  1. But in that, where's the help to house an innocent Palestinian? Brexit had a HUGE impact on how society in UK became even more fractured and divided. It allowed there to be a voice for racists and bigots and almost have it verified because of how the Tories framed their propaganda. It shouldn't have to be said, of course. But even if it wasn't, racism is still a thing?
  2. If they're not Arab or Muslim they'll be welcomed with open arms. Ukrainians were last year... Shame that I have to say that but it appears to be the reality.
  3. Fair enough. I think it's getting to me just constantly seeing the news about it all. I feel so sorry for all civilians caught up in this who want no part in it
  4. Forgive me if I'm missing something, and again I'm not taking any side and definitely not defending Hamas here, but where are all the pictures of any aftermath of Hamas firing rockets into Israel? Which cities or villages or settlements in Israel are being attacked or bombed by Hamas? I'm aware Ashkelon suffered some hits soon after the 7th Oct event, but I don't see anything in the news about where Israeli cities are being targeted. There's a lot of attention, rightly so, about southern cities of the Gaza strip being obliterated, and it makes me sick to the stomach seeing the damage and hammering they've received there. But that's all BBC or Sky or ITV seem to show here. Their reporters seem 'safe' in the likes of Jerusalem or other parts of West Bank, but I don't recall seeing any pictures or videos or images of buildings targeted by Hamas. To me, it begs the question of how much will Israel continue to bombard Gaza and the innocent civilians within, whilst continuing to seemingly hide under the 'Hamas officials are hiding within'?
  5. Sent mine. Why is everyone else taking ages ?
  6. But betting on your own team, regardless, is a bannable offence, no?
  7. So Israel bombed a refugee camp, but caveated it with saying they killed a Hamas serial commander at the same time. Collateral by using civilians as an excuse. And yet it still won't be called genocide.

    I'll add a 4th 'why?!'
  9. I think the first thing to address is that Maresca clearly knows which kind of player to target and focus on, and one's with the right mindset and attitude. We lost that with Rodgers. It's hard to say how the squad will look like next season. I think players like Vestergaard, as well as they've done so far, won't be here as they probably aren't quite PL-level quality, but can boss the Championship. Ward and Iversen are likely to be gone, and should be. Hermansen is really good. Fatawu has to be here. You can tell he's the kind of player with a high ceiling. Dewsbury-Hall, Winks, Pereira, Coady, Justin, Ndidi, Iheanacho, Vardy, Mavididi, Faes I'd like to still see at the club. There's a mixture there of talent and experience and some of them who regressed seemed to be on an upward trajectory again under Maresca. Albrighton perhaps but purely from an experienced leader perspective as opposed to having the quality on the pitch. I think we have the capacity to eventually get into top 6, but how long that'll be I don't know. As well as individual players regressing, I think we were set back a good few years with the relegation. Financially and on the pitch. With how we've played so far and changed in such a short time under Maresca, it gives me hope that we'll play productive football and actually have some identity about us, which will hopefully be attractive to players we'd want to sign which can meet the demands of a PL club. I think the team should be built around Winks. He's so good under this way we're playing.
  10. Bas Dost collapsed in stoppage time earlier today in the AZ/NEC Nijmegen match. Thankfully, regained consciousness as he was taken off the pitch.

  13. A winner apiece for each game in a Yorkshire derby and a Manchester derby... Game 55 had an early goal for Sheff Weds, in the 11th minute: 1 point Meanwhile, the first of 3 goals for Man City was in the 26th minute... 3 points! Table after Game 26: @JoshBRFC is now up to 3 points, while @Dr. Gonzo moved up several places to 9th after gaining his first Exact score.

    Cricket

I did not expect to win that by 100 runs after our low total. But epitomises where England are. Even 2 years ago that total gets smashed out the park within 30 overs or around that. These days, England players just lose their heads and all ability to consolidate an innings after a setback. Time and time again too many players don't look after their wicket. And you're not even talking inexperienced or amateurs, these are seasoned pros that battered everyone 4 years ago.

Didn't know where else to put this but a very tragic death in UK in ice hockey last might. A Nottingham player was hit by another player's skate, and died from injuries Have sadly seen the video and it's horrific. I'd encourage to avoid it and why I've not said more about the injury because it just really is not nice in the slightest. RIP Adam Johnson.
  16. Why does this matter? Yes, and drugs. But he had recovered and had spoken quite openly about it in his book. I think he had been clean for a while.
  17. That's a tough one to take RIP
  18. Cool, have a good night
  19. Fucked it with the Benfica pick. FFS.
  20. Think you brought it on yourself
