So in my quest to get fitter and in line with one of my resolutions at the start of this year, I've started back up on the exercise bike we've got which for the most part has been gathering dust. I've not been able to play football due to injury so thought I'd take up exercise on the bike as it doesn't involve going out or costing anything. Did 10km in 31mins. Not sure if that's good or not but I aim to get below 30mins and even quicker in the next few weeks.

Stan & Ollie 7/10. Firstly, I was heavily disappointed I did not feature in this film. Secondly, I thought it would have charted their success from start to finish, and what made them the icons of comedy. But interestingly enough, it actually follows their lives after they reached their peak. So there was a lot of stuff that I actually learned about the duo. But the film still kept some of its humour but also depicted the immeasurable connection the two had with each other. It's not your normal cinema-going film - it's bereft of action or tension (not that that's what I expected, mind) but in spite of that, you still feel fairly engrossed in it and become emotionally connected to the characters.

Yep! My first thought was pretty much this: Did you ever work the same security places/shifts as @Rafa Beneathus?

@Toinho thank me again later. Now 4-3 to Perth. Very soft penalty I think!
-
@Toinho thank me later. It's now 3-3. Keogh with the equaliser.
-
Bit of a shock on the cards with Perth losing at home to Western Sydney. Currently 3-2 to the away side with 10 mins to go. Much-changed Sydney side and perhaps Perth have underestimated them. Castro has made a difference since half time but Western Sydney are putting up a good fight against leaders and are good for the 3 points if they hold on. I guess this is where @Toinho says he decided to watch the game which is why they're losing

No idea about that. Only 5 teams leave the Premier Division (1 automatic, 1 playoff, 3 relegated). Then of the 3 other divisions you have the winners of each eague and winner of each league's playoff, so 6 teams. I wonder if the promotion is based on who gets relegated from the Premier Division. Which would be pretty shit if you got all that way to win a playoff then realise you can't get promoted because a team in the same region didn't get relegated, so I doubt it works like that

Top spot gets automatic promotion to Premier Division. 2nd to 5th go in to playoffs.

We started off far too slow. If Dhoni stayed in for even 5 or 6 more overs we might have had a chance but can't fault Australia for keeping it very tight in the bowling. Sharma was quality as usual though.
-
Could be a good chase on here for India to execute. Chasing 289, they fell to 4 for 3 by 4 overs. Sharma and Dhoni rescuing the innings and currently at 139-3. Should be treated like a T20 match now with 150 needed from just under 20 overs.

@nudge @Bluewolf @Azeem Rahaf Al-Qunun has been given asylum in Canada https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-46844431

Yes, went in 2011 for a 4-day stopover on the way to Malaysia.
-
Also, if anyone wonders where myself, @IgnisExcubitor @Azeem @Mel81x @Asura were last week, this may give some ideas. I think it was @Devil-Dick Willie who filmed us. The bit at the end with the replay cracked me up

Laughable he gets banned for that. Yeah it's crass and a bit vulgar, but to be banned immediately for it?! OTT reaction from the authorities.

What were their opinions? What did they say?!

You'd like to think so.

Murray to retire after Wimbledon, if he even makes that tournament...

Not sure if you're serious, but if so, what the actual fuck I know Fornaroli hasn't been picked a lot for City but Keogh is absolutely shite these days . No way is he good enough for City?!

Only if a woman can pull off wearing them. I've seen girls wear them where they're far too high to be comfortable and you see them almost stumbling about. Some girls are so masochistic, too. They know 100% how much pain high-heels will cause them yet go through with all the pain because at the end of the night they can be like 'these heels are killing me, my feet ache blah blah blah'

Yeah that's true. Wes Morgan I can think of as an example, I remember some Forest fans saying he'll be poor, happy with how long they'd had him for and his contribution over the years but happy to see him go. Little did they know Gray's played there probably to accommodate Mahrez when he was here and Albrighton.

Ah right, I understand. Yeah that Ndidi goal was fluky as fuck. Rescued a point that game. Ghezzal must be one of the most underwhelming signings ever, at least for us if not Premier League. Might as well have chucked £12m down the drain. The only thing of note he's done was against a lowly League One side in Fleetwood in the League Cup. Says it all really that that was the only real time he delivered. I think with majority of signings there was some optimism that it may work out even though it doesn't at one club - so as much as Monaco fans may have disliked the player with them, sometimes a move away can kick-start a player's career again. Sadly not the case with Ghezzal for us. As you say he's everything Monaco said he'd be. I don't think he's fully settled here - he doesn't play with any comfortability on the pitch and I don't know what Puel sees in him. I'm losing patience with Gray. He had age on his side when he first joined in that you could clearly see some potential there but he's never lived up to it with any kind of consistency. Like you say he's the kind of player to dribble, cut inside, shoot. Very predictable and easier to defend against when 99% of the time that's what he'll do. I know he scored that sentimental goal away at Cardiff this season which will never be forgotten by any of us, and I know he's scored a few here and there, but the last genuine bit of quality that got me properly up out of my seat in excitement was the goal against Everton in October 2017 where he ran from own half, took on a couple of players and played it in to Mahrez to lead to a goal. Never seen anything quite near that level and time is running out for him to prove any quality he has. Having said that, no doubt if he left the club he'd be a quality player for whoever he moves to .

That was in November mate We've not scored against Tottenham or Cardiff since then sadly... Diabate has joined Sivasspor. We need to get Barnes back. Even if he plays 45 minutes of football he'll do more in that than what Ghezzal has been able to produce in his appearances so far. I don't know why we're fussing about with him. Not bothered about West Brom or what their fans think - some on Twitter saying it's 'disrespectful' we might call him back because our own wingers aren't delivering. That's part of the fucking point of a recall option you absolute imbeciles.

Anyone watching that Icons series on BBC Two. Categories of Activist, Scientist, Explorer, Leader, Sports Star and maybe one other. Trevor Mcdonald chose his leaders on Tuesday and Dermot O'Leary picked his explorers yesterday. The other episodes are next week but public are asked to vote from the presenters choices. Winner of each category goes in to a grand final next Thursday and the ultimate icon of the 20th century is chosen. Yesterday's was pretty good - didn't know who Gertrude Bell was but she was quite revolutionary in exploring the middle East. There was also Jane Goodall who exploded parts of Africa in the hunt for getting close to chimpanzees and also opening the world's eyes to conserving these areas before they get wiped out and lost forever. Surprised that Attenborough wasn't chosen though?
