Believe it or not, some don't, you still get quite a few guys who pass out watching a birth. xD

Well there's often a lot of blood and poop. I do get what's wonderful about it (in theory), but it also sounds....awful.

Nah, it's great buddy, I don't know where you got all the blood & poop from? I never seen any of that at the births, being beside your wife gives her the confidence of knowing you are both together through anything.

In fact, Liz giving birth to the first baby (Darren) she had to have a cesarean, when the birth was all over with the doctor stitching the wife up didn't know I was still there and asked me to leave, please, until he had finished, I rushed out then at 2 o'clock in the morning making phone calls and a very happy man. :)

Emergency c section for us. So a different experience there. I was comforting the missus, as that’s full on!

Yep, baby unnamed xD

We named him Kiaan.

Fun fact (debatable) coming up.

Midwife we had was called 'Chioma'. We decided on the name of Kiaan a few days later.

Anyway, about a week later we were back in the hospital. Bumped into Chioma again. She asked what the baby's name was. Said it was Kiaan, and she asked what it meant - said it was 'grace' or 'grace of God'. Weirdly, her name also means 'grace' in her language too :o

Tried to react to this but couldn't (forum wise!). How nice!
