Amazing the difference of comments on here taking into account those stats compared to when the 'Can Tottenham win the Premier League' thread was first created. I just read back on that thread and it's like Night and Day. Some people may regret their predictions because they were a bit too quick to jump on the bandwagon I think

I used to despise that, especially if you were waiting specifically for one particular hairdresser and as you got closer to your turn you'd be sweating you got who you wanted. Ever since they all have their own apps and stuff now its so much easier. I'm booked in for next Wednesday, 1:30 so i'll literally rock up a couple mins before and away we go. Ideal.

Yeah, thats a beaut Brian. What the fuck would we do without dogs eh...

Sounds like it was fate when things like that happen. Brilliant stuff though, fair play to you both for going down the rescue road.

Lovely looking dog that mate. Did you always have that one as well as the one you sadly lost before Christmas?

Beef was gorgeous, lovely little touch of mustard on as well. As for the 'taters, I think next time I will do that. Need to boil them and get them to that stage so that I can whack them in the tin with the oil hot and watch the magic happen. Watch this space.

@Tommy was spot on, dunno what you were thinking there!

Finally broken my Roast virginity. Beef melted in the mouth. Yorkshire's were spot on. Roastie's needed a bit more crunch but overall, pretty pleased.

My mate in Leeds runs a little Sweets business so I thought I'd help him out. I do love a few Sweets now and again, not gonna lie. Got enough to sink a battleship now but the bags are resealable, so will likely make up little mixups to have now and again, especially when we have little visitors.

Profit far outweighing the outlay so far @Dan, nice work.

I must admit, I was starting to wonder why we hadn't seen James Rodriguez for a while. Until today. Now, it all makes perfect sense. Ok, I know what you're thinking. Bullshit. And I'd be inclined to agree, but this is pretty convincing pictorial evidence... 10/10 for originality. God bless the International Break boredom

Brilliant detective work. Had my suspicions to be fair. Feel a bit for the people that came over from their old board with her, they have been duped for years. Now can we have a list of everyone that PM'd her after she put her 'photo' up in the picture thread please. Name and shame

England National Team Discussion
Lucas replied to carefreeluke's topic in International Competitions
That is actually true to be fair. Being selfish, I don't want to risk our player's fitness when he isn't with us. However, I do feel for him on a personal level not to have that moment. He does miss some sitters but he's performed above what I ever expected, for his sake I'd have liked to see him rewarded. In truth, if England are turning to the likes of Pat and Watkins mind, we're in more trouble than I thought. And to be fair, it's only due to Ings being injured anyway. -

I wasn't going to bother commenting as I'm not a fan of Southgate but I will say this. I am in no way championing Patrick Bamford for England. I've not once mentioned it on here or in any Leeds thread. But...when you start giving caps away to the likes of Ollie Watkins, a guy who has scored less and assisted less, you have to fight your player's corner. And Southgate's reasoning about really liking Watkins pressing and runs in behind, Bamford does that superbly for us. It's actually the main reason Bielsa has kept him in this team, for what he gives. But anyway, what does it matter. The reality is neither will be seeing any minutes at the Euro's anyway. -
Can't wait to see him wearing a City kit in 13 years time. You'll have the perfect how it started, how it ended

It's been a little profit today, nothing mad but three wins on Day 1 of Cheltenham. But it feels gutting in truth. That 6 Fold was so close to going big. 3 winners, 3 2nd places. Concertista lost by a nose, which should have been a win jacking the win up more, whilst the other two were close runners up. Gutting as that was as close as I've come to winning a big bet ever. Talking 3K and I've only ever won as high as £400+ on Footy before. Feels like catching a big fish only for it to snap off as you reel it in. But I'll take it. Try again tomorrow.

Nice little win today. Makes up for Dortmund conceding a 94th min equaliser for roughly the same amount Tuesday night.

Line of Duty Season 6. Get the fuck back in my life. Buzzing for this.

Referees/VAR in the Premier League
Lucas replied to Happy Blue's topic in Premier League - English Football Forum
Now that it seem's from next season we have a bit more common sense on these controversial handball shouts that have been happening, they will go a long way to getting fans and players more on board if they can sort out the offside rule. I'd probably accept it they said just stay consistant with the foot, it's easier to comprehend if the attackers foot is ever so slightly ahead of the defenders, but for fuck sake, don't penalise an attacker for pointing to where he wants the ball played and saying his arm or shoulder is offside or shite like that. -
Referees/VAR in the Premier League

I hope to god they look at the offsides and can do something about those ridiculous lines that come out. I've had a gutful of that shit. I accept there will be some that will say 'offside is offside' and all that jazz but it's absolutely sucked the life out of a game seeing goals that to the naked eye seem legit, then these minute lines say no, it's offside by a shoulder, armpit or a knee cap. Just fuck off. I've found that the most frustrating thing above everything and being perfectly honest here, I don't care if someone scores a marginal one against us which the previous VAR lines would have wiped out, if it means we can have a degree of common sense back in the game. What the answer is I don't know, whether you measure from the foot or you thicken the VAR lines like they do in the Eredivisie, whatever it takes to stop these joke decisions. People forget this Sport is supposed to provide entertainment. -
