Not sure where to put it but I notice Amazon have 4K Ultra firesticks down from £50 to £30 should anyone fancy picking one up as an alternative to paying for Sky/Virgin in light of recent events.

Sounds really good. It's amazing the difference it can make to everything when you are feeling fit and healthy. Might have to treat yourself to some new clothes I reckon

Had some nice weather last week, albeit bloody cold, so took a trip down to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove on the Jurassic coast of Dorset. Always looks amazing in the sun.

Nice one, good work. That's not far off two stone, great achievement. How have you found the change in diet? I cannot stress how much a difference water intake makes.

It sounds boring to me whenever I describe it, probably because I don't try and glorify it but it is interesting seeing how everything works inside the port for sure. From the container ships coming in, all the big vehicles, cranes and machinery unloading these boxes and then us transporting them up country and what not. It's had its moments too, especially when immigrants have used a container for a free ticket out their country, or poisonous spiders that have hitched a ride and need fumigating

Well I work inside a container port but my job I can do at home from behind a screen. I work for a frieght operator running trains import and export out of depots up and down the country. These terminals operate over a 24 hour period so it needs constant monitoring with loading and unloading in time constraints and getting trains away on time. It pays the bills haha.

I recently been working a lot of night shifts from home and been re-watching a few classics. Godfather 1 and 2, Casino, Goodfellas and Heat. I am a bit all ganster'ed out now but I can honestly say they just don't come close to making them like these nowadays.

Sounds so much more better than The Raj on a Friday night. Stick me down for a portion. I'll bring a takeaway tub with me just to make it feel authentic.

The one last week against Dallas was ridiculous. Totally ridiculous. Losing a game like that in the manner that you did is going to psychologically kill you i think. You need to start seeing games through to the end or the team are going to become more and more mentally weak. Strange as well the fine margins. Attack wise, Ryan and the likes of Jones, Gage and Ridley are flying.

Last year was the first proper year I got into it and followed it from start to finish. Before that, I'd casually watched Superbowls or the odd playoff game. This season I am so on it. And the standard of games recently have just been ridiculous. Yesterday I saw Buffalo v LA Rams which was amazing how that game swung back and forth. Followed by a really exciting game between Seattle and Dallas. Russell Wilson is just ridiculous. Saw a tiny bit of Saints v Packers as I love the Sunday Night Football programme before I bailed to bed but after seeing the highlights, again, another classic contest. I felt before a ball was kicked it'd be the Ravens purely for their defence and Lamar and I won't change from that, but I got a sneaky feeling the Steelers could be this season's Tennessee. They look to have a great defence and weapons in attack. Expect them to go under the radar.

What's in a Yellow Curry? I've never heard of that before, just red curries and thai green curries.

Haha, that was the dogs and out the two of you, I know which one of you is winning the 'look into my sorryeyes' contest

His career has been heading one way for a while now, ever since the move to Aston Villa. Unfortunately he has has all sorts of personal issues, some self inflicted, some out of his hands, that has really limited his pitch time. It will be interesting to see if he has the motivation to play a whole season at this level. He was nothing but good for us so I'd like to see him have a good season anyway.

I would actually go as far to say that Cash, Watkins and Martinez is already a miles better window than last summer's when they brought in like 11-12 players. All 3 players are significant upgrades on what they currently have.
-
I watched the second wave of three episodes today. I always prefer the transfer window episodes because that generally provides some great insight other than the usual match routines. Episode 5 didn't disappoint either, especially seeing a disgruntled Danny Rose and Jose clash. It was refreshing to see something a bit more 'edgy' than the normal niceties. And it was nice to see the chat between Eriksen, Levy and Jose on the possibility of Inter signing him from each person's perspective. Refreshing honesty.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall watching Foden squirm as he tries to explain this video to his missus -

Ah I see, I misread what you meant. I'll wind my neck in then. -

I disagree. They have broken rules and shown disrespect to the manager. It's actually even worse the fact they are both in the squad for the first time. Imagine starting a new job somewhere in a higher position and fucking up in the first week? It's a bit embarrassing. Not only that, surely after what Maguire has just done there was an internal message to the squad to keep your nose clean for a bit. For two lads on their debut call up's to disrespect that is really dumb. Southgate has done the right thing. He's sent them home. He had a thinly veiled pop at Grealish for being foolish off the pitch and left him out the squad initially citing the behaviour as one of the reasons, and he has to be consistent here with these two. I would not be against him leaving them both out of the next call up's to teach them a lesson. It's not a lads on tour trip, they should be remaining professional. Really disappointed, especially in Foden as he had a decent game the other night but there you go. -
I watched this ages ago for half an hour and switched it off. Bored me to tears when they were getting interviewed. Then funnily enough today, one of my girlfriend's mates said they watched it last night and liked it after the interviewing bit because that's when the film got going. Fair comment? If so, I might try again.

It would not surprise me if we went back for Benrahma if the Rodrigo de Paul deal doesn't go through. We've obviously targeted de Paul on the basis he is a higher calibre player but he's costlier and we need to fight off competition to get him. But its important to note our top journalist has said Leeds can afford him, so it's just about getting a fair price for everyone. If that fails and no one has snapped up Benrahma at that point, I think we'll swoop in. But I know when we initially made enquiries we were put off by the price tag. Certainly was the case for Watkins which was a shame but for an person that hasn't played top level, everyone has their price. I feel like Villa are probably reaching that point with him now before they go back in for Wilson at Bournemouth. -

So he turned down Brentford but couldn't get the move he really wanted and his agent has gone crawling back? I wonder if that was linked to Celtic getting knocked out the Champions League? Surprised Brentford went through with it still if he mugged them off previously but there is no doubt he is a talent. The jump from League One to Championship is not enough IMO for him to be worried about not scoring. He should still bag in numbers. Brentford are quite savvy so I don't think they would have been prepared to let Watkins go without a replacement. Should set off a bit of a chain reaction now I'd have thought. -

Now Maguire has been found guilty, Southgate has a big decision to make. If he remains consistent and drops him, I tip my hate and say fair play. If he keeps him in, he will lose the authority he was beginning to build in charge. Either way, he should really be issuing a statement soon as. -

But as @Cicero alluded to, Grealish is competing for a wider role of the front 3. Phillips is a defensive midfielder. I did wonder if Grealish would get a chance in the 8 position, bit more central as a playmaker which I mentioned earlier, but Southgate has said he hasn't been playing there for Villa so makes sense why he wouldn't be playing there for England. Competition on the wings are fierce. Phillips has an opportunity in an area where no one has nailed down that role. Several have come and gone but no one have made it their own. It's up for grabs and he has a chance. And it's testament to Phillips that he has been called up because he's performed to a high standard consistently albeit a division below because not many Championship players are. But that shows how well coached he is in his position. Bielsa has transformed him and turned him into a top player, Southgate acknowledges that and hopefully many others will soon.
