I know this happens a lot with crime but a bloke that has been caught 5 times carrying a knife clearly has no regard for the law or it's consequences on others.. As the judge pointed out he was utterly unable to learn from his previous convictions... Judge complains sentencing guidelines were 'no help' as he jails knifeman, 21 (msn.com) If I was in charge I would bring in the 'Yakuza Rule' Every time you are caught carrying an offensive weapon like a sword or a knife they have to lose a finger.. I would let them choose which one.. For people found carrying firearms I would remove the trigger finger first

It's never been an easy job but with onside monitors and VAR in use at least if they make an informed decision and it's right a ref would be respected for that even if the losing side are not happy with the result, As it stands though they still come in for criticism for having all that technology and not using it properly...
