Eco Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Neymar's pants are ripped, Paqueta's socks are ripped...what the hell is going on?
internationalsfan Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Wish this ref would just play advantage ffs. Stop faffing
Eco Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Wow - and Di Maria scores first and Argentina take the lead!
El Profesor Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Man, that was some terrible defending by Lodi. Great finish by Di María though.
Cicero Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Messi didn’t even have to do anything. That’s the real shock.
El Profesor Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Argentina is targeting our left-flank. Lodi is a bad defender, Di María looks very dangerous.
El Profesor Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Between Richarlison and Everton, we have nothing on the wings. Vinícius is needed.
Eco Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Pretty poor match so far. Was hoping for more after the Di Maria goal, but so far, Brazil has shown me little.
El Profesor Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 The silver lining of losing that final is that it would be a good wake up call to Tite. There are many players on that squad that have been chosen without deserving it.

Americans not understanding a cultural in-joke between two other nations, I'm sure wars have been started over this problem.

Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted July 11, 2021 Subscriber Posted July 11, 2021 Richarlson is a bit of a waste out on that side.
Eco Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 I'm trying to figure out why Brazil looks so off. Certainly someone in the midfield that could actually hold onto the ball would help, but they seem unable to really worry Argentina down the sides, and even in this second half, Ricarlison hasn't impressed.

My fear is that we are not ready to face the better competition in the World Cup, especially the europeans, against whom we've struggled since 2006.

Eco Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 No goal on Ricarlison after I just criticed him. Replays show he was clearly offside. Damnit man.

I suppose it being played in a virtually empty stadium ain't helping matters in terms of interest. And yeah there does seem to be a growing gulf between South American and European team, honestly think it would be good for football for a non-European team to win in 2022 Another waste from Richarlson.
Eco Posted July 11, 2021 Posted July 11, 2021 Argentina are literally not finding it necessary to mark Richarlison, he's been that bad.

Yes and no though right. Colombia and Chile have done well recently, and Argentina probably gave France their hardest game in the last World Cup. Brazil hasn't lived up to their lofty standards though. I agree though, having a non-European team make a deep run in the WC would be good to see.
