Playing devil's advocate, had Kepa saved all the penalties nobody would be batting an eye. In fact, the media would be slating Sarri.

They would.

They absolutely would be. If Chelsea had won, it still wouldn't have justified what Kepa did in undermining his manager.

You know as well as I, the narrative that player power rules Chelsea, would be twisted in favor of the Chelsea players had Kepa saved all the penalties. That's how fickle the media is. Can already see headlines 'Chelsea players know more than Sarri' or some bollocks like that.

I can see your point and no doubt some of the media would be doing exactly that but the conversation about Kepa and his attitude wouldn't just be dropped for what he did after the 'incident'. It's a completely different narrative if Sarri had forced Kepa off and Caballero had missed every penalty for example. THEN the media would slate Sarri.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing. Much like how Lampard, Terry, and Drogba went against AVB. Nobody batted an eye because we went on to win the FA Cup and Champions League as a result.

Mad how certain events can shift the perspective on things.

No Chelsea player showed such belligerent disrespect like that in public. There are no real comparisons it's such a rare and unprecedented event. He should go, he's looked shit anyway.

No mention of Higuain?!

Well apparently, according the Monday Night Club, a substitute is not enforceable, a play can refuse to come off and the referee is obliged to continue play if it's not completed in a timely fashion. Didn't know that.

Didn't know that either.... what a strange rule
