  1. Lets be honest here. He's been shit for you granted but I don't think that's just down to the player alone. How does a player go from playing so well to almost non-existent and lost in a midfield? I'd argue that he had some of the best of his generation in midfielders at Ajax who were able to compliment what he bought to the table. Contrast that with what he has to work with at his current club and you can see why he may not be optimally performing. I thought when the manager changed that he would become good again just based on history and knowing how to use him but that doesn't seem to be the case. I think he'll come good at Frankfurt but it will take time because he's been out of it for so long he's going to need to recalibrate.

So sorry to hear that. Condolences to you and your family during this tough time.
  3. Clearly. My whole year revolved around a few titles on Steam - DOTA2, BG3, Mini Motorways (I am addicted and not ashamed to say it) and Wingspan to play with friends haha. My PS5 year on the other hand is just filled with all kinds of good things haha. My Switch probably takes the cake for most used this year.
  4. Odd but I spent most of the year on my PS5 and Switch with the only exception being Baldurs Gate which I played on PC. What's even more odd is that all the games I theoretically could have played on my PC I ended up playing on my PS5.
  5. I can't see Spurs winning it anytime soon. They lack the consistency and depth which are required in the modern game to actually mount a title challenge. Plus they're competing (like everyone else) with clubs funded a lot better than they are.
  6. Somewhere between 6 and 7. My uncle had a 3 and I thought it was cool like he was spy who had secret missions haha.
  7. Video games’ biggest trade show has been permanently canceled | E3 | The Guardian Some of my fondest memories of game hype came from this very event. Whether it was the release of a MGS trailer to things like Killzone that made me go wow they are pushing it. I also remember going to E3 in 2005 and thinking how nice it was to see so many people passionate about gaming all under one roof. Sad to see its demise really but it was inevitable considering how publishers and console devs wanted more me time. What are some of your favorite E3 moments if any?
  8. I'm just glad we didn't lose this game today. At one point it looked like they were trying and then just gave up which is good considering the final result. This team has a bit more ways to go for me to call them true title challengers. Are they exceeding expectations? Certainly. But is this a team that can clinch a title? I am not so sure about that. Teams around have been floundering more than a dominant display by Liverpool.
  9. Disgusting performance in this game by us. Its not like there weren't chances and its certainly not like they werent there for the taking either.
  10. I think Ten Haag must be quite pleased they've gotten out of this first half with no goals conceded.
  11. I'd like to think Nunez isn't hunting to get booked but he needs to calm down a shade.
  12. I can see more dev shops/AAA titles going down this route. I don't think it works out for them financially in the long run especially during year one of the release.
  13. Yeah Burnley are rather shit here. That should have been a goal.
  14. And they say banishing people isn't wholesome.
  15. I think that might be the wrong date. I heard its out next year in March.
  16. If you like Mecha-based games and love the idea of having to pilot a machine and combat this might be a good game for you. I have played about 2 hrs so far and I am loving it. Didn't realize FromSoftware and Bandai co-worked this and I'm probably selling it a bit short now but this is a good game imo. Enemies are hard, machine control isn't always the easiest and it does take some getting used to but once you get over those little problems there's a very complex game under the hood and if you're playing it on PC then turn it to max settings and watch it shine because it is also a very pretty game.
  17. This. I really doubt any amount of talk in the media about them getting battered is going to make them show up at Anfield of all places. I don't think it will be 7-0 but you get an early goal and shatter their already weak confidence and we will overrun them.
  18. Watching a few minutes of this second half and I have to ask, how are Spurs only two goals up in this game?
  19. Don't know what happened to him because I really liked him at Ajax and I thought with the current manager he'd find his feet again but it never really happened. I liked watching him play in that Ajax side so much I was a bit gutted we never went in for him because he was a superb box-to-box midfielder. I am sure he'll do well at Frankfurt, he just needs a different system and more playing time imo.
  20. To me the two aren't really exclusive to each other (player replacements + manager upgrade). Having a better manager can sometimes bring you the players you need better than having an existing one who is slowly running his course. That said, you're right, there isn't one out there right now so player replacements/position strengthening is the way to go.
  21. Going to have to say Newcastle too. They are a few signings away from getting there. Have to ditch the manager too while they are at it.
  22. Considering the political climate surrounding it all now I think Mossad wouldn't want to start anything with them being in Turkey.
