I hope that Chisora KOs this American and sends him back to Washington!
  2. Bloody Pieper getting sent-off early in the 11th minute helped cost them the match really.

Yes, I'll definitely be watching the fights today. AJ v Helenius will be interesting to watch for a number of reasons and I want to see where Chisora is at in his fight against Washington. I also expect Hrgovic to win his fight against McKean. Some good fights tonight.
  4. He probably won't go to Chelsea, but ultimately it's money that talks. PSG are in the middle of transition, with the likes of Neymar likely to leave them soon. So they will want to add some world class players to their squad, seeing as they are loaded with cash. Although I do agree that Man Utd are his most likely destination next season, if he doesn't end up joining Bayern this summer. Man United are actually in very good shape as a club and they are looking stronger than I have seen them in over a decade.
  5. I agree, the report suggests that if Kane is to join Man United, Chelsea or PSG, it's likely that he'll join them on a free next season.
  6. According to reports, Man United, Chelsea and PSG all want to steal the signing of Kane from under the noses of Bayern at the last minute. Harry Kane: Bayern rocked by mind-blowing hijack as Man Utd, Chelsea burst back into race; new Euro giants also in mix (teamtalk.com)
  7. Although Fortuna Dusseldorf missed out on signing the impressive Karbownik, I think they've strengthened in a more important part of their team, with the signing of Isak Johannesson. They've also structured the deal very well, by taking him on loan for this season and then having the option to buy him for a ridiculous bargain of €2 million at the end of the season. Moreover, Dusseldorf have just also sold Elione Fernandes-Neto for €3 million to RB Salzburg. Although Fernandes-Neto is a very promising prospect, selling him for €3 million to raise funds and signing the more experienced Isak Johannesson on loan, looks like very smart business. Fernandes-Neto is still only 17 and he is highly unlikely to have as much of a positive impact at Dusseldorf as Isak Johannesson is likely to. I expect Isak Johannesson to be a regular fixture in the starting 11 at Fortuna Dusseldorf this season.
  8. I think that Spurs have done the right thing in selling him now for 100 million Euros, avoiding the risk of losing him for nothing at the end of the season. Of course, the ideal scenario for Spurs was for Harry Kane to sign a new contract with them. But Kane clearly didn't agree to that. As it stands, Bayern get the world class striker they were looking for, who will guarantee them goals. Kane will undoubtedly be the new Lewandowski at Bayern. While Spurs will net a hell of a lot of money from the transfer. However, from a sporting perspective, I feel sorry to say this, but Spurs are clearly going to struggle in the league this season. With Kane gone, where are the goals going to come from? The best that Spurs can expect for next season, is to finish somewhere in mid-table.
  9. Bayern Munich have loaned out their 2 Scottish youngsters Liam Morrison and Barry Hepburn back to clubs in the UK. Defender Liam Morrison, who is now 20 years old, has been loaned out to English club Wigan Athletic. Wigan who were relegated from the EFL Championship at the end of last season, now play their football in EFL League 1. Meanwhile, 19 year old winger Barry Hepburn, has been loaned out to Scottish Championship side, Queen's Park. Queens Park narrowly missed out on promotion to the Scottish Premier League last season, when they finished in 3rd place in the Championship, level on points with 2nd placed Ayr United. Defender Liam Morrison joined Bayern Munich from Celtic in 2019, when he was a 16 year old. While winger Barry Hepburn joined Bayern Munich from Celtic in 2020, also as a 16 year old. Both players have played for Bayern's youth academy and for Bayern's reserve team since they joined the German powerhouses. Liam Morrison is a starter for the Scotland Under-21 national team, while Barry Hepburn is a regular for the Scottish Under-19 national team. A lot is expected of the two youngsters and they seem to have a very bright future ahead of them.
  10. What? Only 2 million Euros to sign him permanently at the end of the season? That's a superb deal by the sounds of it. The lad is still only 20, he is an established and regular international starter for the Iceland national team. He has been a regular for FC Copenhagen over the past two seasons and they are offering him for less than half of what they paid for him? I know that FC Copenhagen are the biggest football club in Denmark and that they have a team stacked with regional talent. But it looks like they are giving Fortuna Dusseldorf a great deal here. Having looked at clips of Isak Johannesson playing, he seems to have an impressive passing ability and great technique. I can see him improving even further at Fortuna Dusseldorf. I have a very good feeling about this deal.
  11. Well, I think that as well as what I mentioned above, the fact that FC Copenhagen spent €4.5 million to buy Isak Johannesson from Swedish side Norrkopping in 2021, when Isak Johannesson was still only 18 years old, suggests that Johannesson has some quality about him. Because that is a big transfer fee for a Danish club to shell out on a teenager. In fact, the transfer of Johannesson to FC Copenhagen, is their 3rd most expensive signing in their history. Moreover, Johannesson's transfer to FC Copenhagen, still stands as the 5th most expensive transfer fee spent by any Danish club on a player in history.
  12. That must be extremely annoying for him. It just goes to show how much power the banks and the governments have over everyone. A place taken over by radicals? Where is that? Luton?

