If you're talking about speaking "de vos" some parts in Peru also use it. Mostly in the Andes. Cajamarca apparently talks like that, according to my godmother in Peru who is from there originally. It's few and far between though. In Cusco, Huancayo and Arequipa they don't speak like that but still have a different accent compared to Lima.

Yeah, the paisa accent in Medellin!

Salzburg losing.

Yay Argentine accents alright!

@Berserker my dad lived in Colombia (Barranquilla) about 10 years before I was born, during their darkest era. He told me he's felt safer in Colombia than in Peru. And I don't ever feel in danger in Peru, while I use common sense! That said, Peru was also in a bit of a civil war in the late 80's/early 90's (not really official but it was basically that). So hard to compare. In terms of crime though Colombia has it but is overall safer than Peru is as a whole from what I gather. I haven't been in over 15 years, but would like to go back. Just use common sense, go in groups and you'll be OK @Carnivore Chris

Apparently it's back on June 25th. Brazil being a mess, water is wet.

What's even more mad about this... apparently they were sitting in front of us I do wonder though if it meant we got lucky and didn't get it, or if we did and were asymptomatic. If this does create immunity by chance, then I prefer the latter. That would mean that my mother and brother would have gotten it though but didn't most likely.

The Rio de Janeiro government decided to stop the Carioca from happening again. Considering they got 55k cases yesterday, no surprise.

Referees/VAR in the Premier League
Mpache replied to Happy Blue's topic in Premier League - English Football Forum
Interesting. I know Clattenburg isn't a great ref from what I hear and has a lot of flaws himself, but the fact one of the referees speaks out about it says a lot. He did admit there were highs and lows to the system though. Which I think is the fairest way to put it. https://worldfootballindex.com/2020/06/mark-clattenburg-on-var-goal-line-technology-sheffield-united-hawk-eye/ -
Looks like Fluminense will be powerless to stop the Carioca from happening, as they are training regularly again. Unless they rebel at the kick off whistle on Monday. We'll see. Selfishly I'm excited to see Fernando Pacheco again.

I just learned that on the humanitarian plane back to Canada from Peru, there were 2 people with COVID-19. Scary shit.

Stay safe mate

Flamengo won their game 3-0 against Bangu. Rocha, Henrique and De Arrascaeta scored the goals. Now it's a matter of if this will last, because some clubs are rebelling. I'm all for football to come back, but it does seem a bit too early in Brazil...

Brazilian football is back (amazingly)!

Same guy who said Lima was in the Philippines I think

Red Bull Salzburg go into the half with a 0-0 away to Wolfsberger. The former had a couple of chances always gotten out by either the keeper or a defender (with last ditch defending). Wolfsberger nearly scored an overhead though, which would have been a glorious goal.

So Peru has gone to the dogs with the virus running rampant. Firstly, the deaths are stacking up. We are getting less new cases per day, but we just reached 196 deaths a day last night. Still a small number in serious condition, but I think it will go up in the next few days. 7000 confirmed deaths in the country so far. Secondly, people have lost faith in Vizcarra. It's not his fault because he tried his best but the people have no discipline or class. So the majority have lost faith in this whole lockdown because he's at a loss of what to do. As a result, politics are going to take a dive. Some of my family members fearing this will affect the country for years to come and become the new Venezuela. The virus is starting to become the least of our concerns and will rather be a detonator for more problems in the future. I'm really getting concerned. I hope the ones earning power and manipulating the population just results in another Ollanta Humala, who said he would do all these things and he ends up not doing so.

Wow - I'm tardy to the party. Watching a few 3. Liga games involving Sarpreet Singh and was wondering why he wasn't in the squad the last 2 games. Then realized he was on the bench for Bayern. I'm very stupid for not guessing it, with those stats he's GOT to be considered.

Haha, maybe that was more entitlement than I thought!

A bit of a story with me and Sarpreet Singh, who currently has 7 goals and 5 assists for Bayern II. @Viva la FCB @nudge @Michael

@Toinho @Stan I wrote this piece back in 2018 and made a thread on it on Twitter just now. I think it's aged OK to be honest. I made 2 golden picks here, 2 good ones, 2 awful ones and the rest were OK. http://outsideoftheboot.com/2018/10/04/talent-radar-a-leagues-10-young-players-to-watch-in-2018-19/

So is the miss Cannabis meme dead now with @Lucas' picture?

I wouldn't panic yet. South Korea had a second wave which died very quickly (the whole night club fiasco). With the right measures China can stop this. Not only that but no flights in and out of the country (at least not to certain countries like Canada, USA and some parts of Europe. I know they are open to Russia and a few others). I sincerely hope countries are paying attention to this in case it happens elsewhere. I suspect they will at least in places that were particularly hit hard like Italy and Spain. Same with the UK as Boris could have died from this virus. I have no faith in the USA though. One thing that bothers me is the "I don't believe anything from China" people. They didn't believe them when they had a low number of cases, so why believe them when they get a rise in cases? Personally I believed it the whole time as I have a friend in China that told me everything was fine a few weeks ago. I just think those people wanted to believe what they wanted to hear. Anyways fingers crossed this new strain is weaker. If it's as weak as the Swine Flu then maybe places can begin to open up again safely. Even researching that will take a long time.

While there is no confirmation about whether it creates immunity at the moment, what is known is that in Dybala's case, he didn't contract it 4 times. He was diagnosed 4 times, which is totally different.
-
@...Dan Regarding your post, I can definitely see that even without the research. I just think about examples such as Dybala, who the press said got the disease 4 times when really it never left. Same with Juan Carlos Bazalar in Peru, he's been diagnosed with it 3 times but is asymptomatic. It's not that he got it again, more that it just didn't leave. And then there's @El Profesor who says he thought his Uncle was cured but it came back. It's very tricky. There's a lot of scaremongering and media sensationalism about it being re-infection but most of it was clickbait as there's no proof (yet) that it was re-infection. Usually within the piece it says "the virus didn't leave, even though he was asymptomatic" or some shit.
