  1. I was thinking the same a few weeks back, as I wanted to discuss the situation at his club. He has not been online for a while, but he had some interesting stories about Schalke and German football in general.
  2. That's an embarrassing result, it's one thing to lose to Japan, but it's another thing to get trounced by them at home. I know it was only a friendly, but the team Germany put out was a strong one. I am not convinced with Havertz being the man up top. I think Germany lack a Harry Kane or a Lewandowski up-front. A world class centre forward who can guarantee loads of goals. Gone are the days of Miroslav Klose or Klinsmann before him.

I just watched Gauff defeat Sabalenka in the US Open final in 3 sets. Gauff has been excellent during this tournament and deserved the win. But you have to feel for Sabalenka, with the 24,000 crowd all cheering Gauff on with every point she won. They were literally cheering and screaming with joy with every point that Gauff won, while sounding disappointed when Sabalenka won her points. That must be extremely off putting, when two top tennis players are so closely matched. The crowd are in very close proximity to the players, so their cheering must be deafening. I think the US players definitely have an advantage in that sense. It was the same in Sabalenka's last game against Keys, another US tennis player, except Sabalenka managed to beat her. Congratulations to Gauff though, she looks like a great tennis player, she pulls off some great shots and has the power in her serves as well.

Yeah, Chris Eubank Jnr got his revenge, he completely dominated and demolished Liam Smith in the ring tonight. He won every round and landed so many punches on Liam, before the final TKO won him the fight. Eubank looked really good tonight with that win.
  5. You must have seen him that season that he impressed at Gladbach. Arrogant or not, all Osnabruck will be concerned about, is if he can consistently play at the high levels that tempted a giant club like Bayern to buy him.
  6. Ukrainain international midfielders Ruslan Malinovskyi and Vikor Kovalenko have both made loan moves to Serie A clubs. Ruslan Malinovskyi has joined Genoa on loan from French side Marseille. While Viktor Kovalenko has joined Empoli on loan from Atalanta.
  7. Schalke have signed experienced Czech defender Tomas Kalas on a free transfer from Bristol City and they've also signed young English left-back Derry John Murkin from Volendam. Kalas, who played every minute of the Czech Republic's Euro 2020 campaign in the summer of 2021, which saw them reach the quarter-finals of that competition, is an excellent defender. Kalas has played 31 times for the Czech national team and he has scored 2 goals for them. The former Chelsea defender, was a huge favourite at Bristol City, just as he was very popular when he played for Fulham. He is a great addition to Schalke's defence. Murkin is a much younger player, who was highly rated when he played in Holland. It remains to be seen if he can adapt to German football, but he seems like another promising player.

Well I hope that you enjoyed the fight. Usyk dominated as usual, with another master class performance, where he dictated the fight against the bigger man and where Usyk was always on the front foot. Usyk clearly hurt Dubois bad in the 8th round and Usyk's KO of Dubois in the 9th round at that point was a formality. Any cries from Frank Warren and Don Charles that that punch in the 5th round wasn't a low blow, smack on desperation. They need to stop whinging and take defeat like men. Their boy Dubois was comprehensibly outclassed. It was clearly a low blow, as the punch was below Usyk's navel. Usyk won every round of that fight against Dubois, with the exception of maybe that 5th round, as it was disrupted by that desperate low blow. Dubois was simply outclassed by Usyk, we all saw who the superior fighter was. Usyk is the destroyer of top British boxers. Usyk has already demolished Bellew, Chisora, Joshua(twice!) and now he has KO'd the big punching Dubois in the 9th Round. There's one more British heavyweight who needs to stop running away from the Ukrainian Cossack, he needs to stop making excuses and either put up or shut up.
  9. Yevgeny Prigozhin on passenger list of plane in fatal crash, says Russia | Yevgeny Prigozhin | The Guardian The reports are that Prigozhin has died in a plane crash. I think that it is quite obvious that it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. The Russian authorities this time seeking to vary their methods of eliminating opposition, not the usual falling out of a window accident or lacing someone's breakfast with Novichok.

I am sorry, but that's just hilarious. Out of all the ways a person would want to distract a tennis player, making a bee buzzing sound is just ridiculous. She has no shame.
  11. Bierhoff has held that position for ages, it's nice to see a new face take charge and it's nice to see a woman get that position for the very first time.

Very true, Helenius was much more cautious throughout this fight, compared to how he was in the few minutes he had in the ring with Wilder. He walked into the Wilder punch and was unconscious for a few minutes, I think he was looking to avoid a similar outcome against Joshua, by being much more cautious in his approach. But ultimately Joshua broke him down patiently and methodically. Then of course Joshua went in for the killer punch, which even Helenius's retreats couldn't avoid. I think the possible Joshua v Wilder fight will be closer than a lot of people think. You have a lot of people saying Wilder is just too powerful for Joshua. But Joshua is the better boxer and he proved against Helenius, that the power in his punch isn't far off that of Wilders. It should be a very intriguing fight, if and when they finally get round to arranging it.

Good to see Helenius back on his feet after taking that punch. Credit to Helenius for taking this fight at late notice as well. For Joshua it's probably Wilder next.

Joshua KOs Helenius in Round 7, what a killer punch!

Pretty even 1st round. If this goes the 12 rounds I think AJ should feel disappointed. AJ should be looking for the KO before the 11th round at the very least. He should get a relatively swift win. Having said that, it would be hilarious if Helenius wins through a lucky KO, because he's certainly not going to get a shock win on points.

Chisora will win on points, but I don't think he will get the KO now.

Hatton has got nothing on what his father had. Fisher was always going to win against his opponent and Hrgovic made meal of his fight. Chisora wearing pink for some reason, but I fully expect him to get the KO in this fight.
