Do you also pretend you're annoyed with her spending money unnecessarily, but in secret love the stuff she gets you?

Yeah, I honestly can't remember when was the last time I got an actual birthday present Think I was still in high school, haha. Flowers + going out for a nice meal and drinks is by far better, indeed!

Better than getting nothing as a birthday present. Spoiled brats these days...

  15. That's above my pay grade, I'm afraid Taken by combinging infrared exposures, I don't have equipment for that But it's incredible, really. Square shapes are so rare in nature, especially at this scale. Looks almost artificial!
  16. Stumbled upon this one accidentally today, and was curious... Probably the most entertaining non-fiction book I've read. Basically the history of technology, science, art, music, culture and civilization presented in a form of a humorous repair manual of a time machine. About a hundred pages in, and actually learned a new thing of two, while having a laugh at the same time. Really digging it.
  17. There's a new series, The Lost Symbol, based on Dan Brown's novel. Two episodes out already. Just watched the first one, and it's surprisingly well done and entertaining! @Whiskey @Eco think you both like Dan Brown's stuff? Also @Bluewolf think you'd enjoy it too, a typical thriller-treasure hunt-mystery solving one!
  18. @Carnivore Chris: "Fully vaccinated travellers returning to England will no longer have to take a PCR test two days before coming home. They will still have to take a PCR test two days after arrival. However, from later in October, they'll be able to take a cheaper and simpler lateral flow test instead." https://www.bbc.com/news/explainers-52544307
  19. I think I first saw him in Into the West, which is one of my all-time favourite miniseries, and then noticed him in some smallish role in other TV shows. And I agree, his Westworld role was great. I also loved him in The Son as well...
  20. In one episode only Zahn McClarnon is also in it. The majority of the cast, all directors and writers are also indigenous.
  21. Yeah, I think you'll like it, too.
  22. Started re-reading this, just in time to set the mood for the TV series premiere!
  23. It looks fantastic... Added it to my list, will give it a go next time
