  1. To be fair, there are 10 games to go and that is still a lot of time for things to happen. I'm certainly not ruling you out of the automatic chase yet. Agree you'll be a huge danger in the playoffs for anyone, and I hope for that reason we can avoid that. I don't rate your keeper much if I'm honest but there aren't many weaknesses to your team. Only thing I could say is in the two games we played against you, especially the latter, we've dominated the ball (70% home, 67% away) and created double the chances, down to overpowing your midfield so perhaps you need to strengthen this area. I think losing Sawyers in the summer was probably more of a blow than you think. But you aren't far away at all. West Brom are top and I don't think they are the best team in this league being honest but that's Football.
  2. How many rounds are there? Do we repeat any of the main leagues if so?
  3. That's a good point. It actually could have been a lot better condensed into a 3 part series, 4 tops. But I think Netflix like these things to be 8-10 episodes long to fit in with this 'binge watch' culture we have.
  4. You might like it. But I was very underwhelmed, especially after hearing a lot of people talk about it.
  5. Heard a lot of hype about The Stranger. Not gonna lie, thoroughly disappointed. Far too many unanswered questions and things that didn't make sense. Literally one episode where I thought, ok this is finally hotting up, and that was the penultimate one. Even the 'cliffhanger' at the end was drab. Definitely won't be recommending this. Massively overrated.
  6. Ah, didn't realise you'd been before. Fair do's, looks a decent ground.
  7. Brilliant place. Temple Bar is obviously class. Atmosphere in all the pubs is best I've experienced. No one wants any trouble, just a good time. Live music, can't go wrong. Good time to go over also as the pubs will be rammed Sunday for the Rugby as it's England v Ireland.
  8. Did you choose to do the Atletico tour over Real? Or just a preference? I went to Madrid in 2016. Was decent to be fair. Probably would plump for Barcelona over the two though, just my opinion though.
  9. Sorry but it's absolutely ludicrous as to why Tottenham didn't get a striker in the past month. They already had the knowledge Kane was out for possibly the rest of the season and had the time to resolve that. They obviously tried to find a striker going off transfer rumours, but didn't get anything over the line and in the end, assumed they could get by with Lucas and Son, but neither are actual forwards. Would have thought Jose would have wanted a striker desperately but can only assume his hands would have been tied. A striker surely had to have been the target, at whatever cost, and now they will pay the price heavily. You can't tell me there isn't someone out there they could have got. It's ridiculous. Such a shame really when they had started to turn the corner.
  10. This will not be a popular opinion which I appreciate but personally hope it get's overturned. Feel bad for Pep and his team when they are being penalised for no wrong doing themselves. It's their performances on the pitch that get them where they are. They are a special team that play great football and have set a bar that others here haven't reached, until this season. And do we really want a team to get 5th and get in by default when they aren't good enough for Top 4 over the initial 38 games? Some will always hate City for the resources they have to get where they are. But there are some that will also admire what an incredible team they have been and if it is their last go at it for a couple seasons, I hope they go out, win it and shove two fingers at UEFA. As a fan of the old European competitions, it would be brilliant to see the Champions League belittled without it's champions defending the trophy.
  11. @Mel81x, are you minted? Looks like I'm gonna have to do some overtime
  12. Looks amazing and yet, I have to be honest, I'd never have thought that was right by India.

When your sound asleep dreaming of Chicken, Walkies and getting your bum sniffed. You enjoy it my love.
  16. Couldn't agree more. I think it probably is fair to say it disrupted you and created uncertainty back there. Right up till you played Everton in December, you'd had 8 games won by a single goal, pretty much mostly 2-1's. So teams always felt like they had been in the game with you and lost out by a piece of bad luck, VAR, missed chance etc. Was easy to see why people would have commented on the defence or Liverpool not being the team they quite were. I think we all half expected a slip up in truth, but it never materialised and then you just clicked like a well oiled machine. Rest is history.
  17. With the greatest of respects @LFCMike, I don't think those people genuinely would have believed the defence was 'Shit' as you state. However, two clean sheets in Liverpool's first fifteen PL games is definitely more than enough reason for said fans to think that defensively Liverpool looked vulnerable. How can it not? I've certainly never stated they are 'shit'. But I will hold my hands up and say I thought the first couple months of the season you rode your luck when the defensive unit was looking fragile and I stand by that 100% All credit to them for conceding once in the last 9 league games. Great run and look more like the defence of last season. Perhaps the fact there has been less dicking about with the other centre back next to Van Dijk which has contributed to that.
  18. I'm going to have a good look this weekend and next week with a view to booking something by end of next weekend. Will consider what you've suggested along with the others. Ideally, it would have been Iceland but going to save that for another time and try look into when the best time to see the Northern Lights is. That and New York are two of our 'must do's'. But I'm saving NY for possibly a 'special occasion'.
  19. Looking for a bit of inspiration. Got a weekend free in March for a long weekend somewhere in Europe. Between the both of us we've been to Barcelona, Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Madrid, Budapest, Lisbon and Sofia. Drawing a bit of a blank so far but would like to go somewhere different. I've been looking at Tallinn, Lake Bled in Slovenia and possibly Austria, like Vienna or Salzburg but I'm not sure. Maybe even Bruges?
  20. There is a line in Football as a fan. And you don't need VAR to see that's well over.
  21. What do you guys make of this? I follow this guy on Twitter for FPL purposes only as he seems to leak team line ups before the deadline. Very peculiar he would come out with this but his track record of being right with line ups gives this a bit more credibility.
  22. Saw Dracula on BBC Have to say, Episode 1 was fantastic TV. I loved the mood they created, very eerie and the story set the bar high. 9/10 Episode 2. Carrying on from the first although not quite as good, but maintaining the interest 7.5/10. Episode 3. It was like drunk sex. Trying to perform but just couldn't get it up. So so disappointing 4/10 This could have gone down as a bloody terrific mini series, no pun intended. But the twist they used and the path the show took was completely the wrong one and for me, tainted the overall rating. Shame. It's always more disappointing when a show grabs you, lifts you up high and then drops you from a great height.

This is how I'd like to see 2020 unfold. Fury v Wilder Joshua v Whyte Winners face off end of the year. Ideally, Fury v Joshua in one of the biggest domestic battles we've probably ever seen.
  24. I don't think he'd have gone there unless he's received assurances about what can be spent going forward to strengthen the team.
  25. IT 2 I don't really understand why this film lasted 169 mins when the two part series from the 90's lasted a total of 192 mins? Was that extra time really sufficient in retelling the story? I don't know. I also feel the use of humour throughout this and the first one deliberately took away any of the scare factors. It felt more like a 'Stranger Things' vibe than the psycho/horror/thriller of the Mini Series. Overall, pretty disappointed. That said, the actor playing Pennywise did a good job with what he was given, but Tim Curry's version still wins out for me.
