Angel Gomes and Curtis Jones are such a good base, Gomes is really solid defensively, reads the game around him, knows when to drop into the back line, his tackles always seem to land and he is agile on the ball and can find a man between the lines.

Jones is just playing men against boys, looks so composed and is rarely outfought physically.

They've both played very well for England, but so have most of the other players in the England team. The whole team looks well balanced, but yes, Gomes and Jones have been excellent in that important central midfield position. They have a great chance to win these Euros, now that they are in the final.

Bondarenko gives Ukraine the lead against Spain in the 13th minute. In the build up to the goal, Sudakov found Mudryk down the left flank. Mudryk went on a solo run and crossed the ball low into the area, where Bondarenko was on hand to drill the ball home into the net, with a powerful shot.

Spain take the lead through Sancet, as he hit a low powerful shot from just outside the area, that took a slight deflection and beat Trubin. There have been 3 goals scored in this game already, with only 24 minutes being played. It's been pretty end to end so far.

Ukraine were so close to finding the equaliser! Mudryk did great work dribbling down the left flank and he managed to put in a cross towards Sikan. Sikan met the cross with a volleyed shot, that Spanish keeper Tenas did excellently to block. That was a big chance to equalise for Ukraine.

Oroz scores a 4th goal for Spain with another clinical shot from outside the area. Spain have been clinical with their chances this evening and look like they are on their way to meet England in the final.

How has that little shit of a sub who provoked Palmer not been given a yellow for being on the pitch?

Just need to see this out now, Spain are going to try and rile is up now they’re losing.

Hahaha fuck off Spain. That was never a penalty, if thats enough contact for a foul then football is in trouble. The fact their striker stayed down on the floor for 2 minutes holding his leg, great stuff from Trafford.

History makers, fully deserved. Reduced Spain to barely any clear cut chances and based on ours we should have won by 2 or 3, would have been a difficult loss to take if they got back in and won it from the penalty.

Fantastic stuff for England. Delighted for them, and to do it without conceding a goal is pretty special. Happy for Luke Thomas too!
