  1. 3-0. Totally unexpected! @Toinho wtf is going on
  2. Fornaroli scores against his old club! Shit game so far but moment of genius from Fornaroli. Keeper should have come out but Fornaroli heads in expertly.
  3. Genuinely thought it'd be a mix of seniors/youngsters for both squads that are going and staying. Can see Villa giving you an absolute walloping but on the flip side, you giving an absolute thrashing to whoever you play in Qatar. Favourable for us given the time frame in which you would leave Qatar and then play us. Does Klopp do Xmas Day training
  4. It's incredible but not in the least bit surprising, sadly.
  5. definite miracles needed at Everton though...

    The Holiday Thread

    Not heard of that place!
  7. My favourite one of the season for obvious reasons.
  8. Think Dortmund will become more consistent even though it may still be under Favre. Gladbach and RB will put up good fights but perhaps tail off towards the end of the season. Participation in Europe is still a big factor - Dortmund and Bayern have big enough squads to rotate I think? Not sure if RB and Gladbach have the same kind of depth.
  9. Big fan of this if it happens. In-stadium communications need to improve and this would be a big help. Like they do in NFL and it works to a tee.
  10. Van Dijk has gone up in my estimations for giving some back to Piers
  11. And any of the words before that? I think it's fairly certain he's staying here and won't go to Arsenal right now.
  12. Can the media stop being cunts now and stop touting him to a job that, right now, he'd be foolish to go to?
  13. Reckon lose a few more games and continue to play turgid football. Think a lot may depend on where you may be at certain points in the season. Like you say 9th is about right compared to the negative press associated with OGS and how/where Utd are at right now. But if on Jan 1st after a busy Xmas period you find yourself 14th for example, and only 1 point above relegation, maybe the axe begins to fall. Find yourself in 8/9th this time next month and is it that bad? The other thing is probably that Man Utd don't want to fork out millions on compensation 1) for OGS if they sack him and 2) to prise a manager away from another club. Who knows - perhaps Man Utd are just waiting for the right person to be available and until that happens, Solskjaer is safe. He doesn't seem to have proverbially lost the dressing room just yet otherwise you wouldn't really be picking up many points as you have done. Getting knocked out of the Europa League may signal the end.
  14. Don't think this is true. Luiz marginally improves a defence made up of Chambers, Holding, Sokratis, Mustafi... That's not a top 4 defence and it's that kind of defence which really holds you back. I like players like Torreira, Guendouzi for your midfield but as you say, no-one really showing anything good in this team.
  15. 7 games without a win for Arsenal. Longest since January 1992.
  16. Anyone ever watch Derry Girls? Binged the 2 series in the last week. Was in fits of laughter at some stages. Really liked it.

    Off Topic

Felt like I was back at uni today when at work. A couple months ago at one of our team meetings I suggested we do some pre-Xmas after-hours rent visits to see if we can engage with our tenants who we sometimes can't get hold of during the day in the week or are generally hard to contact. Couple weeks ago we chose this week to do the visits, specifically Tuesday and Thursday. We sent some stuff to Comms team to get some flyers/leaflets made out offering help/financial assistance we can offer etc. Due to illnesses and personal reasons, they were cancelled on Monday and I sent an e-mail out saying to re-arrange for the same evenings next week instead. Didn't get much uptake on it and there were some tentative responses. Then one of the team members literally suggests the exact same thing today i.e. next week we should do some visits and use the leaflet campaign and target people before Christmas to prioritise rent etc. She was one of them who said she couldn't do it next week as well so right now I'm so confused. But now she's trying to organise it. Like being back in uni when you do the work and someone else tries to take credit for it
  18. Not sure if it's Johnson/Tories playing hard-to-get or how hard the BBC have actually tried. I suspect it's the former...
