  1. https://x.com/muhammadshehad2/status/1775137325636317569?s=20 This is genuinely shameless & deserves a real response from the international community. The support of the west and having the right to defend themselves as a country doesn’t give them the right to murder aid workers to discourage other NGOs from providing aid.
  2. I feel like if anything Mudryk would scare off other premier league sides from paying a steep asking price for a promising young Ukrainian. Mudryk has potential sure, but at 23... I'd say he looks some way off a lot of other younger players who have potential and do offer more consistency and quality. Look at Palmer at Chelsea, for example. Less than half the price of Mudyrk... and he's 1.) looking like he's got more potential than Mudryk, 2.) is performing at a much higher level than Mudryk. Not to say that Mudryk is a particularly bad player or anything - I just think he made a big step up and the prices Arsenal and Chelsea thought were reasonable now look like a massive overinflation in value; I think he's a player that sort of tells a cautionary tale to other clubs in England about spending over the odds on a player from that league and expecting the transition to be seemless. It's not so much that I can't see us spending that much on one player. I think we'll be in for very few players this summer, assuming we keep our big names, and chances are the players we bring in will be very expensive. It's just that at 21 years old and in a position where we've already got several promising young players, some of whom have made their debuts this season... it doesn't really make sense to pay anywhere near that amount for a player that's likely going to need a lot of time to adapt to the league. Harvey Elliott, for instance, is only 20 years old - so he's younger. He plays in the same sort of position and role. And he's already got a shitload of appearances for us and is developing nicely this season. Does it make sense to spend a lot of money, slow his development (and the development of other younger players like Carvalho, Koumas, etc) when we've got other areas of the squad to address?
  3. Probably the worst thing that's happened to the club in it's history, no?
  4. That is an absolutely insane fee for someone who's only played in the Ukrainian league tbh. I have serious doubts about there being anything in this. It's not really a position where I'd say we've got a particularly big need to strengthen either.
  5. What? It's Trump seething that RFK is polling well amongst his base, rather than getting traditional democrat voters to just like him because he's a Kennedy. Then a pic of a meme face of a guy seething and crying behind a happy face emoji mask to reflect Trump's hilarious post.
  6. Israel strikes IRGC run consulate in Syria. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-68708923 Dead sepahis are a good thing for Iranians - but considering the fact the Iranian embassy next door is completely untouched, while Israel pretty precisely took out that IRGC den... it really does demonstrate that Israel is more than capable of using precision strikes to target who they want to target. I don't think that's a good look considering the way they've gone about striking Gaza.
  7. Brighton are dangerous on the counter though. They really weren't up to much in the second half when we played them just now, but in that first half they were a constant threat due to their counters. You're a good side, but I do think your biggest weakness is fragility at the back - so in that regard Brighton are a pretty dangerous side for you because they're good enough to create chaos in the back without having too much of the ball. Still winnable for you though, for sure. They've got their own fragility at the back as well.
  8. Yeah there’s still a ways to go and all 3 teams are capable of either going on a run or dropping points that will make or break their league hopes. We have a minor advantage right now, but there’s still a lot of football to be played.
  9. They’re looking the more useful side in attack though. Not really an exciting match but I think Arteta’s tactics have done a good job at keeping City quiet for the most part.
  10. I've done it without realising I've done it. Which I think means I've probably spent a good amount of money at the pub/bar, so it's probably not that bad of a thing to do.
  11. I'm pretty sure you're meant to take whatever you want from hotels.
  12. Weird you read socialist news. It's a bit bollocks though because the only ballots that a political party can control are primary ballots... and those are for voters to pick who will represent that party. So yeah, you wouldn't see third parties on that - because that's not what the point of those ballots are. Those are for parties to pick their candidates. For the general election, each state sets the rules for what lets you get on the ballot - not any party. So it's just some made up bullshit to try to equate America to Russia to convince the lowest information US voters and foreigners who have a weird obsession with US politics but refuse to have any real sort of understanding about US politics.
  13. Waxing lyrical over a 1-1 draw? Doubt it mate. The media just sucked off United for their brilliant FA cup performance where we were honestly pretty shite. I think obviously the media are going to talk more about United, they’re a media darling club. But at the end of the day that was both a dominant performance from you and a dogshit performance from United. But I think if you’re saying that’s arguably one of the most dominant performances all season, I’d say it’s pretty easy to argue if United scored first.
  14. This referee doesn’t deserve kneecaps let alone a salary
  15. Quansah needs subbing off at half time, definitely his worst performance for us. He and Bradley have been abysmal lol.
  16. I think whoever comes in will be afforded patience as long as it’s not an unmitigated disaster like when Hodgson was our manager. The one thing I feel confident going for always is having Michael Edwards back. But I think us being worse next season is almost inevitable. We’ll be going from one of the best managers in football to someone who’s going to be a lot more of an unknown quantity.
  17. Yeah but there’s very few managers who are as good in the CL as Ancelotti, let alone with teams as good as the ones he’s won CLs with. Idk it’s hard to feel excited about any of the names we’ve been linked with really. They all seem like pretty massive downgrades. I’m not too optimistic about the near future.
  18. He’s become a lot more pragmatic compared to his first few seasons with us & we’ve been better for it. He’s a hell of a lot more pragmatic than Rodgers ever was for us. I think a good manager should be able to have an adaptable general philosophy than a rigid philosophy they will stick to even when it clearly isn’t working all the time.
