  1. Koeman did well with giving young players a chance and even won a trophy in some shit circumstances but at the same time, I'd never say he would be the correct man right now, for example, in taking the club forward. But I think his problem with Puig was personal to be honest.
  2. Germany close to completely legalising cannabis @Tommy
  3. He showed talent in the first team when given a chance about 2.5 years ago under Setién. Koeman came in, accused him of leaking information to the press, never played him and since then he has fallen massively down the pecking order and has an array of much better young talent ahead of him. I'm surprised he's going to the USA mind as he should have gone to a lower half La Liga club. It could have revived him. He doesn't seem to really have any care or desire to progress though. Koeman didn't like him, but he didn't help himself either. As Balón said, he lacks when it comes to the physical aspect also.
  4. I've finally persuaded a mate of mine to come to Spain with me in Sept, he booked it last night to join me after recently getting his passport, going to Turkey and Lanzarote and now wanting to visit more spots. Anyway, to the point; he wants to go Mexico(to where you head to), and so do I of course, so we are going to book it for later next year. It'd be better going with someone. Europe and Canada on my own is nothing, but Latin America is a bit, well, different. I also want to go to Canada still, so I'll have to see on the money situation as flights across the Atlantic are expensive, it's not like the £100 flights in Europe. But I would love to have finally been to both by the end of next year and shut up talking about it . You never know, you might suffer from "el síndrome de Estocolmo" and take a liking to them.
  5. I agree with pretty much all on the list, there has been some absolutely horrible signings since the Rosell/Bartomeu era, but not necessarily the following:- Claudio Bravo - He was excellent in that treble winning team, but unfortunately Barça also had Ter Stegen so one had to depart and it wasn't going to be the much younger keeper. Ousmane Dembélé - He's actually avoided injuries since Xavi came in, has drastically improved his final product in terms of creating chances, his physique and recently his attitude it appears. He's a highly talented player and if he can add goals to his game and start scoring solo goals like against Juve in the friendly the other day, then he will be deadly. He was only 19 when the club signed him, has largely played under awful managers and injuries held him back but he seems to have finally turned a corner. De Jong - He needs to improve his consistency which can make him frustrating but when the team play well, he's an important player. The 2 who surprised me were Arthur and Denis Suárez as you'd genuinely have thought they'd have gone on to thrive at the club. A key point would be the managers during this time:- Tata Martino - What the fuck? Luis Enrique - No complaints there really, but a bit short lived at the same time. Valverde - He did well domestically but the football was unappealing, he wasn't the man for big European nights and I've never had the impression that he's a manager who can control egos. Setien - What the fuck? Koeman - What the fuck? These are all even more uninspiring than the signings. Maybe a better manager would have gotten more from some of these players we have been critical of. However I don't think there is any sense in relating those signings to the present as it's a different board now. Lenglet being sold with Christensen and Koundé doesn't really have any relation to each other in terms of who where behind the respective signings. Also from a football perspective(if you weren't to put the club's future at risk in the process), a couple of defenders are what the team lacked the most by far. Piqué - He should have retired years ago. Umtiti - He's not fit to play anymore, his injuries finished him off. Lenglet - He costs you 20 points a season. Fuck me, he'd put you in debt himself. Utterly terrible defender. Araújo - Arguably the best defender the club have had since Puyol, but he needs a solid partner. Saying that, it's also down to Xavi to tighten that defence up as a big part of defending isn't simply the personnel but how a team sets out tactically. I have alot of faith in Xavi. The football Barça played during that period earlier this year, before losing momentum after the international break, was the best I've seen at the club in years. He has a strong squad to work with now. As for Laporta. Can you trust him? Not everything he has done thus far has been negative, especially when it comes to renewing players, he also knows how to recruit(i.e Xavi and Mateu Alemany), but at what cost could some of the massively wreckless decisions come at? We'll have to see.
