Money talks, if there is a serious bid and the players wants to go Dortmund will eat their words.

Quite a strange statement to go public about really.

Well, their CEO is one of the most populist people in German football.

I quite like it. Why make it a secret? I see them doing what they say. No need to strengthen the opposition as they have done in the past. A good signal to the club and fans that they are not happy to play second fiddle. Also, if Bayern make a serious bid, so will a Premier League club. Probably a better bid as well.

Trouble is they will have to make the contract longer or - like the idiots at Gelsenkirchen - just sit and wait until their best players can leave for free at the end of short term contracts. Just look around and see who, in the last 5 years, has left 04 in such a way.  The value of them now is frightening!

Talk is cheap, Watzke's a master at that. Well see if they can keep a hold of their players from going overseas

Except Watzke didn't ever say anything like this, he only said they won't sell to Bayern, which is a completely different statement.

Im not saying he did but he implies it when hes mentioning competing with Bayern no? Pretty hard to compete if they keep up the current model in recent years.
