  1. ‘Woke’ doesn’t do well in South Africa because it’s a Black American cultural phenomenon of knowing the implicit biases that the USA has against Black people. It has nothing to do with homosexuality.
  2. You don’t know what ‘secular’ means. You are talking about separation of church and state A politician making legislation based on their personal religion means that the legislation is not secular. We aren’t talking about organised religious mandates.
  3. ‘We have problems but we moved on from that’. Since you’ve so much to say on every other country maybe we can all talk about yours? @Rucksackfranzose @Dr. Gonzo @Gunnersaurus https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2013/12/06/chart-of-the-week-how-south-africa-changed-and-didnt-over-mandelas-lifetime/
  4. A state isn’t secular when religion is indirectly and directly determines policy. ‘In God We Trust’ and watchmaker analogy founding fathers, how is the USA secular?
  5. It’s economic policy, right is deregulation of the economy in favour of the individual and left is regulation of the economy for the collective, to put it bluntly. Conservatism is maintaining status quo which for the west is the former.
  6. You are very interested in the purity of conservatism of history and customs for a South African.
  7. Yes, they are conservative because they are conserving the status quo. Read a book.
  8. So unelected bureaucrats make it that neocons aren’t conservatives and they follow the money like they always have?
  9. “LABOUR and TORIES same because DIVERSITY. Fucken ethnics ruining elections”. - the Plato of our time having escaped the cave.
  10. This post is like saying scarlet isn’t a shade of red.
  11. What is the part that you’re questioning, Nikki Haley being a fucken moron, or raping slaves?
  12. I think you’re strongly underestimating Trump’s popularity. He is far more popular than Clinton or Biden ever was, yes it’s true that he lost the popular vote but the people that vote for Trump vote because of him, but for the Democrats they aren’t popular at all and get vote based purely on opposition, instead of favour.
  13. But it doesn’t matter because he has the popularity to win elections with how the electoral college works.

    Cricket

It is ludicrous they even entertain banning this shot. Batsmen step up their game to changing conditions, maybe bowlers should too? I don’t think it is a bias, I think it is just inherently different, because bowling is the active mode in cricket, and batting is the reactive. Bowling controls the sport so it’s scrutinised to a higher degree.

    Paris Olympics 2024

I'm pretty sure that's always been a feature of the Olympics, mate. They are always adding and removing sports. https://www.topendsports.com/events/summer/sports/changes.htm

    I can’t stand the Olympics.

    Wrestling

Not really. I’m more into wrestling socially or for nostalgia purposes. I haven’t watched since Wrestlemania. People love AEW but I never got into it

    Wrestling

I've been to a bunch of WWE shows but the last show I went was just before Wrestlemania, the show where the Rock bashed up Cody in the parking lot and was swearing a lot.
  20. There is too much of everything, every niche is fulfilled and people share less generalised cultural experiences.
  21. These guys think Trump works.
  22. I know, I didn’t say that you did, nor was I comparing the two. I was just pointing out that support can and will happen regardless, it happens all the time, that is the celebration of the misery of others.
