This is Podolski's farewell game, which means that he will play. So I'm considering putting a lot of money on England.

Do you remember the last friendly between Germany and England? Germany went 2-0 ahead and dominated the game.

...until they brought Podolski, Schürrle and Tah (2 frauds and a kid) for Müller, Reus and Hummels. After that Germany looked like a pub team and lost 2-3.

Great goal socred by a great striker.

Neuer is out, Boateng not in the squad, Özil in poor shape, Gündogan still injured. I'm certainly putting money on England now. Does anybody know a good site?

bwin?

Thanks that site is neat.

Do Southgate's teams defend well against static play? Do the defenders usually keep the correct distances?

So retarded to have Poldi's farewell match in Dortmund. It should be in Cologne, and nowhere else.

Thought this was interesting.

England U21 squad have 206 Premier League appearances overall.

Germany U21 squad has 1,137 Bundesliga appearances overall.

Really interesting. This shows German new comings have played much competitive football then England youngsters.

The England line-up for tonight does not bode well.

Livermore is starting in central midfield, can't remember much of the rest but it's not being reacted to well on Twitter.

looks like a back three of Cahill, Keane, Smalling.

Walker and Bertrand as wing-backs (this I like).

Middle 3 of Dier, Livermore, Lallana.

And then Alli just behind Vardy?

That's what it was, perhaps not as bad as the reaction suggests.

Fair play to Southgate for giving a different formation a whirl too, England managers have been criticised for years for the same old systems etc.

Cahill should be happy.

Looks likes Ali and Lallana will have a free role in the midfield.

yep, just hope he doesn't get lambasted too much if it doesn't work. Friendlies are a time to experiment and this is what he's doing.

I thought this game was next wednesday, if it wasn't for the headline about the back 3 on the BBC website I would have missed it xD

Might not have been a bad thing if you did :D

I think we'll get turned over quite comfortably tonight.

think it'll be quite even. Neuer, Boateng and Ozil missing for Germany.

The former 2 probably the biggest misses from their squad and will be interesting to see the new formation works for Southgate.

I'm not putting money on anything then. Looks like neither side takes this serious. Any result is possible. It's aunpredictable game.

For Germany this is just Podolski's farewell match and they have to start with a complete B team and England don't want to risk their best players either.

most of our best players that are available are playing anyway xD

Think Kane and Rose would be playing usually.
