Insanely unprofessional. Nor me, and he wouldn't deserve it either. I don't know if it's an agreement with the management or if it's all done without his permission. If it's the latter, I'm calling it as advice on behalf of his agent. That's what you get with someone like Joorabchian. God knows why Mahrez is employing him. This isn't doing Mahrez any favours.

But players hire him because he's a specialist at getting players to have high profile moves and getting those players a lot of money in the process (he also gets a pretty significant chunk). I'm sure it's advice of the agent, because doing things like missing training and saying you're unavailable for matches is straight out of the Kia Joorabchian playbook - my club's seen it happen now with Mascherano and Coutinho. So at some point, I think players are willing to come off as greedy fucking cunts... because it'll make them get a lot of money. But you have to truly not care about the club you're at or the fans of the club to hire him and follow his advice imo.

They don't offer a single positive thing to football yet see life changing amounts of money from it. Raiola's another. Revolting characters. Seeing you say that about Joorabchian confirms what I think, that this is his doing. It's so disappointing that he's gone up this route. I had bits of information about our squad from someone I know who knew Shakespeare, and they told me that Mahrez isn't a bad character at all, he's a really humble, but emotional character. I find it sad that that's been tainted, and sad that he's allowed it to happen.
Dave Posted February 7, 2018 Author Posted February 7, 2018 Quote The Professional Footballers' Association has offered to mediate between Riyad Mahrez and Leicester City following the Algeria winger's continued absence from training. The PFA offered assistance last week but Mahrez and the club have yet to take up the offer from the players' union. The PFA is continuing to monitor the on-going issue of absence from training. Shall we do a sweepstake on how long he will avoid training?

Funny it's a Palace fan mentioning this, I heard your old chairman Simon Jordan on the whole issue earlier and I absolutely applaud what he said. No beating around the bush, just honesty. He was excellent. I think more and more are taking our side over Mahrez.

He kicked Neil Ruddock out the club because he was fat with a crap attitude, and by that I mean he went to the training ground and told him to do one. Simon's heart was always in the right place, he just had too much money too young which left him out of his depth. If he was to go in to a club he has no association with like Coventry in the next couple of years I reckon he would do better. 2 hours ago, Stan said: Shock. Good. I think this was mentioned at the time and with the way VVD behaved at Southampton. What makes the clubs they're joining think they'll be any different if they exceed expectations and are wanted elsewhere?

What makes the clubs they're joining think they'll be any different if they exceed expectations and are wanted elsewhere? What I like about him is that he's got pretty blunt opinions on these things and he isn't afraid at all to air them. I think one reason I listen to Talksport sometimes is because although there's plenty of mundane crap on there, there are quite a few genuinely opinionated people on there who aren't scared of upsetting people with their thoughts. He didn't hold back on Gordon Taylor at all and it's a very refreshing listen. People like Taylor aren't good for the game and they need calling out. Mahrez. With him there've been small hints from our paper linking it to actual depression, although I can't help but feel they're just guessing big time now. If Man City have actually pulled out then he needs to sack his agent, get back on the pitch and make himself hard to resist going for in the summer. The longer this goes on the more damage it'll do to him.
Administrator Stan Posted February 8, 2018 Administrator Posted February 8, 2018 @Dan put this on his Twitter but it's worth sticking it here... THE FUCKING IRONY. We're not prepared to let our star asset go on deadline day and get loads of shit for it. Can't wait for Pep to receive the fans treatment....
Subscriber Dan+ Posted February 8, 2018 Subscriber Posted February 8, 2018 Nothing will be said because it doesn't fit the rhetoric. That article seems to suggest they think he'll be back on Monday and playing against Sheff Utd in the cup. Club have got this absolutely spot on from the off for me. Cannot fault Rudkin, Puel, the owners or anyone.

None of that's true, Roberts is on a season long lone at Celtic to start with, papers should be fined for printing fake news, it's becoming a joke with the shit they make up!
Happy Blue Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Yesterday Puel publicly urged Mahrez to return to training and this morning Mahrez was driven into Belvoir Drive in a blacked-out minivan before walking to the training complex hidden under a black hoodie. It is not clear whether Mahrez will be allowed to train with his City team-mates this morning as they finalise details ahead of their clash with Manchester City tomorrow, or whether he will travel with the squad this afternoon to their hotel. Mahrez and a representative who accompanied him are expected to hold talks with the City hierarchy about the situation.
Administrator Stan Posted February 9, 2018 Administrator Posted February 9, 2018 This statement is fine. Matter should be close. Knew that bit about a 'close friend' was all bullshit fabricated by Sky Sports news on deadline day. Utter bollocks from them. Quote Over the past ten days many people claiming to be my friend have spoken about me and things they know nothing about. Off the back of that many people and journalists have made assumptions without properly checking the story, so I would like to clarify that all those so-called assumptions of why I was absent are completely untrue. Myself nor my advisors have ever made any statements about that so all presumptions made are totally without foundation. Leicester City were always aware of my whereabouts and had knowledge of my thinking either directly or via my advisors. I have been a part of the Leicester City team that has achieved much success including promotion to the Premier League and being Champions of the League. My goals have always been the same and I have always given my full 100 per cent when I play for the club the fans and my teammates. Those goals remain the same today and in the future and when I am asked to be a part of the Leicester team, rest assured I will continue to give my all.’
HK85 Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 A nice PR statement to attempt to get the fans back on his side and they'll lap it all up. I can sense the pain in the words from Mahrez. He's distraught.
Subscriber Dan+ Posted February 9, 2018 Subscriber Posted February 9, 2018 He'll have people back on his side I'm sure. Back in the side from next week me thinks. Can't see him playing tomorrow.
6666 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 Don't have much sympathy for Mahrez. If you sign the contract, you don't get to act like a victim when you're not allowed to leave when you want. Only exception to that is if the club break any promises made to you when signing that contract but at the same time, you're an idiot and the team around you are too if those promises weren't put into the contract.
