I think Monaco is the better move for him at present.

He may be delaying the inevitable transfer to a top six club, but joining Chelsea during a period of such instability could swallow up his confidence.

The Russian player Chelsea should be after is Mario Fernandez. That would be the right back position sorted out for absolute years.

Not really given we have Azpilicueta who's probably the best defender in the league

Hasn't he been playing more central with Vicmo as right wing back?

Looks to be joining Monaco. Gutted.

Surely the club aren't contempt with having just Cesc and Barkley competing in the Hamsik role?

Not unless Sarri personally sees something in Barkley? xD

When things take too long for Chelsea these things tend to happen. I knew we wouldn't get him after we delayed this for weeks.

Some bloke is stating we removed our interest after we signed Jorginho. They are completely different players? xD

In my opinion, its down to three things.

Golovin actually preferred Monaco.

We have someone else preferred or already lined up

Jorginho signing was a smoke screen, and our board are back to their pathetic transfer strategy. Mark Noble on deadline day.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is it for Chelsea in terms of outfield players. Keep Willian, Hazard & Kante. An opportunity for Reuben Loftus-Cheek and a spolid push in to the top four.

Mourinho's due a breakdown and Tottenham aren't doing anything spectacular.
