FC Brentfjord - Official Premier League Topic

It's true. The teams coming down are only going to get stronger because of the money available at the top level and there's already at least 10 teams in that division I'd fancy to get promoted before Brentford. I do think you're slightly deluded. -

I'd be amazed to see Brentford promoted any time in the next 15 years. -
Everton are doing well this window, the Lukaku and Barkley money will bring a lot of that expenditure back to them as well. Whether they will do enough to break into that top six, especially with the Europa League added, remains to be seen but I wouldn't object to them getting in.
-
Dembele is a good player but I'm not sure he's the man to come in and score goals like Lukaku has done. It's difficult to compare players success in Scotland to what the would do in England because the standard of play is worlds apart.

I think it can only been seen as a good appointment - an experienced manager with a decent record coming in as assistant will help Shakespeare.
-
Seems to be happening according to several sources on Twitter. Says something that a manager of a decent League One club is willing to become a PL Number 2.
-
Can definitely see Lucas moving, Rafa is a big fan of his. We need another central midfielder too, Shelvey will start but not sure Hayden is up to the PL week-in week-out and Colback isn't up to it at all.
-
Obviously Shakespeare is being backed with a bit of cash then, that squad needs freshening up a bit and Maguire is a good start. Evans is decent but wouldn't be paying that much for him.
-
Thought he did, have no recollection of him playing any games though.

Inman used to play for us didn't he?

I don't think that Twitter account is very reliable.

Done well there considering he hardly played, though he has done quite well over there and I'm sure Marseille will see it as a decent deal for them too. Sels next out of the door, what a shit signing that was.

Poor collapse from SA, would be very surprised if Pakistan can't chase that down.

England National Team Discussion

Don't think they'll be rattled by it, it just doesn't make much sense. They could play the game straight away and let them go, they also have to stick around for a pointless friendly after playing Scotland too. -

No excuse whatsoever for losing to that bunch! -

Agree with that, they might aswell get them done the week the season finishes. -
What's happened to Djokovic? I don't follow Tennis much but I remember not so long ago he was quite dominant, just a loss of form or something worse than that?
-
I wouldn't be surprised if we went in with a loan deal with a view to buy. We do need a left-back so I would be open to the deal but I don't want to be paying over the odds. On another note, I'm quite glad it hasn't worked out for Debuchy at Arsenal. He was always average.
-
I like Mertesacker, have always rated him quite highly and his performance in the cup final was very good indeed. I don't know anything about Kolasanic other than that he's a left-back. I would assume that Gibbs and Debuchy will leave Arsenal this summer. We've been linked to Gibbs a bit but I think £15 million seems a bit pricey.

That's most exams are, a memory test. Good luck with getting it amended, you never know what could happen.

Never smoked and won't start as there's a few people I know that have become completely addicted. Good luck with quitting, it shouldn't be too difficult when you don't smoke that many.

He and Gary Anderson.

Yeah, it was a daft shot to attempt. He should have just played his way in and built up his confidence for a while. I still think England will catch them - these two batting now are different gravy.

The only time I've ever seen that lad play was for the England U20's the other day and I thought he was utter dross. Granted, that's not much to make a judgment from.
