't think there is. Starmer asked for evidence of the 10pm curfew to be published and on what scientific grounds was it imposed, and I guess as a result of that will be the results of how effective it has been. Not very, I'd imagine, considering they're thinking about further lockdowns and restrictions in the north, which I think is grossly unfair. I think I read the other day that Boris' own constituency (Uxbridge) has a higher infection rate than those that have been in lockdown throughout summer, yet that have been no further restrictions placed there. As @The Artful Dodger says, it is wholly political and I don't get what Tories gain out of this other than further hatred and resentment back on them. The decisions don't make sense outside of the political alignment.
  15. Did anyone come flying out of the blocks last night? I'd have love to be a fly on the wall to hear what was said after the debate.
  16. Been out quite a few times and mask-wearing is quite prevalent. From what I've seen, most are compliant. My observation being that majority of those that aren't compliant are black people. I think I mentioned a few weeks ago after going to Reading or Westfield (can't remember which) but it was noticeably black people (male & female) who weren't wearing masks. And to me, this was odd given the well-documented threat of COVID to the health of BAME people. Of course they may all have their own legitimate reasons as to why they shouldn't wear a mask, but I very much doubt 100% of these people seen all fell in to that category. Additionally, I still can't fathom why people wear a mask but don't cover their nose with it. It literally is beyond any discernible logic to go the (minimal) effort to put the mask on but not cover one of the areas it needs to cover to be efficient. It's just stupidity in action. And from when I've been to pubs and restaurants there seems to be the required distancing between tables (I've never felt uncomfortable in them) and they've obliged with taking details of who's booked. Although the restaurant I went to must have breached some GDPR because it just looked like it was a notepad and it was names and mobile numbers. Anyone could have taken anyone else's - it was just there on the bar counter . Other places have it electronically. Some pubs I've been to have done table service and it's worked fine from my experience.

  18. Well as it stands, yes. He has to self-isolate for 14 days. You play Man City on 17th, which is within those 14 days. Unless the investigation proves otherwise, he'll be missing it...
  19. Beaten St Pauli 4-1 in a friendly. Chong and Sargent 2 of the scorers.
  20. Make that a 3-3 draw with Andorra scoring a last minute equaliser...