Yeah, to be honest, Helenius is a decent choice as a warm up for AJ's much anticipated fight with Wilder. Obviously the Wilder fight has not been sorted yet, but that is who Joshua's team want him to fight next. Helenius is no mug, he's been in the ring with some top heavyweights and beaten some of them. However, AJ is in the top tier of heavyweight boxers, and he will be expected to beat him relatively comfortably. I am sure that AJ will want the KO as well, to make a statement to everyone. I agree, Whyte is an idiot and I have a suspicion he could be found guilty with this. If so, he can say goodbye to his boxing career.

Robert Helenius will replace Dillian Whyte as Anthony Joshua's opponent this Saturday. Although Helenius is not as tough as Whyte(He has already lost to Whyte in the past), he is still an experienced and credible opponent to some degree. He is also seemingly in shape to fight Joshua, as he won a fight in Finland last weekend. Helenius has beaten the likes of Samuel Peter, Kownacki and even Chisora by a split decision in the past. He is a seasoned European heavyweight. However, one still expects Joshua to win this fight comfortably. Joshua will want to make a statement in this fight in front of the home fans in London and I expect him to look for the KO. In other fights on the undercard, I expect Chisora to defeat Gerald Washington. It would be good to see Chisora win this fight and add another win to his long career.
  16. He is the son of Joey Guðjónsson, who was an important player for Burnley, Leicester City, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers during the 2000's. He also played for Huddersfield Town during the 2010 to 2012 seasons. He retired as a player in 2017. His son Isak Bergmann Johannesson looks like a very promising player. Still only 20 years old, but is already an important player for top Danish side FC Copenhagen. Furthermore, he already has 19 international caps for Iceland and he has scored 3 goals for them, making his international debut at only 17 years old. Not a bad feat for the young midfielder. I can't say that I have seen him play much, but the fact that he is a regular for both FC Copenhagen and Iceland at only 20 years of age, suggests that he could be a very promising signing for Dusseldorf.
  17. Senne Lynen moves to Werder Bremen | SV Werder Bremen Werder Bremen have officially announced the signing of Belgium midfielder Senne Lynen today from Union Saint Gilloise. Union SG finished 2nd in the Belgian league last season, level on points with the winner of the league Genk. They also had a decent run in the Europa League last season. But I am not sure how good midfielder Senne Lynen actually is. It will be interesting to see how well he plays for Werder Bremen and how he develops at the club next season.

What a shame, I was looking forward to AJ knocking Whyte out again. It's very short notice for a credible opponent to be called up. Either way, AJ must be really frustrated and annoyed with this piece of news.
  19. Swansea City buy Ukrainian centre forward Mykola Kukharevych from French club Troyes. Kukharevych joined the top tier Ligue 1 club Troyes in 2021, as a 20 year old. He was loaned out the same season by the Ligue 1 club to top tier Belgium club OH Leuven. However, for the 2022/23 season, Kukharevych was loaned out to Scottish Premier League club Hibernian. Although Kukharevych missed 12 league matches through injury for Hibernian, he managed to make 15 league appearances for Hibs and he scored 5 league goals for them as well. Having just turned 22 this July, he now finds himself at Swansea City, having transferred permanently from Troyes. After a relatively impressive year for Hibernian last season, joining Swansea City seems a wise move for the youngster, as he seeks to improve his development as a footballer. The Championship should be an ideal place to improve his game. Kukharevych is one of many young Ukrainian forwards touted as having a very promising future. Except the other top highly rated young Ukrainian forwards like Viunnyk, Sikan, Vanat and Supryaha all ply their trade with either Shakhtar Donetsk or Dynamo Kyiv, the two elite clubs in Ukraine. Kukharevych instead, has only ever within Ukraine, played for modest Ukrainian clubs, until he left for Troyes two years ago. His success at Hibernian last season has earned him this move to Swansea City where he will seek to improve his reputation as a player even further. Kukharevych is a strong centre-forward, who is good in the air and has an eye for goal. He is also known for his work-rate. Swansea City manager Michael Duff had high praise for Kukharevych and so has Vincent Kompany in the past, saying that Kukharevych has all the attributes to become a top player. I think that it will be exciting to see how the youngster performs in the Championship this season.
  20. Looking at your squad, I think that you've probably got the strongest squad in the Championship. I'd be surprised if I don't see you guys bounce straight back into the Premier League next season.