  6. Have you ever ventured to the pacific side of Mexico mate?
  7. Haha well I've been meeting a lady down there, which played its part. But to be honest I'm not sure what the future holds on that one now and it'll probably be my last time there for a while. I've got a few more things to do, such as el Caminito del rey, visiting some little towns in the middle of nowhere and then a trip back to Barcelona(Camp Nou for a game, Tarragona, Gerona and few other spots) is on the books after the World Cup, then probably Canada when more flights, etc start becoming available. That flight will kill me though. I can barely handle a few hours. Have you not got anything planned?
  8. 27th Sept: Manchester to Málaga £19.99 7th Oct: Málaga to Manchester- £23 That's another plus to Europe, flights at that price @Spike
  9. It's good to see you back David, even if you are a massive prick x.
  10. The fella next door is led put in the sun with a jumper and pants on. It's like 30 degrees .
  11. Cancelled on the way back as well, so I've had to go to Manchester Picadilly, then from there to Wigan and now to my destination. Worst fucking rail network in the world. They don't even give you refunds either so I've paid double bubble going there and coming back. They've literally ripped me off 30 quid. The Easyjet flight was 20 minutes early, you can't grumble with them in general. But fuck those trains, it's problem after problem after problem and the people who work for the likes of transpennine and northern rail are often massive clowns with shit attitudes as well. What gives those utter cretins the right to go on strike all the time and hold the country to ransome?
  12. Not the greatest of footage, but there's 4 dolphins jumping there. It's a shame the twat on the speed boat went over them and ruined the shot.
  13. Mine was also delayed 1.5 hours. But first, my train was cancelled at the last minute(fuck that railway network now, it honestly just needs abolishing. It's terrible), I had to get another train, which was also delayed and then we were on it 20 mins extra. I get to the airport, stuck in customs forever as they were way under staffed and then the flight was delayed and we were sat in a little room all jam packed in. Awful day. I've got to say, I'm fucking glad to have gotten here.
  14. I've paid for extra leg room as I always do now. The bigger hand luggage is more than enough for me. You only need shorts and t-shirts. How long have you got there?
  15. Who did you fly with mate? I'm going with easyjet next Wednesday but all these cancellations and strikes are worrying. I don't care too much if they cancel it coming back though.
  16. 654.17 GBP = 1,000 CAD That's a nice exchange rate. @Viva la FCB 869.34 GBP = 1,000 EUR That is fucking terrible and getting worse.

This picture also proves they had lawnmowers back then...
  18. I think you're allowed to smoke anywhere where it's legal to smoke cigarettes in Canada, I.e as long as you're outdoors, I doubt anybody will care. Yeah I will definitely have to attend a Leaf's game if they are playing at home around that period. I might even feature on TV like @Storts the other week . Vancoover actually stands out more, but is much further to travel and one of the reasons for Toronto(around 7.5 hour flight) is to get used to longer flights before going to the likes of Mexico and Colombia. Of course it is somewhere I want to visit as well and Niagara falls will be a great experience.
  19. @MUFC To be fair, we laugh and joke at Vanilla Ice as being some type of clown, but he was actually class in his day and killed it! He put out some underground bangers.
  20. I'm back in South Spain again in 5 weeks for a week, but Toronto is on the cards(and Niagra Falls), either by the end of this year or very early next year. I'm going to work out when the best time will be and decent prices. Things I'm planning:- 1. Explore the fuck out of every part of the city as I always do in new places. 2. Do some fishing on one of the huge lakes, maybe for Bass since it's the main species to fish for among Canadians. 3. Do Niagra Falls. 4. Smoke shit loads of weed, it's legal, potent and cheap as chips there after all. 5. Maybe go to an Ice Hockey game. I know little about it but it would be a new experience. Obviously plenty of other things.
  21. There is always the European Super league On a serious note, it's sad to see any club die, whoever they are. Hopefully that doesn't happen. But this must worry Chelsea. Even with a new owner, you don't know if that owner is suitable. Roman was one of the better ones, love him or loathe him.
  22. This is more like late spring Costa del sol weather. Nudist beaches tomorrow I think...
