God is Haaland Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 This is Podolski's farewell game, which means that he will play. So I'm considering putting a lot of money on England. Do you remember the last friendly between Germany and England? Germany went 2-0 ahead and dominated the game. ...until they brought Podolski, Schürrle and Tah (2 frauds and a kid) for Müller, Reus and Hummels. After that Germany looked like a pub team and lost 2-3.

Neuer is out, Boateng not in the squad, Özil in poor shape, Gündogan still injured. I'm certainly putting money on England now. Does anybody know a good site? bwin?

Honey Honey Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 If we lose then Southgate should be made to do this advert again

Moderator Tommy Posted March 22, 2017 Moderator Posted March 22, 2017 So retarded to have Poldi's farewell match in Dortmund. It should be in Cologne, and nowhere else.

Cicero Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Thought this was interesting. England U21 squad have 206 Premier League appearances overall.Germany U21 squad has 1,137 Bundesliga appearances overall.

This shows German new comings have played much competitive football then England youngsters.
Toony Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 The England line-up for tonight does not bode well. Livermore is starting in central midfield, can't remember much of the rest but it's not being reacted to well on Twitter.

Walker and Bertrand as wing-backs (this I like). Middle 3 of Dier, Livermore, Lallana. And then Alli just behind Vardy?
Toony Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 That's what it was, perhaps not as bad as the reaction suggests. Fair play to Southgate for giving a different formation a whirl too, England managers have been criticised for years for the same old systems etc.

Friendlies are a time to experiment and this is what he's doing.
Honey Honey Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 I thought this game was next wednesday, if it wasn't for the headline about the back 3 on the BBC website I would have missed it

Honey Honey Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 They should bring back "B" team games so we are all aware who to expect to see.

Neuer, Boateng and Ozil missing for Germany. The former 2 probably the biggest misses from their squad and will be interesting to see the new formation works for Southgate.

It's aunpredictable game. For Germany this is just Podolski's farewell match and they have to start with a complete B team and England don't want to risk their best players either.

Smiley Culture Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Cop a load of that England side for tonight, it's like a who's who of players you never want to see get capped at a international level.
Honey Honey Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Quite enjoying the pace England play at every now and then.
