I haven't slept yet and its 5:00 AM here, so I may as well have some fun here.

1. Ethiopia and Liberia are the only 2 African Nations not colonized by Europeans. They are known as Abyssinia.

2. The highest temperature ever recorded was 56 degrees celcius in Death Valley of California. Despite the fact that El Azizia in Libya had recorded 58 a century before-hand, the Guiness World Book of Records disqualified them due to "inaccuracies in the score".

3. On the contrary, Omyakyon and Verkhoyansk are known as the 2 coldest cities on earth. Both located in the Sakha republic in eastern Russia.

4. Alert is the most northern settlement on earth, but that is said loosely because it only has a population of 62 people

5. The Pitcairn Islands government will give you your plot of land and allow you to build a house should you choose to move there. This is likely to try and attract interest for a very lowly populated settlement which is sometimes considered its own country.

They switched the international date line so all of Kiribati is in the same day, but the line is no longer straight.

23. Nepal is the only country in the world to use their time zone to the nearest quarter hour. The whole country is at UTC +5:45

24. Nepal are also the only country to use a triangular flag instead of a square/rectangle

You forgot Buenos Aires metropolitan area in 49 which is more populated than all those except for Sao Paulo at almost 15M, and 18,5M if you count the whole province of Buenos Aires + Capital Federal. Also forgot Argentina as the biggest Spanish-speaking country. I feel that car crash must have left it's sequels. :ay:

Anyways I did this with a lot of care for you all and I mentioned some could have been inaccurate, but choose to like it or not your own way :)
