Indeed he said both parties were far apart in their assesments to German media. Although I still believe Gvardiol will sign for City in the end, there's a small odd you might be as right as you were in regards of Bellingham. It's not ready to be announced yet as they dont want clubs knowing they have just got a large sum of money and we are trying to sell Laporte and we was planning a big PR unveiling, like i said he agreed terms 4 weeks ago like Romano confirmed. i wasn't wrong with Bellingham, he failed a medical , we pulled out and i stated we had pulled out weeks before he went to Madrid so... like Fabrizio's "here we go" i've never been wrong apart from Kaka who bottled it last minute

Carnivore Chris Posted July 22, 2023 Posted July 22, 2023 Gvardiol and Ronald Araújo are the 2 defenders that I believe have the talent to go down as greats in their respective position by the time they retire.

He's going to be playing LB for us. Akanji - Stones - Dias - Gvardiol, that's some back 4

No it's happening 100%, just a matter of time. we just had a meeting with them yesterday and we still confident but we are trying to sell Laporte as we will have too many CB's when Gvardiol arrives It seems they are trying to get a replacement for Gvardiol "Leipzig returns to the charge for Castello Lukeba with a new offer: €30M (+€4M bonus). The central defender who played the Euro Espoirs with the blueberries absolutely wants to join the German club and play the LDC next season. He is also keen for his training club to receive a transfer fee and is RB Leipzig's top priority in the final month of the transfer window."
Happy Blue Posted August 2, 2023 Author Posted August 2, 2023 2nd part of his medical scheduled for today, will be holding up a City shirt before the weeks out, possibly as soon as today but more likely Thursday/Friday ..what a back 4 Walker - Stones - Dias - Gvardiol with Ake & Akanji rotating in
Happy Blue Posted August 2, 2023 Author Posted August 2, 2023 Manchester City agree £78m deal for Josko Gvardiol with RB Leipzig Man City have agreed a £78m deal for Leipzig's RB Josko Gvardiol The club see Gvardiol as a signing who can be around for the next decade It falls just shy of the record £80m fee for a defender that Manchester United paid for Harry Maguire in 2019 and has no add-ons. Manchester City see the 21-year-old as a force who can be around for the next decade and his arrival should be confirmed in the coming days. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12365263/Manchester-City-agree-78m-deal-Josko-Gvardiol-RB-Leipzig.html

Reluctant Striker Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Gvardiol does look set to be the best defender in the world. Just trying to decide how many CB's Man City have now & whether they can keep them all.
Takezo Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Good signing. I'm here just thinking what will Pep do with the defense. Ake and Stones have been great, would be a shame to remove one of the two. The only guy I think is removable is Akanji, who has been great but from time to time shows his flaws tho, but Gvardiol is a leftie, so who knows.
