  1. Now Raphinha with a long shot after just coming off the bench to make it 4.
  2. Joao Félix is quality when he has his day. Such a talent but needs to learn how to unleash it more consistently. Maybe he can for Barcelona. Lewandowski now getting back into scoring form. I can see Xavi's strongest front 3 as Yamal - Lewy - Félix as the games go by. Torres has improved this season, but for me is better as an impact sub. As for Raphinha, he's talented but he's not the player Barcelona need to go forward at all. Balde starting this season as he was last season, brilliant. Liking this team, it's only going to keep improving.
  3. Just say "no comment" @Tommy and you'll be fine....
  4. That's illegal and I'm telling the German police immediately!
  5. When Pedri and Araújo play, the difference in how the team play compared to when they are missing is huge. The only problem is, those 2 are the ones who pick up the most niggling injuries. I think a top side is really starting to form though and winning LaLiga gives these players a taste of winning things. The positive is that Laporte has managed to reduce the wage bill by 161 million, while being 45 million better off from transfers and having a stronger squad than last season. Cancelo and Gundogan will 100% be a success for me(unless they are struck by injuries), it's Félix who I'm not sure about.
  6. Signing Koundé has definitely been one of the positive signings so far since Laporta returned.
  7. Iñigo Martínez - free transfer Oriol Romeu - free transfer Gundogan - free transfer Joao Félix - loan Joao Cancelo - loan Lamine Yamal - youth system Not a bad window.
  8. Gavi will make his 100th appearance tonight and has just turned 19. Yamal starting again. Great that he hasn't been dropped for Raphinha now that he's back, just because the latter cost whatever million.
  9. Burnley are in fantastic form. Hopefully they keep this up... Everton have been horrible themselves, although you could see them staying up in the end, similar to last season, where they were utter wank, but due to other teams being even more wank than they are, they had a lucky escape. That's not to say I wish for them to go down, but it honestly may even do them good, as strange as it sounds.
  10. It's a shit draw for Rovers as well to be honest mate. Cardiff are never an easy one. Both teams in similar form as well, I.e shit.
  11. The one thing Barcelona lack right now is a young striker, so hopefully he ends being a success. Cancelo looks to be the next signing. I think that is a positive one. A right back with experience is the main weakness in the side and before his fall out with Pep, he was key for City. He also has experience in LaLiga due to his time at Valencia. His fall out with Pep is the only real Red flag, but then Pep has fallen out with players like Eto'o, Ibrahimovic and Yaya over the years, so it doesn't necessarily mean he'll fall out with Xavi.
  12. I was thinking playing for Miami could prolong his international career since he's playing with less pressure now.
  13. @El Profesor actually mentioned the other day how some Brazilian players can go on strike to force a move ironically
  14. Big win without Pedri, Araújo and Balde against a tough Villarreal who attacked well and made for a great game. Ferrán looks a different player so far this season when coming off the bench. A solid pre season as well. Yamal or de Jong man of the match. Solid game from Gavi. Lewandowski with a needed goal.
  15. 2023-24: Lamine Yamal Very impressive so far, both in pre season and so far in LaLiga. But let's not add too much pressure too soon or burn the kid out.
  16. This isn't more like it. 2-2, can't say that Villarreal haven't been the better team though.
  17. Gavi to make it 1-0 after a lovely ball in from Yamal, who at 16, already looks to have won himself a spot in the team. Just as I write that and it's 0-2, great team team goal, de Jong to finish it off. This is more like it @Stan
  18. It's like playing Fifa on amateur mode. Messi and Busquets could have still played for a top European team for a year or 2.
  19. They are sure making their mark too. Showing @Coma and @Eco what soccer is!
