  1. Never said open the gates, I was merely saying we are talking about FFP only ever from the context of the commercial elite. I ask this, why is the safety of Malcolm Glazier's leveraging more of a vocalised concern to a Crystal Palace Fan than say Aston Villa having walked straight past you and Brentford with mass outside investment? We are so bent to viewing the world through the lens of the commercial elite. We are accepting the fate of some clubs, like Palace, as if unimportant. To accept the numbers currently allowed and capable of bypassing. The fear is more turn up if the rules are removed? Doesn't that sum up the often remarked point that FFP is to protect the status quo of the time it was written.
  2. This is the problem with England's FFP. It was supposed to stop bad decisions that ruin clubs but people only talk about it in terms of stopping people challenging the hegemony of the commercial elite. We've lost sight of the Leeds United the rules are supposed to be grounded in.
  3. It's £30m and Chelsea get 40% of that. Bit of bollocks that though isn't it. It was always said that selling Saint Maximin sale would allow for both these deals to happen. We weren't going to pay more at the expense of a 2nd deal.
  4. Everyone is at the end of their tether with this lot. You've been relegated, know your place, bend over
  5. Half your team are sex offenders so should be nowhere near charity work
  6. The first time there was a charity shield when someone had won the double (Tottenham) they played against an FA XI, an all star team with the England manager. We'd call that very American if it happened now
  7. They have the most important decision to make every game. Heads or tails.
  8. A doorbell. All been replaced by Ring and competitors. And that noise everytime you open a corner shop door.
  9. Good chance it will melt from UEFA's carbon footprint if they host it
  10. Next poll should Tommy put both his sauerkraut and his strudel on onlyfans
  11. Given the climate crisis we can't have a summer tournament in the med ever again. It needs to just rotate between Scotland and Iceland.
  12. Not surprising, don't they delay live games 5 minutes so they can cut out any shots that have a political message they don't like, or was that the Chinese. I can't remember.
  13. When it happens it is going to be a horrible day for Spurs fans. I'm sure a lot will genuinely shed a tear.
  14. One of those polls that reveals your personality more than it does anything else.
  15. Southampton are putting price tags on their players that suggests they've forgotten they got relegated
  16. Are they bothering to buy any defenders?
  17. Always liked him as a co-commentator. Perfect voice and tone for it.
  18. It's not really true that Blair gets hardly any criticism. He's spent years as a toxic pariah in the UK for the sole reason of Iraq and had the utter humiliation of the Chilcot Inquiry. You can make a pretty strong argument that he and Campbell have been able to worm their way back into political life via the platform they got from the People's vote lot. They were struggling to have any heavyweight representation so got Blair on the phone. It has taken the toxicity out of his presence and he will likely now see out his life able to chime in here and there on British politics, which looked impossible just a few years ago. Opponents of anything he says will always fall back to Iraq to put him down. In regards to criminal proceedings against Blair lawyers have looked at this for years. Under the ICC, the crime of aggression was added on 2010. So applying retrospectively is not going to happen. The laws that did exist would be very difficult and controversial to turn into a conviction, therefore a trial is questionable. Parliament would have to vote a new English law and vote to retrospectively punish. Never going to happen. Whilst it's easy to say some get special treatment and perhaps there is a degree of weight in that, it is not entirely about that.
  19. There's a part of the Internet that have had their brains fall out through their arsehole and rattle around inside a tin can, making an incoherent and incessant noise that we can't seem to get rid of
  20. Cardiff tried to change the home kit. Which is far more extreme and less scope creep. The Saudi's have got their country colours from 4th kit that won't ever be used, to using the 4th kit like a 2nd kit, to releasing an even more Saudi 2nd kit At this rate me mam will be wearing a hijab next week.
