Dave Posted January 3, 2022 Posted January 3, 2022 Championship Clubs are not waiting around it seems... Nottingham Forest have offered a better financial package than QPR for Steve Cook. Middlesbrough have landed Aaron Connolly to bolster attacking options. Ethan Laird's loan to Swansea is expected to be cancelled in favour of a loan to Bournemouth. And the big one..... Daryl Dike to West Brom is happening.
Dave Posted January 3, 2022 Author Posted January 3, 2022 Ryan Giles recalled by Wolves @Bluebird Hewitt. If Cardiff lose Keifer Moore they could be in big trouble.

Add to this having no money (according to the board) and only recalling players currently on loan, we are going to have a very difficult second half of the season.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Signed Drameh on loan from Leeds. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59931876 What are we expecting @Lucas?

He's decent, we consider him to be quite highly rated. I've only seen him at this level and I'd say he needs a year's development at least to start making a real impact and challenging Ayling but I'd expect him to do well with you given the way the Championship is. Also, given he's been under Bielsa he will be well coached, very fit. Fingers crossed for him.

However, I'll warn you that he is going to Cardiff and we'll likely knacker his progression.
Dave Posted January 15, 2022 Author Posted January 15, 2022 Riley McGree has gone to Middlesbrough who seem to be building a really good team at this level.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 We've signed Tommy Doyle on loan from Man City after they recalled him. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60003984 Any good @Happy Blue?

Yes, he's a decent young player and he's played for the first team so Pep rates him highly

Bluebird Hewitt Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Heard the fee is about £5m. We might as well not bother with the rest of the season and ask to be relegated with immediate effect.
Dave Posted January 28, 2022 Author Posted January 28, 2022 Andy Carroll joining West Brom. He's been very good at Reading but I can't imagine him copeing under Valerin Ismael's pressing football.
Dave Posted January 31, 2022 Author Posted January 31, 2022 Sounds like a busy day at Bournemouth with Keifer Moore, Joe Rothwell, Siriki Dembele and Tom Lawrence on standby.

Dave Posted January 31, 2022 Author Posted January 31, 2022 Joe Rodwell looks like he's staying. They're now going after several loans: Freddie Woodman, Nat Phillips, Nico Williams and Todd Cantwell.
Bluebird Hewitt Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 We're apparently set to sign Sam Surridge on loan from Stoke while losing Moore to Bournemouth. Think losing Moore will be a loss, though he's not been anywhere near as prolific as last season and seems as though he's not interested.

Administrator Stan Posted February 1, 2022 Administrator Posted February 1, 2022 Perhaps the oddest move of the window?!
Administrator Stan Posted February 1, 2022 Administrator Posted February 1, 2022 Stoke signed Josh Maja late on too. Not too bad for their promotion push. Only 6 points off playoffs I think.
Dave Posted February 1, 2022 Author Posted February 1, 2022 Hull and Bournemouth did the most impressive business for me.
Waylander Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Newcastle for me have done the best business and should now stay up. Everton seem to have bought a number too which should also see them avoid the relegation scrap. Surprised to see Alli move to play for a former Chelsea manager yet Frank obviously sees the potential. Aubameyang leaving does not to me seem a problem for Arsenal as they have Lacazette and Nkete,.... (spelling, help) and he rarely played this season. Spurs have strengthened too though I am not familiar with the players, Conte should be. See them improving this second part of the season. Thought my own club might have strengthened the LB position, though have not.
Administrator Stan Posted February 18, 2022 Administrator Posted February 18, 2022 Quite a step down for Niasse?!
