Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted April 4, 2019 Author Subscriber Share Posted April 4, 2019 Results - Gameweek Five Casualties (0) It's a quiet week in the gallows this week as all five of our remaining contenders live to see another day. Survivors (5) Tuesday's action began with most having used up their Barcelona and Real Madrid cards to make it this far. @binder was the first to face life outside of the two big hitters, with the still pretty big hitting Atletico Madrid delivering him to the next gameweek with a 2-0 win over Girona. @Bluewolf was up next on Wednesday, and breathed a sigh of relief when his Eibar came from behind to defeat Rayo Vallecano 2-1 at home. Thursday saw the remaining trio of @RandoEFC, @Eco and @Viva la FCB cruise through as well, as Sevilla overcame Alaves in a 2-0 success. Congratulations to all survivors, you now sit on five points for this round, with plenty of chance for more to come. Bluewolf
Are Valencia taking the piss??? 1-0 down at half time to the second from bottom side in the league.. This is turning out to be more risky than the Eibar gamble I took in the previous round...

If Betis can't get the job done we will have a five way tie breaker to decide the Last Man Standing next week.

Subscriber RandoEFC+ Posted April 7, 2019 Author Subscriber Share Posted April 7, 2019 Results - Round Four Casualties (4) The latest round of the Last Man Standing season came to an abrupt end this weekend as four of the five remaining contenders were eliminated in one go. @Eco and @Bluewolf were the first duo to exit stage right on Saturday, as Valencia succumbed to a disappointing 2-0 loss to Rayo Vallecano, following a costly penalty miss from Dani Parejo that could have given the visitors an early lead. @RandoEFC and @binder were not far behind, as Levante could only conjure up a 2-2 draw at home to Huesca. A strong showing for this cohort here, surviving 5 weeks before making a misstep and collecting 2 bonus points each for their runner-up spots, taking their respective tallies to 7 points. Survivor (1) If ever one man had a Last Man Standing pedigree, that man is @Viva la FCB, who was singing Viva Lo Celso on Sunday night as, knowing that all four of his rivals' picks had been unsuccessful, our champion for this round just needed Real Betis to defeat struggling Villarreal in the last fixture of the La Liga weekend. Lo Celso's brace got the job done for Betis, but not without a major late scare as Santi Cazorla fluffed the opportunity to steal a late point for his side from the penalty spot. Congratulations to our winner for this round, @Viva la FCB, who takes the overall lead in the league table thanks to his 9 point haul (6 weeks of survival + 3 bonus points for winning). The single bonus point for 3rd place due to all of this week's casualties sharing 2nd place goes to @The Palace Fan, whose score for this round is boosted from 3 points to 4 as a result of this weekend's events. The fifth and final round of this season's competition will be live soon.
