  1. You're offended by nothing because what you believe in doesn't make sense at all.
  2. The accent makes the Bond. I wouldn't be able to stop laughing if Bond spoke like Alfie
  3. @Goku de la Bocayou literally care more about the economics of Disney and it's supposed politicising of content than people losing rights in Argentina, and they are that isn't even really up for debate. Really reflect on that, mate.
  4. Who gives a fuck if they lose money because they sure as hell aren't. They literally own everything, it's a massive conglomerate.
  5. It isn’t a translation. The Roman myths and the Greek myths have divergences. I was also being facetious
  6. Is Hercules a politicised movie because the cartoon is based on the Greek mythos but uses the Latin name!? He should be named Heracles.
  7. Mulan is also a (may have been) real person, kinda in that Robin Hood vein of uncertainty. The lack of a character arc and bad writing isn’t a politicisation of a character. The character defying social and cultural norms is, once again the character is already more political than whatever the controversy is.
  8. Everything is political. Everything is ideological. the little mermaid is a patriarchal story about an oppressed young woman that trades her self expression for self determination to marry someone outside her social group. how is making the character black politicising it? Being black isn’t a political statement
  9. Everything is politics, everything is ideology, but not all ideology is subversive and is trying to lie or trick you. Explain to me, what in the representation of the little mermaid being black is a harmful or dangerous political statement?
  10. Racial purity is a dangerous fantasy. Being concerned about the skin colour of a fictional character is brain rot. There is a discussion that can be had about accurate representation of historical figures in fictional settings but this isn’t it. This thread is reactionary conservatism based in irrational fears.
  11. Read the Clinton kill list.
  12. How in any capacity is anything you wrote a positive for anyone? Very fascist tendencies.
  13. Brics build houses dickhead, not thoughts and prayers. Facts don’t care about your feelings.
  14. Crocs are fast on land but they have really poor agility, I’m slow with poor agility, so all I have to do is die after thinking I can zig zag a croc
  15. Two Aussie brothers died in a a bomb strike on Lebanon
  16. Brian is just pragmatic critical support while @Dr. Gonzowe are being idealists. I do stand by my earlier statement of fuck Milei and people like him.
  17. Poverty in Argentina has already increased because he fired like 30% of government workers and rolled back social programs.
  18. Mate Libertarians do nothing but commit crimes against other’s liberty, it’s the fundamental flaw in their ideology. Libertarianism instantly collapses when it is juxtaposed to another Libertarian.
  19. What is his economic plan besides firing a lot of people and privatising industry? Argentina’s economy has already been decidedly worse since he took over, record inflation under Milei already.
  20. Look I don’t disagree that Peru is better than what it was under Garcia but my point isn’t that it has improved or not it is that Peru should be in an even better state than it is. Fujimori is able to get away with massive theft against the Peruvian people because the scraps that were afforded were better than Garcia’s. Mate it is not okay that Fujimori embezzled, it is not okay that trillions of mineral wealth were taken by foreign multinats, it doesn’t matter that he served time, that won’t change how Fujinomics will shape future Peruvian generations. Losing all that wealth for stability will only harm Peru in the future. Imagine if even 10% of the mining was taxed, how much more money Peru would have over a decade. Argentina is in bad shape, and the shape has gotten worse since Milei came in. I really don’t think the sheer desperation of the Argentine people means they deserve a crypto-fascist, they don’t. If Argentina comes out the other side in good shape excellent but to me I just don’t think someone with his nonsensical economic and social views can save that country. The cognitive dissonance is too strong, ‘I believe in total freedom, but don’t protest or I will send in the cops’ ‘You’re body is your right, unless you are a woman’
