I watched the first 3 last week and couldn't get into it. Might go back to it at some point.
Watched the second series of Time on iPlayer the other night. That was good.
Are they stopping all kinds of gambling sponsorship (I don't know whether this was just Premier League or across the leagues) in a couple of years or is it just the shirt sponsorships?
I wonder if we see Gomez used there at times while Robertson is out? The LB role has changed a bit with TAA's role changing. Like you, I don't really trust Tsimikas defensively and Robertson has been more about staying back a bit more and tucking into a back three when Trent moves into midfield. Can't remember the last time we saw Gomez play LB but it's a position he started off in for us when he first signed and if he's effectively becoming a third CB I don't see why he can't play there. Klopp's words today suggest he's not solely relying on Tsimikas anyway.
You will never get that as you say, you'll never get it on a local scale either. There will always be someone to take a season ticket holders place at a club like Man Utd and you only have to look at one of those protests the other year (during lockdown I think) where they're calling for a boycott of sponsors and there's a load of United fans sporting their brand new replicas.
Why does the VAR say 'off' if they're going with the narrative that he thought the onfield decision was onside?
VAR: Check complete, check complete. That's fine, perfect (showing Diaz is clearly onside). Off.
Update on the Hello Fresh thing. Another one has turned up today (didn't think she was that stupid) I've contacted the company and they've basically said she needs to get in touch to change the address or get the deliveries stopped. Not much I can do then...
Haha I'd not thought about that scenario to be fair so something worth thinking about as I suppose she could do. I'll see what happens next week. It surely won't happen for a third week
So what other options would I have apart from letting the food rot the in box? If I wasn't using it I'd need to open it to get the food out and put it in the food recycling anyway..
You'd have thought so wouldn't you.
This was the one that did the dirty on me last year, you may or may not recall.
So last week we had a Hello Fresh box delivered to my mum's, addressed to my ex. Told the delivery driver we hadn't ordered it but he said as it's fresh food he can't take it back and has to deliver to the address he's told. So I took it in. Knew my ex wouldn't come round for it and I have no way of contacting her so I used the meals. Thought she would have realised her error and changed the address. Anyway yesterday another Hello Fresh box is left on the doorstep Again she's not come around for it so I'm gonna use it again.
What would you do if another turns up next week? Should I be contacting the company to tell them of the error? The way I'm looking at it is it's her fuck up so don't really have to do anything. She will surely realise now though that she hasn't changed her address on her account now she's had two deliveries not turn up?
That 2004-6 side when they played 4 in midfield to accommodate Beckham was silly really. They could have gone with Scholes lampard and Gerrard as a 3. I suppose that's with hindsight though as 442 was the standard in those days.
And yeah completely different players. Gerrard could do just about anything whereas Scholes admits he couldn't have won games on his own
A quick Google suggests he's on around £65k a week. Ridiculous if true. No wonder no one that's his level will take him permanently or he doesn't want to leave permanently.
Hicks and Gillett didn't really get any bad press until it was almost too late. The fans protesting got loads of shit, even from our own. I remember one of the SOS lads arguing with Jim White on Sky Sports News about why we were protesting
I find it difficult these days to get worked up about them not spending to keep up with those who have bottomless pits of money to be honest. My point was that Liverpool waiting to see how a player does elsewhere before committing to spending big money on them is nothing new.
