  1. Following on from the success of us, Harrogate Town are now through to the National League playoff final at Wembley. We've always had a nice affiliation with them. Good on them. Hope they can do it. They'll play either Barnet or Notts County in the final.
  2. Brilliant tip, thank you very much, I'll definitely look into that.
  3. I think Lucerne would perhaps be a good base with day trips to the likes of which you mentioned and above. That way we probably get the best of both worlds. Lucerne in itself, looks bloody beautiful to be fair.
  4. We would do something like a Thursday to Monday or Friday to Tuesday I imagine. We both love the outdoors, investigating the sites, scenery, walks and things like that. From what I see Switzerland is very picturesque and right up our street.
  5. It's a really cold, grey depressing day here so this morning I've been looking at trips for next year and I quite like the idea of Switzerland. I'm sort of thinking staying more central, that way we can flit between Interlaken, Grindewald, Bern and Lucerne. All of those places look unreal. And I feel we might get more out of that than say going to Geneva. Has anyone been to Switzerland or could advise of a better place to stay than what I'm thinking?
  6. @Carnivore Chris That's where I went, where @nudge said, Zaanse Schans. Short train journey from centraal, about 20 to 25mins i think. And you will know you are in the right place because as you start walking there you can smell Chocolate from the nearby chocolate factory, its a bit surreal. Lovely little cobbled streets around, it's very scenic. It's also quite nice to escape the main hub of the city for somewhere a little more peaceful. It would definitely kill a couple hours anyway. Edit - Just stuck a couple pics in to give you an idea.
  7. Congrats, I don't blame you at all. Makes sense as well if there's not much on the agenda here. Are you able to do pretty much everything you'd usually do over there? What region you staying in this time? I am all 'Dammed out I think but I'd never say never. I'll be back one day no doubt
  8. This is from yesterday evening during our little trek out the New Forest.
  9. This is a pretty big admission to make on a night where three big calls were all made incorrectly. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53357841 I don't think Tim Cahill makes a bad point there. Maybe an ex-player should be on the VAR panel to assist. Either way, these decisions cannot persist now we have the use of technology or else it will render it pointless.
  10. Yeah, can't beat a good forest walk. Just got back now actually from one. We walked more of a countryside route today and took a picnic to have down by a stream. Didn't really take many, apart from this one.
  11. A couple from yesterday's walk
  12. When the pubs reopen, I'm giving it a total wide berth. I can see exactly how it's going to go, people are gonna get over excited like they haven't had a beer before, all the idiots will be out and I don't think it's gonna be pretty. It's BBQ season and I'm happy having social drinks at home or round someone's. Not too bothered on restaurants either. More than happy to let everyone rush to them. The only thing I will do is get a proper haircut because it's so bloody hot now, I can't deal with it being too long

I ordered this card off the internet from a site that produces some pretty funny cards, for my old man. He genuinely loved it.
  16. What the fuck is wrong with people in this day and age that they feel the need to video distasteful things? I was reading about the bloke that has killed at least 3 people and possibly more in Forbury Gardens in Reading on Twitter and up popped a bloody video. Why on earth would you film people in that state and then decide, 'You know what, I'll put this on Twitter for a few likes'. Fuck off. It should be an offense. It's totally disrespectful. On another note, absolutely shocking what has happened though. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-berkshire-53123975

  22. Cheers for that, I'll definitely have a little look at some of the apps in the store give one or two a burn. I'm not a serious photographer but it does feel amazing when you get a shot, you know it's decent and you're proud of it.
  23. That sky looks sexy as fuck. I'm assuming you only get that with a proper camera?
  24. On my phone mate. I don't have a proper camera, I don't think I've been into it enough to ever invest properly. But fair play to you guys that do.
  25. I was quite proud of this one this morning, mainly for the sky. It has made the photo.
