  1. The way they do it in Russia is so much more efficient than the US.. Over there they normally get the result before the polls are even open...
  2. Crazy to think we are all pinning our hopes on a bloke with senile dementia....
  3. Of course they do but with so many non essential shops and businesses shutting you would expect a drop off on the amount of people travelling like earlier in the year but it seems the same and if it stays roughly the same what is the point in having a lockdown??? You can't have an effective lockdown only by name if people are being crammed into trains and buses without enforcing the use of masks.. I can't think of a worse confined area than a train or a busy underground station...
  4. When I left the house this morning it was proper creepy quiet.. a slight mist floating around as well that was straight out of a Hammer Horror film then I remembered it was the first day of lockdown... Then later on I was looking at the photos on the web of all those people crammed on the trains this morning some with masks, some without, some half on and half not etc and wonder how we are supposed to be containing the spread with people crammed in these trains like that everyday.. It's not like it was before with hardly anybody using public transport, it's as if a large majority of the public are still going about their normal routine.. We have had 5 cases now at our place and they are shitting themselves in case it goes up and we get shut down so we are being required to stand guard near the entrance and exits to make sure everyone is complying fully with the rules because someone went and told the boss upstairs that people were not following the rules downstairs and that we didn't care about it which couldn't be further from the truth in reality... I did catch one tonight coming down the stairs from the office without his on and of all people it was the Hygiene Manager, talk about setting a piss poor example... I said "mask on please," he said "it's in my bag" so told him it needed to be on his ugly face all the time he is on site which he took great exception too... I told him if he didn't like it he should go and complain to the boss..
  5. So is that right that if Michigan and Nevada come through for Biden it's pretty much game over for Trump or will they still have to wait until all the mail votes have been concluded first??

Well with 3 recommendations I must be missing out... Have to give that a try then, @nudge we do have a decent Chinese restaurant round the corner from us that we order from on a regular basis so will have to look at the menu and give it a go..

  13. The entire population of the COVID-19 hotspot city of Liverpool will be regularly offered a coronavirus test in a pilot scheme using the armed forces. The city, which has been under Tier 3 restrictions for nearly three weeks and has one of the highest coronavirus rates in England at 366.4 cases per 100,000, volunteered for the scheme, which will start on Friday. The scheme will use new, rapid turnaround tests, with 2,000 members of the military working alongside NHS staff, and everyone living or working in the city offered repeat testing - even if asymptomatic. Residents and workers will be tested using a combination of existing swab tests, as well as 500,000 new lateral flow tests, which can rapidly turn around results within an hour without the need to be processed in a lab. People will be able to book a test online, by walking into a test centre, or by invitation from the city council. Tests will be carried out at new and existing test sites, using home kits, in hospitals, care homes, schools, universities and workplaces.
  14. Seems legit.... You know it's real because you can't tell if Jackson is a man or a woman which is par for the course over there...
  15. Yea it is a bit of a worry... There doesn't seem to be any light at the end of tunnel as things stand so it could just be a case of having high and low periods of infection for the foreseeable future unless there is a breakthrough somewhere... Meanwhile Governments are going to have to find ways of supporting it's people in getting through it.. From an article I was reading earlier it seems as though the US has basically just given up hope of controlling it at all... I don't like to think of the long term damage that could do over there but worse still if countries don't tighten up on what is already a very restrictive travel corridor then it could just continue to spread across the globe especially if they are not trying to keep some level of control over it... Just shows how ill prepared the world was for just such an event
  16. Johnson needs to stop repeatedly calling the Track and Trace 'NHS' it's run by Serco and headed by that Dido Harding woman... I was reading the other day that the government have spent roughly 143Mill on various consultants since this broke in the early part of the year and it's been nothing but a scandalous cash grab for all those favoured in the circle... He is also blaming the public for not doing enough isolation but that is not helped with a troubled track and trace system even if we do have our fair share of idiots... If this second lockdown fails to bring the virus under some sort of control I really don't see what the plan is?? The longer it goes on the worse things will get for those struggling in jobs and businesses and for the mental well being of everyone involved..
  17. I also see they have started boarding up places in preparation... these are just such crazy times we are living in

  20. One of them being no fucker could take a decent shit because they had no fucking toilet paper in the house!!!
  21. Recent results have shown some stability especially at the back, can't knock it but Silva and Mendy have managed to calm things down a bit and we don't seem so reckless with our defending as we were before, I won't say we don't have our moments because we do like against Burnley where they could easily have gone 1-0 up early on but Mendy is decisive in his decision making and that's the difference.. He doesn't hesitate to come out and make himself as big and as difficult to get past as he can, also very agile and one would wonder how many of those might have sneaked past Kepa if he had been in goal.. His presence along with Silva inspires some badly needed confidence in that area.. Clean sheets have been the most obvious improvement even if they have been against opposition we could be expected to beat and we are slowly moving from goalless draws to getting some fluidity up front to go along with it.. I won't get carried away just yet because like I said the teams we are beating right now are those we should be beating but the testers are always the likes of Spurs, City and the Liverpool's or anyone else that is in pretty good goal scoring form.. All the new players are settling in ok and slowly building up an understanding with each other and hopefully this will just get better as the season goes on.. I see Pulisic got injured in the warm up?? I do hope he is not going to be our new Arjen Robben, blessed with game changing skill but as fragile as a china plate
